I'm from the east coast but have had fried rice in different states. I've never seen white long grain fried rice and it was mushy!

My friends and I went to Eest Asian Bistro for dinner a couple weeks ago while craving Chinese food. While the experience was mainly positive, the food fell short in some areas. Pros: The portions are massive and could easily be shared family style. One entree feeds 2-3 people, especially if you get rice or noodles on the side. The fried rice was our favorite dish. I know that sounds basic, but hear me out; the rest of this review somewhat explains this. Our second favorite dish was the egg drop soup - also very good. Cons: The combos come with steamed rice. If you want to upgrade to fried rice it's an additional charge. This is on top of the additional charge you're already paying to make it a combo. So now you've got a $20 entree. Most of the entrees we tried were lackluster in their appearance and taste. The Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce was a different take on shredded pork than I was expecting. It was actually strips of pork. And there weren't many pieces, it was mainly veggies. The Szechuan Beef tasted good but was too heavily battered. Most of the beef chunks were all batter, barely any meat. The Vegetable Chow Mein was alright, but we all agreed was too heavily sauced so became soggy. In summary - great portions, good service, okay prices, okay food.

Chicken Lettuce Wrap, fried rice, house Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork, Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken and fried rice

Since I've moved to GOODYEAR, this is the BEST ASIAN, food I had. Good quality and good taste. I highly recommend this place.

Anyone know the status of Eest Asian Bistro?

New owners purchased from Henry almost 3 years now. I just tried one more time. Ordered our stand by's: combo rice was great. DO NOT order sweet/sour chicken all batter no chicken -very disapointing…

The restaurant is…read morefairly small with only a few tables inside, but in the time that we were there, no one else dined in, all others were taking orders to-go. You order at the counter when you walk in, and they bring food out when it's ready. There were 5 of us so we decided to get the family meal deal plus some extras. Items ordered from the meal deal were - Teriyaki Chicken, Orange Chicken, Shrimp Broccoli (up charge), Macaroni Salad, & Vegetable Lo Mein (up charge). Other items we got were - Crab Rangoons, Spring Rolls, Spam Fried Rice, and Katsu Chicken. For drinks, we had ordered the Blueberry Smoothie and a couple of Thai Teas. Needless to say, we had a ton of food! The items we enjoyed most were the Teriyaki Chicken which came atop a bed of cabbage and broccoli, Fried Rice (although, I'd probably get it with a different protein, spam wasn't my personal choice but it was good), the Shrimp Broccoli, as well as the Spring Rolls & Crab Rangoons. The two dishes that had vegetables were my favorites since the chicken & shrimp were cooked well and the vegetables were done well, crunchy and satisfying. The appetizers were fried nicely, crispy. The smoothie and Thai Tea were good. The Orange Chicken wasn't bad but had more breading than I prefer and also the sauce all pooled to the bottom, it just needed to have been tossed a little more. Macaroni Salad was as expected but nothing special, same with the Chicken Katsu but the sauce was pretty good. The Vegetable Lo Mein is probably the only dish I'd say to skip altogether; overall, bland compared to the other items. If you're in the area, check them out. They were very friendly and efficient in getting everything out to us quickly!

The service was quick and friendly. I ordered Miso Soup ($2.00), which was warm and served as a nice palette cleanser. Baked Mussels ($8.25), loaded with spicy mayo, masago, green onions, and eel sauce. Probably my favorite dish of the night. Vegas Roll ($10.25) is your typical deep fried roll. My partner ordered the Rock n Roll Baked roll ($12.95). We did have to ask for soy sauce and wasabi, as those were not provided. Overall, the food was delicious, I would revisit and recommend.

The restaurant wasn't that busy for the lunch rush, and the waitress was very attentive and helpful. The only downsides I experienced was that there was no hot water running in the bathroom that I could tell, and no paper towels were available to dry my hands or open the bathroom door with. I also had a small fly hovering around me while I ate (I was inside). Thinking about this experience a little deeper however (after the bill) changed things for me a bit. Was the food okay? Yes, I think... Was it noteworthy? Not really. The stacks of premade rolls sitting on the counter made me think twice about ever eating here again. I paid around $45 for lunch after tax and tip. I ordered 6 pieces of nigiri, a tempura roll, a small bowl of miso soup, and an iced tea. I don't consider this anything crazy or over the top. Given this price point I expect hot water and paper towels in the bathrooms, especially if employees who are handling our food use those facilities. 1-star, won't be back... oh, and the soy sauce bottle was literally stuck to the counter. I had to pry it off.

Sometimes a simple appetizer can set the tone for the entire meal, and these definitely did not disappoint. The egg rolls arrived hot and freshly cooked with a beautiful golden brown color. They had the perfect crispy exterior that gave a satisfying crunch with every bite, while the filling inside was warm, savory, and packed with flavor. The combination of seasoned vegetables and meat was well balanced, with each ingredient complementing the others without being overwhelming. I especially enjoyed that the filling tasted fresh rather than greasy. The wrapper stayed crisp throughout the meal, and every bite had a nice contrast between the crunchy shell and the tender filling. Paired with the sweet and sour dipping sauce, the flavors came together perfectly and made the appetizer even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself had a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. My order arrived quickly, and everything was served fresh from the kitchen, which made the experience even better. Although egg rolls are a common menu item at many Chinese restaurants, Wong's Chinese Cuisine prepared them exceptionally well. The generous portion, quality ingredients, and excellent texture made them stand out from many others I have tried. Overall, I had a great experience enjoying the egg rolls at Wong's Chinese Cuisine. They were crispy, flavorful, freshly made, and the perfect way to begin a meal. I would gladly order them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious appetizer while dining at the restaurant. Gus Woltmann

From an Asian food perspective, I'd give it a 2/5 -- otherwise maybe closer to a 3/5 overall. Service was average, and the overall atmosphere felt more Hispanic-inspired than Japanese fusion. The mango margarita was actually great though -- definitely my favorite part of the experience. As for the food, nothing really stood out. The edamame was overly cooked and mushy. The chicken and shrimp fried rice was disappointing because the chicken tasted hard and chewy, almost feels like leftover chicken reheated. The calamari was okay, very bland, nothing special. The bathroom could also use some work, especially if the restaurant is aiming for a slightly more upscale environment. Overall, if you're coming for the fusion vibe and drinks, you may enjoy it. Although, I'd still probably go to another fusion restaurant with better quality food and better options. I personally wouldn't return, especially considering the price and food quality.
