Good customer service. Hubby enjoyed his beer -and that's what counts! Pizza was tasty. Wish I could explore more of their menu, but I was press for time.

This is a great casual place to grab pizza and a beer. Not too much seating available, so might be tough for larger groups at peak hours. Super chill vibe!

When here for Valentines 02.14.25. Found an open table and sat down. Greeted and Ordered from the menu. Ordered a cider drink and Pizza Pie. All came within 15 minutes The cider beer was delicious and the pizza pie was amazing. First time here. I was impressed by the taste of the pizza. Fresh and thin crust reminded me of an official New York Pizza. Friendly ambiance and plenty of street parking nearby. This place is a cool place to socialize and drinks. I will definitely come back. Fun bar to have. Kudos the service! Always checking up on us to see if we were ok. Good job!

I love this place. Hadn't been in a couple of years and I have to come more often. Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a nice amount of seating. Service is wonderful with great staff. Pizza is amazing. Love all the food options. Beer is soooo good and such a good variety. It's family friendly as well. Just wish they had another restroom. Can't wait to go back.

    The notes are so funny.

Y'all have no excuse to not come here if you're in Long Beach. My boyfriend suggested coming to Long Beach after I spent the day typing an essay. I'm so happy we came here because it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted when we walked in and Justing was our bartender. He suggested drinks and food, which is helpful when you have not been to a restaurant before. He is so attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. He is the perfect addition to Dutch's Brewhouse. We ordered the White Knight pizza and it was so delicious! My boyfriend and I shared the pizza, it is thin crust which is actually beneficial because drinking beer and eating pizza can feel heavy on the pansa. Overall, the service here is outstanding and a factor in why y'all should come here. Stop wondering if you should come and just do it.

I researched a brewery for Rdawgs 50th birthday. This place did not disappoint. The service was excellent. They were very accommodating and I appreciated it. Our entire party enjoyed their pizza's. I enjoyed a dirty bird pizza with no cheese, I know I know Boring, but nope it was so yummy! I also tried a pickle stuffed with takis. We will return. I'll have Rdawg leave his own review of the beers but if you want a tasty root beer come here!

Bixby Knoll is such a cool part of LBC and on Atlantic Ave there are so many amazing places! Last night we went to Dutch's BrewHouse for a chill night - pizza and beer! And it was a great choice. Super casual place and a lot of local people there for beers, we sat down and ordered Dark Lager and Brown Ale along with Mama's Boy and Huntsman. Beers were good- nice cold and both pizza's were amazing. They make their own sausages which they use on pizza. Doug and thin slice of pizza were super delicious and light. Decent portion- a pizza will be enough for two people. Service was great and the owner of the place was super nice and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

One of my personal favorites. Cold beer on tap and good vibes. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming. It never takes long to get a second beer. Well, they have a limited food menu. The perfect pep is still my favorite go to pizza here. Pizzas are not huge but you could probably share it between 2 people. They also have a frito pie that is sooooo good! Overall great local spot in Bixby Knolls.

    Grindtime

Stopped in for two pizzas to go. Grind time and dirty bird. Both equally yummy. Hung out at the bar while we waited. Great atmosphere. The owner is very nice and welcoming. We will be back.

