I was in the mood for sushi and was in the area so ended up here. The sushi was overall pretty good, I really liked their popcorn roll and black spider roll. The sauce that they marinated with elevated its taste imo. I would say this place is comparable to other sushi restaurants in the area for the prices that they charge and the food quality that they offer. We also went on a Saturday during lunch time and didn't have to wait at all which was really nice. Service was pretty decent as well so no complaints. Tip: join their waitlist in Yelp What I tried Appetizers -cucumber salad: refreshing and honestly, good portion with a creamy side sauce -takoyaki: this small dish never ceases to amaze me at Japanese restaurants. They always cook it perfectly with dried bonito flakes adding an extra fishy taste and texture -baked green mussel: plenty of mayo and eel sauce drowning on top of the mussel. The mussel is actually very soft. -salmon collar: heavenly and melts in your mouth. Salmon is well seasoned and charred. Ponzu sauce was also incredible with a hint of spice. Rolls -energy roll: explicit like its name, this was on the heavier side, a lot happening both inside and outside of the sushi piece. You can def see the layers in the sushi and feel it in your mouth when you take a bite -black spider roll: def a fav roll. I'm a total fan of water eel which paired well with the spicy mayo. EAT'S has been on my radar for a while, so I'm glad I could finally try it. Located in a shopping center, there was ample free parking. I was a little nervous when they closed down their remote Yelp Waitlist for the evening (they don't take reservations), but a quick call confirmed their not-so-long wait time. When you walk inside, there is a tablet for the Waitlist. I went on a Friday evening on a holiday weekend, and the wait was around 30 minutes. The inside is well decorated. The menu has pictures, and you order from a paper you notate. Throughout the experience, the customer service was excellent. Our server was very attentive, and food came out very fast. The Yellow Tail Sashimi was a highlight for my sister and I. The sauce was delicious and the fish was fresh. They had a large variety of options for rolls. We tried 3-4. They were unique and tasty. We had dinner here last week. There is plenty of parking available. The restaurant itself feels warm and inviting. We ordered chicken karaage, beef bulgolgi and a black spider roll for appetizers. The karaage was easily the best ever. Crispy outside with moist chicken on the inside. The portion was a really good size. The bulgolgi was also a good size portion. The beef was soft and flavorful. We really should have gotten a bowl of rice to go along with both dishes. The black spider roll was delicious and was filled with soft shell crab, spicy albacore and eel. I also got a bottle of Sapporo and liked that it came with a chilled glass. I know most places do that but there are still places that do not. We ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box. The chicken was tender and so flavorful with a delicious teriyaki glaze. The rice and salad pair perfectly. We also ordered a tonkotsu ramen. They only make a limited amount each night. The ramen noodles were nice and bouncy. The dashi was rich and creamy. Quite possibly my favorite ramen broth ever. We also got a sashimi plate. While everything was amazing, this was the star of the meal. Large, thick cut slices of sashimi that melted in the mouth and served with real wasabi. Everything on Combo Sashimi A was fresh and tasty. It came with 4-5 pieces each of tuna, salmon, and albacore with thinly sliced radish (instead of shredded). This place also provided some fresh wasabi instead of the usual paste. Red Eye (no rice roll) was excellent with a little bit of spicy kick from spicy crab mixture and soy mustard sauce. We ordered toro, which should be buttery and tender, but instead it was hard and tough - almost like it had been sitting too long or wasn't properly prepared. It honestly makes me wonder if the quality of the fish being used for delivery orders isn't the same as what is served to dine-in customers. I hope that's not the case, but the difference in quality has been noticeable. We want to support this restaurant because we've had good experiences in the past, but after two disappointing delivery orders, we're hesitant to order again. They also serve Ramen here that is a Shoyu Tonkatsu Ramen where the broth is on the creamier side. Not my first go to as it's their only Ramen choice, but tasty nonetheless. Service: They do a fantastic job of checking up on you at a pace where you can eat continuously and have everything you need to have an enjoyable experience.
