This restaurant is so romantic, has excellent service and absolutely delicious food. The ambiance is amazing and the entire place is so classy. Not a great dinning experience. We had to remind the waiter to bring the glass of wine we ordered. After waiting for a long time the waiter brought the wrong wine. I ordered a salad and asked to have the cheese on the side. The cheese was never brought to our table. Very slow service. They waiter only checked on us once during our entire meal. The chef's ambitions far exceed his talents. Everything seems either under- or over-seasoned. Classics from steamed clams to Caesar salad to cioppino to simple seared tuna have all been "reimagined" in one way or another with limited success. Case in point: Cioppino infused with so much smoke that it tastes more like a campfire than like anything of the sea. Case in point: a grilled deconstructed Caesar gets an inappropriate dose of sun dried tomato tapenade, but forgets the cheese and anchovies. Please, next time just call it a romaine salad with sun dried tomatoes. Case in point: Seared sushi grade tuna with "sticky rice" that had none of the sweetness of the classic rice dish -- just a hard congealed unseasoned blob in the middle of the plate. I could go on. Service is very nice. Cocktail and wine lists are nice. But for my money there are much more "seasoned" kitchens nearby. read more

Perhaps our best meal in RB...and that is saying a lot as there are so many great places. We started with drinks at the bar. The bartender was predictably grumpy but helpful enough. The potions were strong. We started with the tuna tartare and it was a fresh and interesting take on it. Then for our mains we had the grilled antelope and the seared grouper. They were both great, but the antelope was the hit of the night. Dessert was a deconstructed candy bar which was phenom. Also the wines are very reasonable. Nice variety of food, a vegan option. Super weird when we were told to only stay for 90 minutes and that there was no more complimentary bread because of COVID. Don't need that reminder at dinner! The set up was cute with the bedsheet-lookin dividers and server was knowledgeable. Absolutely a culinary delight! I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere the service and every course and beverage with my meal. It is the culinary experience I dream about but have rarely found since I left New York. My lamb was well prepared. Even the fat left on it was not too game y and was just enough to contribute to the culinary architecture of my meal. The crab and lobster tower with the avocado dressing and fruit salsa offered a natural decadence that was fresh and simple. We had dinner here with our daughter and sun in law last night and it was perfect! Our waiter, Kevin was attentive, knowledgeable and courteous. We went to Eden for our Valentine's Day dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the charcuterie board with assortment of cheeses and crab and lobster fritters to start. Perfect mixture of hot and cold. Everything was fresh and hot. The scallops were for dinner and I was very pleased! Environment was great very pretty decor inside. I'm not sure how we missed this Rehoboth Beach gem all these years, but we sure can't wait to get back! First thing to mention is the service. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted warmly and treated as an old friend. That carried through with the table service that was as good as it gets. Our server, Holly J., was knowledgeable, friendly, and perfectly efficient! Then came the food. Wow. Was I impressed! Pan seared Halibut served on a ginger/lemon grass risotto, with sauteed baby Bok Choy. Cooked perfectly, crispy skin and juicy center. My wife ordered the daily fish special, Arctic Char. Of course I tried it - and it was delicious! A very nice wine selection, with multiple price points. We shared a bottle of Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc, which matched well with our fish dinners. The price of the meal was actually a bit lower than I would have expected for meals as nice as this was, at a place as well appointed as Eden. What an evening, we were in Rehoboth for a much needed break during this time of quarantine and we decided to give Eden a try for one of our fancier nights out. We arrived on time for our 6:00 reservation and were seated immediately in one of the private booths we had seen in pictures. The staff was friendly and courteous as well as professional. I hadn't had scallops in quite a few years so I decided to try their pan seared day scallops. They were worth the wait. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. My partner decided she would go the salad and flat bread route and was equally impressed. It was a head of romaine cut in half and flame broiled with other accoutrements and a beef tenderloin flat bread both were incredible. Next time we come back to town we will definitely be dining there again. Kudos one and all. read more

This was not a good experience. We had a called a week ago to get a reservation for a nice table. When we arrived, the hostess was very pleasant and cheerful and she said that she was taking us to her favorite table. We were very excited and we were lead to believe that we were going to a special table. When we got there, it was a table next to the serving station with absolutely no atmosphere. I don't think I have ever seen a sadder, lonelier table in my entire life. Clearly, she was told to say this whenever she had to sit someone in that area of the restaurant. We asked to sit somewhere else and we ended up begging for another table. This is where it turned bad, out waiter didn't seem to like us and made that very clear. He thought we were being antagonistic, when it was really him. We told him about our bad experience with the table inside and he got defensive and arrogant. I felt so uncomfortable that I asked the others if we could leave. We didn't want him to cause a scene, so we told him we were leaving and not having dinner there. He comped out drinks which was very nice, but he was still quite visibly annoyed when we left. We actually have no idea what happened, but the entire experience was just plain bad read more

