We ordered several items to share: bone marrow carne asada, Spencer steak, mac and cheese, grilled octopus, pork belly burnt ends, fries. The mac and cheese was really good, better than the beef. We paired the food with Chianti which was a good accompaniment. Of course, we had to end with some dessert. We got an assortment of sorbet: lime, mango, peach. We definitely left feeling full. Went to Echo & Rig in Summerlin for my wife's birthday. Made a reservation for 3. Arrived 5 mins early and our table was not ready. We waited in the bar, ordered three drinks and sat there. It was about 15 to 20 mins before being seated. What is the point of a reservation when the restaurant can't seat you upon your arrival. The host asked if we would like to seated inside or out and we decided to see what the outside would be like. When my wife decided not to sit outside we asked if we could be seated inside. This is where some confusion took place. They told us there might not be a table now and we would have to seated outside or wait a few more minutes to seated inside. This was right after we were given the choice not 5 minutes before. We did get to sit inside and 3 people got together and discussed where we could be seated. We love that the restaurant has a policy of allowing the bringing in of wine or champagne and not charge a corking fee. We have always appreciated this perk. We did bring a bottle of champagne for my wife's birthday and the server was kind to open it for us to enjoy. After she poured she just placed the bottle on the table and walked away. Not asking if we would like it on ice for the remaining part of dinner. We constantly had to ask for water refills. The dessert for my wife's birthday was nice, but i was the only one that could eat it because of my wife and daughter's dairy issues. Hey! More for me! But that wasn't asked before anything was ordered. The food is always good there. That is not an issue. We enjoyed the dinner. Not a fan of the service from the very start. We have been fans of Echo & Rig for many years. We have sent numerous friends here when they visit Las Vegas. This trip we were completely disappointed and will likely not be back. Not sure what happened in the last 12 months. Food was ok, though our favorite friend spinach salad was greasy. The big issue was the wine list. Coming for steak- at a STEAK HOUSE - for us means a good Cabernet to go with the meat. When ordering wine the first FOUR that we attempted to order were not available. Why publish a list when the items are not available? We even switched to a Merlot and that was not available either. Not sure how a steak house with such a good reputation could fall so short on making our visit memorable with accompanying good wine choices. After calling or the manager to assist, we were offered a $200 bottle of wine which was asked to have a discount on. We were able to get a small discount (on a bottle that is about $50 retail.). While this trip was a disappointment we hope the restaurant figures out how to address their shortcomings. We also found it odd that the place was not crowded considering that there were a lot of activities drawing tourists to town. Maybe that should have been a clue. read more

I've been here quite a few times and I am surprised this was my first writing a review. From the moment I called to make a reservation the person who answered the phone was friendly and said my name and welcomed me back-I thought was a nice touch. The restaurant is always busy but they get you seated in a timely manner. I love the vibe in here, a nice steakhouse but not too buttoned up. And they have beautiful chandeliers. The service was incredible, Becky was nice and made great suggestions. We had the fried spinach salad, sweet and spicy cauliflower, and portobello fries. She was also kind enough to bring my boys food out same time as the appetizers. I ordered salmon which is really wild caught-you have to ask. It was prepared perfectly! Came in for dinner on a Wednesday evening. The waiting area was not very welcoming. There is no where to sit and they had a fan running that was deafeningly loud. It was basically impossible to carry a conversation. I really did not like the wait. I eventually made it up to our table and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The table was sort of just out there in the middle of the room. I usually prefer a bit more secluded and intimate set up. We tried the portobello fries and the sweet fire cauliflower. The portobello fries had a really good crunch on the outside with a great mushroom flavor. I would recommend those. The cauliflower didn't really stand out or leave a strong impression. You can probably just skip them. For the main dish I went with the bavette, medium, with brandied mushroom sauce. The steak was definitely more rare than I ordered. The flavor on the steak was really good and so was the sauce. My sauce didn't have any mushrooms though... not sure where they went. Also the knife they gave me was not sharp enough to cut through the steak, it was really frustrating. I also took 5-10 minutes to get a glass of wine. Not sure what was taking so long but it did seem like an eternity. The pours were not consistent. My glass had almost half of the wine that others got on my table. Overall it was a good dinner. Unfortunately I won't be coming back. There are better options and I can't justify choosing Echo & Rig over them. read more

