I've had great food every time I've ordered from Eggbred (the Benny on the rocks and truffle crunch burger are personal favorites). Easily walkable from East Village Arts District, they're a good choice for your breakfast/brunch cravings. Ask for Devon when you visit! He was passing out samples of the beer battered potatoes and scrambled eggs one morning while I was walking my dog nearby. Excellent, friendly service! Only docking one star because one time I came, the fire hydrant and some extra tables/chairs were piled up in one corner by the window - which seems like not the best way to keep this equipment. It's since been fixed, but thought it worthy of mention.

We came in for the grand re-opening under new ownership! The owner was friendly and greeted folks at the door. Interior has cute egg themed decor and a good amount of tables for seating (indoor and outdoor) We got the scramble me softly, which was soft scrambled eggs, cheese, caramelized onions on a toasted Japanese milk bun. The eggs were so soft, fluffy, well salted, and perfectly cooked! The milk bun was nicely buttered and toasted, and surprisingly kept its crunch despite the soft scrambled egg. The caramelized onions added a nice sweetness and umami. Overall a yummy fluffy breakfast sandwich! Lots of other things on their menu, will have to come back another time to try things out!

This was my second time here at Eggbred. The first time I came I got thru breakfast bacon burrito and it was AMAZING! my husband and I were excited to come back and decided to ride our bikes since last time we had to park in a loading area. My husband got what he ordered before which was the fried chicken egg sandwich. He had no complaints-same as previously ordered. I decided to get their sausage breakfast burrito to try something new, my tortilla was cold with no brown markings like they show on their IG videos. Not sure if that was something I had to ask for while ordering but since I never asked for it on my bacon burrito i expected the same. Another thing is my bacon burrito you would taste the bacon in every bite. My burrito today was mostly egg and cheese and potato's. I had to dig for the sausage. The guy at the front was amazing though- I regret not getting his name to give him the praise he deserves. I did leave a tip but idk just so disappointed in my second visit when our first visit was exceptional

Came here for the second time today and got the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and the truffle crunch burger. We also got the beer battered potatoes, which for me personally were the star of the show, but the truffle crunch burger was very good too. For being as busy as it was today, I feel like we still got served pretty quickly. The restaurant itself is very cute and egg themed. The only gripe I have about EggBred is the parking situation, but that's kind of outside their control. The food is good enough to drive around a little to find a spot. Overall, I'm really happy my boyfriend came up with the idea to go to EggBred today!!!

Went in on a Wednesday Morning-ish. Was greated by a nice young lady. She took our order and answered our questions. Place was clean when we arrived. Ordered the BEC sandwich. Had the egg cooked hard. They cook it freash so you need to wait a bit. Lots of bacon on the sandwich, YUMM! I enjoyed the sandwich. Parking was a bit hard as there is no signage for a garage that is on site. I parked in the neigherhood.

Finally gave this place a try, I love a good breakfast spot! Parking is challenge here. It is completely street parking, which is expected for downtown Long Beach, but it is still inconvenient. On a Saturday during the day, parking is competitive and you might need to circle the block a few times before finding a spot. This probably explains why a lot of people seem to pick up their orders and leave quickly rather than dine in. If you are planning to visit during peak hours, just be prepared to spend a little extra time searching for parking. The inside of the restaurant looks completely brand new, which is always a nice first impression, but the atmosphere didn't feel particularly warm or welcoming. Everything was clean and organized, and the space has a modern look, but it still felt a bit empty and not very inviting. For a quick service spot, a clean lobby is usually all you really need, but a little energy or friendliness in the environment can make a big difference, and that was missing here. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted right away. Normally I do not mind waiting, especially if staff members are clearly busy helping other customers, but the situation felt a little awkward. A couple of employees looked at me but didn't acknowledge me, so I wasn't sure if I should wait, walk up to the counter, or help myself to a menu. After a minute or so, the employee who had been on the phone finished the call and greeted me, and she was pleasant, but the initial moment definitely felt uncomfortable. For my meal, I ordered the Bacon Egg and Cheese. It comes with applewood smoked bacon, a fresh cracked over medium egg, sharp cheddar, smoked jalapeno ketchup, and a toasted milk bun. I asked for no jalapeno ketchup, but it ended up being on the sandwich anyway. Thankfully the jalapeno flavor was not too strong, so it did not overpower the sandwich or ruin the experience. The bacon was cooked perfectly with that ideal crispiness that still has a little bite rather than being too crunchy. The egg was cooked in a way that I really enjoyed, not fully fried but slightly runny in a rich and creamy way that blended perfectly with the cheese. The milk bun tied everything together with a soft texture that held up well without getting soggy. I also ordered the Beer Battered Potatoes, which might honestly be my favorite item on the entire menu. They are spiral cut, beer battered, fried until they have a crisp golden exterior, and seasoned with the restaurant's house blend. They have that perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and soft potato on the inside, and they are flavorful enough to eat on their own. They also offer them plain if you prefer something more simple. I could easily come back just for these. Overall, the food was solid and in some cases really impressive, especially the potatoes. The service was polite once it started, though the initial greeting felt off. The environment is clean and new, but it could use a warmer, more inviting feel. Parking is definitely something to keep in mind. I would return for the food, especially if I am already in the area, but there are a few small improvements that could make the overall experience much better.