I've had my…read moreeye on The 4th Horseman for the longest time, so wifey and I finally made the trip to LBC to check it out. We parked at a garage at the City Place Shopping Center a block away that has free parking for the first two hours, so it's definitely worth it. There's also some street parking if you can find it, but keep it simple and park at the garage so you're not worrying about time. I've been told that they check parking at the Burger King next door, so don't park there. The 4th Horseman is located off of 4th St & Solana Ct. It's a 21 and over bar, so absolutely no kids allowed (completely heavenly to get away from screaming brats for a while). There's a small stage in front for when they have bands, trivia nights, comedy shows, movie nights, etc. There's bar seating and plenty of tables all throughout the joint, so if you don't readily find a spot to squat keep on walking and you'll find something. It's a full bar, so they have whatever's your poison. For food there's pizza (by the slice or full pies), calzone, salad, brussels sprouts, and sourdough knots. We kept it simple and had the Slasher Pizza (pepperoni) with a Basic Salad. We sat in the back past the bar, which is where they have a pool table and a bunch of arcades to kill some time. There's a self-serve water station, but if you need anything else just go to the bar and they'll be more than happy to help you out. The pizza and salad were pretty good! If you're more health-conscious, they have a lot of vegan options to choose from. If you don't care about that, the pizza slices are huge and have the perfect amount of grease while you're pounding drinks! Honestly, I'm a big fan of The 4th Horseman! Growing up a metalhead, the music and atmosphere are nice and cozy for me. The employees were all really nice, which is always a big plus when trying something new. My only regret was not grabbing some of their merch on my way out, but next time we make the trip I definitely will!

All the pizzas we have tried have been delicious-the most surprising though has to the vegan pizza. I loved the sauce that was on it -it was a chili garlic sauce and packed a great kick. I also love their soda collection they have for any non-alcohol drinkers. Both times we have gone they have had different selections. We will be back for more trivia and different pizzas soon!

We'd be happy to come down again in traffic, because it's absolutely worth the drive here. Some find the pizza sizes small or the prices high in comparison to your average pizza joint - but your average, everyday pizza place in California is just...ew. Their crust is very thin, Neapolitan style in a brick oven, beautiful and a little chewy, slightly-charred from the brick oven. Amazing texture. Traditionalists, so we just got the Margherita and Bianco, adding some mushrooms and a drizzle of truffle. SOO good. We also tried the fried zucchini blossoms, which were very light and not oily at all. Caesar salad was very delicious and fresh, also had the octopus, which was perfectly grilled and like eating steak. To finish, we had some amazing coffee with tiramisu. Wow. Not usually a fan, but their tiramisu was super light, not overly sweet, and super good. Thanks to our wonderful server, Diana ! Super friendly and everything came out quickly. Eveything is delicate, fresh, lovely, and makes you feel like you're in Italy. Can't wait to be back. Tutto bene, grazie!

The wedges were cut to a decent size, seasoned well and crunchy on the outside. Their ranch is also great, I am not sure if it's made in house but it tastes like it is. We ordered a half and half pizza online for pickup and spent over $30 for pizza and a 4oz container of ranch. They told us it would be about 20min when we ordered so we got ready and left. We got there probably 15min after we ordered and grabbed two cokes while we waited. I tried to pay with cash and was told he might not have change to give me. I said that was ok even though it's pretty lame that you don't keep change in your register. He happened to find a very large coin bag and made me change. We were sitting right at the front and you couldn't miss us. They asked us a few times what our name for the order was and we told them the same thing every time. Finally after about 10 min they asked us for the 3rd time what our name was and then walked away. We could hear someone say "the order for Kymmy didn't leave they are here" or something along those lines. We kind of just looked at each other. The guy that rang us up came over and said, "sorry something happened to your pizza it'll be another 20min or so". At this point we had already been waiting about 15 min for the pizza. So we said ok because we were starving. One of the employees asked us if we drank wine we said no we didn't and that's why we were drinking cokes. He said, "ohh, okayyyy..." and gave us a very judgmental look. Like sir, you don't know why we aren't drinking. We also kind of figured he wanted to give us a few beverage for the mix up. But that was the end of it. We heard someone say our name and we asked if ours was ready and one girl acted like we were being impatient while waiting. Like we didn't just wait over a half hour for food. Finally our pizza was done after a total of 40 min and there was very minimal apology for the delay. We took it back to our hotel and we were so excited it smelled so amazing and it looked so good. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were when we took our first few bites. It was not that great. We had ordered pepperoni and the veggie pizza. We ate half of it because we were starving and very quickly regretted it. It made both of us super sick on top of everything else Needless to say we won't be back here and won't be recommending this place either

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.