My partner booked a reservation for a early dinner at Echo & Rig around 2:30 P.M on a Friday afternoon. Echo & Rig is located in Tivoli village, Summerlin, shopping center. There is outside parking and underground parking available. Echo & Rig has inside seating, bar, and outside seating available. Making a reservation for Echo & Rig was a breeze online. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, the hostess greeted us and checked our reservation. My partner and I were then guided to the dining availability on the second floor. There was no one inside the restaurant! I was quite in awe at how beautiful the restaurant is. The ambiance is amazing! The first team member assisting our table was great! She brought us waters immediately and asked if we would like bread/butter. I opted for a soda and water as well. After reviewing the menu, we had decided to order the following Small Plates & Vegetables: Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes & White Cheddar Mac & Cheese Entrees: BAVETTE SRF American Kobe One of Europe's most popular cuts - medium with the Lemon Chimichurri sauce Baby Back Ribs: tropical fruit and house made sauce We didn't order any appetizers as were expecting a lot of food with the entrees. Unfortunately, the team member whom was assisting our table had to leave and another team member assisted our table. The service went significantly lower. The table placements, specifically the steak knife was dirty. We had to get a replacement. Afterwards, when the entrees came out, the chimichurri sauce was missing with the Bavette steak. We waited about 15 minutes for the team member to come to our table and ask for the sauce, including an extra plate to share the mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. The Baby Back Ribs was sweet and extremely spicy. If you like spicy food, you'll enjoy the Baby Back Ribs! The vegetables were good. My partner really enjoyed the Bavette steak especially with the chimichurri sauce. The potatoes chips were burnt though and was quite inedible. The roasted garlic mashed potatoes & white cheddar was absolutely delicious! The Mac & Cheese was my favorite dish though. The baked bread crumbs on top was a wonderful addition to the dish. It was my first time at a steakhouse but I had an amazing experience. The service was really good and they were very attentive to us. We were early to our reservation but they were able to accommodate us. The chefs cooked the food very well and to our liking. The food presentation/plating had a visual appeal and made me want to eat the food. Overall, it was a really good experience and the next time I go to Nevada, I will come here again. read more

The location is a bit far from the city center but situated in a quiet and beautiful mall, making parking and reservation easy. The people are all very nice. We arrived after 2 PM and only then found out that steak wasn't on the lunch menu, but they still made it for us. When they learned we were celebrating my mother's birthday, they brought out ice cream with a candle - it was very heartwarming and delicious! I have been going to Echo and Rig for years and never have been disappointed until now. I just picked up my Thanksgiving feast meal that is supposed to seserve 6 to 8 people. I have 4 grown men who can eat one side by themselves. There is no way the feast will feed 6 to 8 people. I thought this was a great idea since i cant be on my feet (awaiting double knee surgery), but i now regret going this route as I now have to spend more money to make more stuffing, more potatoes and buy alot more gravy. The level of hospitality from the hostess, the manager, and our waiter was just unmatched. We also loved that they wished us a happy anniversary and offered us a complimentary dessert for the occasion. We started with the prosciutto & burrata sourdough boule with roasted fig. It was absolutely delicious, especially the roasted fig. For dinner I had the Spencer and my husband had the Skirt. Both steaks were delicious. We also got a side of mac & cheese and the pistachio brussel sprouts. Everything was so good. I also loved the atmosphere. Seats were comfortable and tables were spaced nicely so we didn't feel like we were eating with strangers. The restrooms were also gorgeous with an amazing sugar scrub for your hands. I recently visited Echo & Rig for my birthday dinner/celebrating my baby to be born soon, and the ambiance and food were great, but the service was a major letdown. The restaurant was as busy as I've seen in the past (we had a reservation made weeks in advance); however, our server rushed us, and the evening felt so unpersonal. For example, upon asking us if we had dined there before we said we did and we also answered that we weren't interested in any of the "big steaks"... he seemed frustrated and basically asked us what we wanted to