If you want to be berated by a hostess and browbeaten by a maitre d/waiter, this is the place for you. We booked a reservation for two on May 23, 2015 on open table. When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated at a table directly behind the reception station with a seat that extended into a main circulation aisle. When we asked to be moved, we were told by the hostess that there were no other seats, the seat in the aisle was not a problem, and if we wanted a better seat we should have said so in our reservation. Faced with that kind of deductive reasoning, and the fact that there were other empty tables, we decided to leave. As we were leaving we were confronted by the maitre d/waiter (he never identified himself) who quickly proclaimed that I was being too loud. Now that was probably the result of being 60 and having listened to loud rock and roll in my youth but that is not a way to start a meaningful conversation (quiet down old man!). We walked out the door as the unidentified man yelled out that he didn't know what our problem was. That one statement alone sums up the problem better than I ever could. We have eaten at Eden a few times before and enjoyed our dinners. The Chef is creative and the restaurant is well designed ( with the exception of the table in question). So I'm sure that someone in the management chain would actually want to hear about what really happened but we have not found that person yet. To make matters worse, we were notified by open table this morning that Eden reported that we cancelled our reservation. That actually prompted me to write this review. I guess lying by omission seems to be the way they handle issues. Avoid at all costs - there are plenty of other high end options in Rehoboth who appreciate your business. read more

Eden is adorable with its calming blue walls, mood lighting, and dreamy alcoves shielded from tables by sheer drapes. We (Mara G. and I) were seated in one of those alcoves (booths, really) with our drapes open. We made the reservation on open table about two weeks prior and were anticipating our opportunity to dine in style. This was a four and a half star experience. We selected a lovely bottle from the extensive and intelligent wine list. I asked about cork 'n' carry and of course it's allowed in this county! Yay! It was promptly opened and served. The bread service was prompt and delicious: fresh onion bread with butter (white truffle oil, sea salt, and black pepper). But why do places bring two people three pieces of bread? Puzzling. How do they expect us to resolve the issue of the extra piece? A duel at the table? Why can't they just bring us four? Or two? Thankfully, Mara G. (*cough* ...breadaholic... *cough*) sliced the third piece in half and shared it with me. To be fair, we were offered more bread. We started by sharing the veal cheek appetizer. It was an absolutely amazing, generous portion of tender, succulent meat, served with adorable little mini potato pancakes, and the loveliest cherry glaze. Get this. It is quite enough for two. There was an unseemly long wait between our first and main courses. When the main courses arrived, my scallops were only lukewarm. Mara G.'s pork ossobuco was downright cool. Its as if they left it sitting just beyond the arc of the heatlamp. Mine was beautiful. (see pic) Four huge U-10 seared scallops in a lovely tomatillo zucchini broth over parmesan risotto with asparagus. Incredible. However, Mara G.'s plating looked more like "grandma's kitchen" rather than "modern new American $27 a plate food" (see pic) There were gigantic mounds of polenta heaped here and there, as if someone had scraped the bottom of the pot and flicked them onto the plate. No artfully placed ramekin-shaped polenta orbs floating in gorgeous gravy here. Oh well. Guess they didn't think she'd eat with her eyes. To be fair, I am only docking one-fourth of a star for temperature and plating because the flavor and texture of the huge morsels she gave were great. Mara G. chose the carrot cake waffle for the dessert simply because hazelnut ice cream was listed. See if you can order just the hazelnut ice cream if that is what you want. Honestly, I am still longing for the warm apple cake we did not get. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed dining at Eden and would absolutely return. Eden was excellent. I came here with a group of 15 to celebrate my sister's upcoming wedding. Everyone was pleased and the restaurant did a superb job serving us. The space itself is amazing. We sat upstairs - the rustic decor is beautiful. We all ordered cocktails. They were inventive and delicious. The bread, served with truffle butter, was a great start to the meal. The salads were tasty and portions were generous. The entrees were out of this world. The ahi tuna was incredible. The salmon was cooked to perfect. The lemon chicken had mouthwatering flavor. The dessert cocktails were yummy and the creme brulee was fabulous. All in all, 5 stars. Can't wait to return. read more