I came this morning to try to get a quick meal before doing a beach clean up for earth day. It was not a quick stop. I waited 45Mins+ for my food. There was only one person in front of me and I got my food before them. While waiting there were others so came after and while walking out made a comment of how long I waited and that this is their 2nd time coming and the wait has always been long so it seems like a common occurrence. I got the ribeye asada. Asked for the burrito to be cut in half, they did not. Asked for two salsas, got one. The burrito itself was tasty though. I also got a biscuit and gravy also but did not like it. Biscuit was hard/dry. The gravy also didn't have sausage gravy flavor. It was more orange and didn't not have much flavor which was needed to help with the dry biscuit. However the customer service was great. Devon helped give some recommendations and was very friendly. He had left to hand out samples. This however left the counter unattended as others came in. It took awhile for someone in the back to come out to greet customers.

This is a great place to stop by for breakfast or lunch after you run or work out at the beach. It is only a few steps away. You can go for a walk and run then come have some food. There is plenty of seating indoor/outdoor. Or you can take it with you to the beach and have a view. The service was great. Friendly and helpful. My favorite of what I tried was the Breakfast Burrito. i got the Ribeye burrito and it was not disappointed. I tried both salsas green/red and I preferred the red. I want to come back for Lunch. Their lunch looks pretty tasty. My least favorite was the Avocado Toast. I would not get that again. Overall everything was good. You cant go wrong with a Sandwich or a Burrito.

We arrived 41 minutes before closing and were told they were closing in 30 minutes. When I questioned that, we were told it was takeout only and were not allowed to sit inside. At 1:46, they closed and locked the front doors while we sat on the ground outside finishing our food. It was very clear we weren't welcome and that the staff wanted to go home early. The food was fine, but the service and attitude ruined the experience. I wouldn't go back. Don't recommend. Close your shop down if you don't want to serve patrons for business.

Normally GREAT GREAT! THIS TIIME A DISASTER! I placed and paid for my order via and online app offered through their website. It said it would be ready by 12:16pm. First Attempt I was told 5 min. I gave them 15. When I went back I was told 20 min. I'm back AGAIN, now I'm told it's coming up! I ordered 1 thing! Forget ambience people are upset due to waiting so long 57 MIN LATER . I was given the wrong order. Took it back, now it's good. The staff was tense, didn't communicate well and once continued to complain to customers about his coworkers. NO TEAMWORK YIKES. I live across the street however, will steer clear for awhile.... Food wasn't was good as it used to be either.....

I had been waiting for this spot to open and finally had the time to stop in and visit. Super great experience! Lots to choose from in the menu. I can in a Sunday Toronto was busy, but they make everything to order and it didn't take too long for my food. I got their Soft Scramble Breakfast sandwich and the biscuits and gravy. Both super tasty and filling. I also tried the Chili con carne potatoes which were good. The items were a good size and definitely shareable. Definitely going back again. read more

So I waited till they opened and there was a line waiting to arrive for their food. And I see why, this burrito was so amazing, my grandkids can taste it and I'm not even a grandma . The lady was sooooo kind and attractive with such a great positive attitude.. she made my morning. She even asked to cut my burritos.. which I thought cut down the middle and wrap but no.. she had them individually wrapped and cut which was genius . I was able to share the halves. I've lived in Long Beach for 5 years and frequently passed this establishment but had no idea what it was. It wasn't until I recently saw an IG reel showcasing their delicious menu that intrigued my taste buds. This is hands down the best place for breakfast burritos. But NOT ONLY THAT, their sandwiches are amazing as well. My personal go to's are: -The Ribeye California-- amazing cut of Asada, crispy papas, delicious and flavorful eggs + a great amount of avocado and cheese. -The Country Fried Chicken Sandwich-- crispy fried and flavorful chicken, all the fixings + the yummy country sausage gravy. My Son absolutely loves their kids meals-- highlighting the beer batted potatoes as his favorite. Sauces are my thing. The Paprika Spread is close to heaven on earth. Their avocado crema and salsa verde are also amazing as well. (I use every one for every bite hahaha) The price is absolutely worth it, the staff are the most welcoming and friendly while also remaining efficient and helpful. The restaurant is always clean and inviting as well. My go to breakfast place! read more

Surprisingly elevated breakfast fanfare for a "quick service" establishment, reasonably priced with great depth of flavor. Eggs in the sandwich were perfectly gooey without becoming too liquidy and messy which I appreciate. Potatoes were spectacularly crunchy but wasn't picking up too much benny flavors but nonetheless some of the best breakfast potatoes out there. Service is a tad slow, came a couple hours before closing and with hardly anybody in front of me had to wait a hot minute but I will say food does taste fresh just don't consider it to be quick. Will also say please was very clean seen workers constantly cleaning and interacting with guests and us which is super pleasant. Will be coming back when we I'm hankering for those potatoes read more