order then. Next, I wanted all of the sauces to go along with my steak, and he pushed back to make sure that I was certain and said that my steak was only 8 ounces. I'm not sure what he was trying to get at. If I want more sauces, then why not? Just charge me extra. I'm literally 9 months pregnant giving birth in 3 days. Our busser at least kept the waters full but seemed irritated to be there with his aggressive water pours and zero interaction. Him and the server were faster to clear our plates off the table than we had to wait for them initially to be delivered. The busser actually tried to take away the $100 bottle of wine my other guests had ordered that still had 2 glasses of wine remaining in it towards the end of dinner. For dessert, the waiter came by, and instead of asking if we wanted coffee, after dinner drinks, or to look at a dessert menu, he just told me 3 desserts that were complimentary for my birthday. It was super rude to assume that I shared with you that it was my dinner for the sole purpose of getting a free item. In fact, I didn't want any of the items he suggested, and he pushed back that it wouldn't be complimentary. I told him I didn't mind paying for it. Such a weird exchange at a nice restaurant. I felt like I was at Applebees. Honestly, this whole dinner was supposed to be a nice birthday/celebrating a new baby dinner, and it turned out to be so disappointing. I don't think we'll be back again. I'd much rather take my money somewhere I feel appreciated as a customer and not just another table in this waiter's section. read more

The echo and rig at Tívoli village has the best outdoor seating. With the weather cooling down it was nice to sit outside. We got the Caesars salad and French toast and it was delicious. I did NOT want to give this restaurant a rating because it deserves a HUGE ZERO!!! This was the second time I brought my parents here. The first time was absolutely amazing, but this one was completely disappointing! Since both of my parents' birthdays are in May, I took them to this restaurant to celebrate their birthdays on Friday May 2nd. It started out great. We had oysters, My mom and I ordered steak and my dad ordered the king salmon. We ate and we all had food to take home for the next night's dinner. Approximately 30 minutes after my mom ate her steak, she began feeling extremely nauseous. We left right afterwards because she said she didn't want to get worse and vomit there. We live 15 minutes away. She was nauseous the entire way home and the entire evening. An hour later, she vomited everything. I told her that she should have my dinner tomorrow night and I'll eat hers. She said no, it should be fine. The next night was an EXACT repeat of the previous night. Approximately 30 minutes after she had eaten, she began feeling very nauseous and an hour later, she vomited everything she ate. Immediately afterwards, I went to Echo & Rig to notify the manager there. In fact, it was the very manager who was there that night. I told him that my mom got food poisoning on May 2nd, when we were there, but he told me that no one else had complained about that and just brushed it off. The last thing he told me was that he will ask their public relations department contact me. Well, I have NOT heard one word from any PR rep.!!! Not one! This is an EXTREMELY expensive restaurant. IF AND WHEN the chefs and other employees DO NOT CARE ENOUGH to keep the meat they serve from being tainted, THAT IS WHEN CUSTOMERS GET FOOD POISONING, LIKE MY MOM DID! What is so grave is that I bet they would not care if the meat is tainted and would serve it anyway. They would NOT care about those who get sick eating there, given how the manager brushed me off. Beautiful decor, and the only reason I don't sit on the balcony is I'm not a fan of the Vegas heat, but their balcony is spectacular. I ordered 2 drinks, and they definitely could have been better. I got a blueberry bliss and an Off-the-grill, I think it was called. The first one was super tart and just too much lime, maybe, but I couldn't even finish it. The next one was just ok, very strong though. I ordered 1/2 dozen oysters, and they were great. I got the fried spinach salad, which was amazing. I also got the heirloom carrots and the spencer steak with the horseradish cream, and I also added the brandied mushrooms as well. The steak was just ok, and for the price it should have been better than that. It was cooked like I asked, but just meh. The "charred" carrots were definitely burned. My husband ordered the ribeye and asked for it medium, and it was rare. I asked for medium rare, and his steak was more rare than mine! The reviews sounded good and we were excited to try Echo & Rig. My husband's steak was under done and chewy. My salmon said it came with pureed beets and a citrus sauce but the citrus sauce was just a few dots on the plate. There was a lot of the pureed beets and it kind of took over the dish. Also, the place is very loud so if you're looking for a somewhat quiet place to relax this didn't cut it for us. I know a lot of people seem to like it and we wish them well but we won't be back. read more
