Pizza from this part of the country, my home, is the best around. Better than New York stle and Chicago style. On that note whenever I come.home to visit I try to get to Edie's at least twice. The food is good. The pizza is outstanding and I have not had any problems with the staff. Everyone is nice. We placed an order for takeout. One of the items was a Tuna Salad. When the order was opened at home, there was no Tuna. I called Edies and was told that I could drive back there to have Tuna added to the salad, or drive back there return the salad, and get a new one. I told the manager to just refund the money for the salad to the credit card. I was the told they would refund the money if I brought the salad back. All solutions offered by the manager of Edies involved me driving back across town. This is the worst service in the village. There are many good places in the village, I advise you take your business elsewhere. read more

We usually love Edies but tonight was a disappointment. We stood at the counter for a good 15 minutes with no service. The one girl had a nice long personal conversation with someone at the take out counter. Seeing the only way to get attention was to call so I pulled out my cell at the counter to call my order in. This place has amazing pizza! Went here for dinner on a whim and deff will be back. I was starving and the place was pretty busy so I was worried about how long it would take. We ordered a small pizza and a whole sub. It took maybe 15 mins at most while dining in. The sub was pretty good, they toasted it just enough and the meat (turkey and bacon) were very good. The crust of the pizza was thick but crunchy and the sauce was just sweet enough. Both the whole sub and small pizza was to much for the people but the total only came to $20 read more

I've never personally been to the restaurant as it's 283 miles from my house so I can't comment on the place itself or the staff which seems to be most of the complaints I have read about the place. I can attest to the fact that my wife has family in the area and every time someone comes back this way we place an order and I have to pay for a tank of gas for the convenience (aka delivery) fee to bring back a sheet from them. I'm not a pizza person and I have two rule's if I eat pizza. First is that it has to have a higher topping to bread/cheese ratio and it has to be fresh (within an hour of coming out of the oven but will eat it cold later in the same day) otherwise I will not eat it. The pizza we get does not match either criteria with the 4-6 hours (depending on whose driving) that it takes to receive it and it's usually just a pepperoni sheet. With that being said, it's good enough that I will eat it for two days after which as big as the sheet is we normally still have to give part of the pizza to the neighbors when we get it or the day after. Compared to similar style pizza's here in Morgantown, WV, their sheet pizza is worth the money. As good as it is hours later I would love to try a fresh one sometime. read more

Edie's is pretty well known in the Burg, but if you haven't heard of it, go venture out and try it. Their restaurant is really nice. Despite growing up down the street from Edie's, it was one of those restaurants I never visited. It wasn't my pizzeria; I was a Nino's aficionado through and through. But since my recent return to Buffalo, I have been convinced of Edie's superiority. It's the typical Buffalo pizzeria -- complete with subs, wings, tacos, fries, salads, etc. -- and all of it's tasty. How's the pizza? I ordered a standard large cheese & pepperoni last week on their pizza special night (under $12), and I was VERY impressed; it was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Perfectly topped and sauced. I'm not a huge fan of the cheese they use but I'm picky and it's above average. The subs and other items are well-prepared and they generally use fresh ingredients, and they're open later (I think) than any other pizzeria in Hamburg. Plus one of the managers played hockey with Pat Kaleta from the Sabres so you'll see him in there from time to time with other players. This place is a real racist place we came at 10:20pm they close at 11:00 and we ordered. 5 min after we ordered the waitress told us we can only have pick up. Can't eat inside. Because we are working at fair and my team has 3 black 2 Asian 1 middle eastern and one white guy. If they closed why they took the order. The bill was 80.04. And I asked her if we can't eat inside I wanna cancel the order and she told me she will ask it. Later on a lady come from inside and without even trying to talk with me just put the order and give me cash back without one word. I paid credit and get back cash. I just ordered a chicken finger dinner. The fingers were cold and frozen (some). Only received 10 French fries. The order was missing everything else that it was suppose to have. Very rude service. We get here around 10.15 pm, lady at register looked like she is doing is a favor by taking our order. I thought ok, may be she had a bad day. We paid and took a sit. 5 minutes later she told us "We are closing. You can't stay here, take your order to go" at 10.30 pm. She didn't even apologize! They closed at 11 pm. Just had a fantastic turkey sub, mayo, oil no veggies mmmmm. This place is close by and love going here. I also love when people on here complain about there wings not being crispy, fries soggy and food took to long to receive. Well let me tell you something, As wings and fries sit in the box waiting for your dumb ass to come and pick up they will indeed get soggy and less crisp! NOT ROCKET SCIENCE PEOPLE. Love it when ppl ask for there wings and fries extra crispy, you give them 20 min on the order and they show up ten minutes late, then the five minute ride home before they eat the food. An great place to eat, through and through. I grew up in New York (The real NY, as in the city, queens, and the island). None of Hamburg's seemingly endless pizzarias serve "Real NY Style Pizza" like how Nino's and Jimmy's advertise. Nino's coats their pizza in salt and mozzarella, and Jimmy's is good only for 1-AM eating. Edie's, however, knows what it is, good, WNY pizza through and through. Nice, fresh toppings, coupled with amazing sandwiches and "tacos" make for an all around great service. read more

MULTIPLE times I have ordered for delivery - I've called an hour later and they said "our drivers are out, you should get your order shortly". The owner falsely accuses customers like myself of negative statements. When I complained to the owner about the bad food and service, the owner stated that I said derogatory statements to his employees in an email. When I reviewed the email with the owner and proved to him that those statements were false because he misread the email, the owner said that he will not serve me anymore even after he accused me of those false statements which defamed me in front of other customers. read more