I don't normally dish out five stars but Eden just has something special about it. The decor is instantly welcoming and relaxing. Almost zen like. The service is upscale but by the time the evening was over I felt like friends to our server Amy and her husband Chris who manned the bar. And the food. Most places I quickly zero in on the one or two items which appeal to my taste of the evening. I actually had a hard time with the menu at Eden as there were any number of things I know would have been wonderful. In the end my wife's choice their signature Mac and cheese and mine of venison were perfect. The Mac included chicken wonderfully prepared sous vide and Gorgonzola cheese. read more

My first time ever at Eden was a treat. The interior is a romantic collection of tables and charming booths with gauzy curtains. We went with friends who made a reservation for outdoor seating on the balcony. No view to speak of abut the ocean breeze was perfect. The table was barely a four top and was crowded on top of another table. One of my friends was practically in the lap of a guest seated at the next table. That being said, we were fairly comfortable and the food was worth the cramped seating! For starters we had a cheese board and chose five of seven selections. Standard choices for upscale restaurants. The portions were barely an ounce and the four of us politely nibbled at the small blots on the board, served with flatbreads, walnuts, truffle honey, and a strawberry. During the salad course, we had a nice mixed green salad with a goat cheese fritter (fancy-gay-restaurant-speak for fried cheese). I also had a lamb chop with mint julep sauce and strawberries. This was excellent. The chop was a bit too rare but extremely tender and well seasoned. Who knew lamb paired o well with strawberries? Yum! The mains were definitely the stars of the meal. We each got something different but I tasted them all. I got the pan seared rockfish with tomato broth. I was promised crispy skin and a tomato saffron broth. Unfortunately, broth was too much like tomato soup with no trace of saffron and the skin was not crispy. However the lobster risotto was a delightful accompaniment and saved the overall aspect of the dish. I also sampled a nice macaroni and cheese with chicken and sun dried tomatoes. A nicely done adult version of the comfort food favorite. Steve got a huge veal porterhouse that was delicious. I didn't try the mustard sauce since I'm allergic but he really enjoyed it. I tasted a nice dry aged NY strip that was perfect too. Eden is expensive and the portions are a bit small but the execution is on the mark. Compared to similar upscale Rehoboth restaurants, it's a definite stand out! I would go to again but I think I'd like to sit at one of the romantic booths inside. This place is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner date. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here last weekend and it was really great. The ambiance is perfect, low lighting, draping curtains, beautiful decor. The service was impeccable. Our waiter (I forget his name dangit) was very nice and helpful in giving recommendations. We both had a cocktail to start, I got a bourbon drink called a 'Hey Mikey' and it was really delicious! Not typically a bourbon drinker but man was it good. For appetizers we had the watermelon and roasted corn salad, also very good. Entree's my husband had the skirt steak which he raved about the entire dinner. He said it was the best cooked skirt steak he had every eaten. Charred and seasoned perfectly on the outside and still pink in the middle. I got the scallops which were served with a coconut risotto and green curry that was to die for. Scallops could have been seared a bit better but overall great flavor. For dessert we had a type of chocolate ganache cake that was encrusted with oreo crumbles. Whipped cream on top. So. good. We did come during Rehoboth's restaurant week, so Im not sure if all of these items are available all of the time. But my recommendation is go. No matter what you get, Im sure your taste buds will thank you! read more

We've eaten at Eden a couple of times before outside, but this time we were upstairs. The table next to us had a large bachelorette party, and they were so loud we had to shout to hear ourselves. This is something the staff should have taken care of. The servers were great other than this. As for the food, well that's why we were so disappointed. My oven-roasted filet mignon was very dry, under seasoned and came with chewy, burned green beans and a bland potato croquette. Oh dear! My friend's scallops were nicely seared/cooked, but the rice was crunchy, and the other veg on the plate unappetizing. Considering how expensive this place is they should be able to cook simple things properly. Pull your socks up Eden, because you have a lot of strong competition in the area! I'm left trying to decide if it's worth giving you another chance. read more

My kind of restaurant! Loved it! Couldn't decide if we should dine outside on a perfect summer night or dine inside in the romantic booth...hubby's Bday so he picked inside. Wednesday night is the $35 pre fix menu. Such a deal! We enjoyed everything...creative sides that you don't see at other restaurants! I especially enjoyed the 1/2 bottle of wine selection! Service was right on. I would make this my go to restaurant if it were in my hood! Just one little tiny complaint...when I made my reservation I specifically mentioned it was my hubby's birthday...I thought maybe a candle on the desert he ordered??? Hmmm...nothing.