DoorDash delivery so can't say anything for service nor ambiance... This meal was disappointing enough to write about. I ordered a side sausage patty, side bacon, beer-battered fries, and the country-fried chicken sandwich. My dasher wrote to let me know the meal was delayed, which was alright. My food arrived maybe 30-40 min after the initial order was placed. That would have been fine, if the food were good. The sausage was ok but super salty. The fries tasted old and reheated but also tasted like the fries would be good if fresh. The bacon was like a log of salt. Now the sandwich... Tasted old and reheated. So salty that, after I picked off two bites with my fingers, my fingers completely smelled like salt. The sandwich didn't look like the pictures in terms of brightness and crisp. Perhaps the kinks are being worked out but I won't be giving a second go. read more

Had a chance to dine this last weekend. It was busy, which was a good sign. Ordered the build a Benny with ham, chorizo chili cheese hash, and the berry cheesecake waffles. The food was amazing! We also ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with waffles as the bun, of course we forgot to take a picture, but it was delicious! All the food had good flavor, and good portion sizes had enough to take home for lunch. They had nice seating indoor and out, well kept. And it's a plus that's it's right by the beach... So far I've tried three items from here (the Smothered Yard Pimp burrito, Scramble Me Softly sandwich, & the cheesecake & berry waffles). It was all very tasty and I plan on going back. In terms of service, it's pretty standard for a casual non-sit down restaurant, in that other than ordering there is not much interaction with the staff. As many breakfast places in Long Beach are more geared towards longer brunch-type meals, it's nice to have a faster option that still provides good food. The price is a littler higher than I'd typically pay for breakfast, but then again it's tastier than I'd get for my usual price range. So while I may not eat here every day, it's a nice treat to look forward to. read more

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating because I was excited to try it, but I won't be returning. The food was actually pretty good. I had the cheeseburger chopped cheese sandwich, and it was tasty. However, the service and cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. After receiving our order with about an hour till the restaurant closed, we sat down to eat and were informed that we needed to leave because they were "closing in 30 minutes," which was a lie. The female employee seemed irritated with having to be there, and in my opinion, just wanted us to leave to close early. The restaurant was also fairly dirty. Couldn't recommend after this experience. read more

First off, they're dog friendly with outdoor tables so we stopped in during our dog walk. Would the food be as good as the hype? YES! I had the plain Jane burrito as I was looking for a breakfast item under $10 and it was a vegetarian option. It did not disappoint. It was a hearty burrito of eggs and potatoes. Good enough for two. Burritos with meat were between $14 and $16 each. It's an order at the counter and pick up kind of place, which I am OK with. read more

Terrible service!!! As soon as I walked in, it felt like a sauna! Where is the A/c? I don't know how those poor employees manage to work there. I woulda done had a heat stroke already. ALSO, there was huge line of people and there was literally only one cashier!! She did the best but I decided to take my business elsewhere anyway, because I don't eat food in saunas!!!! Im not a pro, but anyone can tell that this establishment lacks proper management ‍one cashier during a rush is insane!! read more

First time here and unfortunately not a good one. Took forever to get my food. By the time I got it, the food was cold because it was just sitting in the counter. The device they gave me never started vibrating, and they never called out my number. I started to wonder why people who came in after me were getting their food so I went up and asked and that's when I found out it was sitting there the whole time. Didn't even get to try the food, I ended up asking for a refund and leaving. Terrible customer service. I can't tell you how many times they looked over at me just sitting there. I could tell by the look in one of the girls eyes she was wondering why I was just sitting there. Since there were only 4 customers on the store, you figure that wouldn't be that hard to keep track of who got their food and who didn't. Especially when I sitting at the table right in front of the counter. read more

Their food is good which is why i keep coming back but they NEVER get your order right. If i paid extra for avocado why is there no avocado.. if i ordered chorizo why am i getting sausage.. this happens EVERY single time. Idk if their cooks just dont give a f*ck or lack attention to detail but it is incredibly annoying. read more

Kitchen was gross. 37$ for a burrito and poutine fries. Dining room was a mess. Crowded and mismanaged. Parking was in front of a city paid hotel for unhoused. Police were out in front twice. Good wasn't something you couldn't make by cooking at home. Really disappointed. read more

Waited to be acknowledged, waited to have my order taken... it's a Sunday early afternoon of course it's busy. Ended up walking out empty handed because the young lady at the counter let me know it's a 30-35 min wait for any food which is kinda crazy?? I know there's a crazy high demand on food delivery apps but there has to be a better way to serve your in person guests and your online guests... and essentially turning down your in person guests hopefully isn't the way. read more

I hardly go through Long Beach but saw how busy this place looked during lunch time over the weekend. I saw an open street parking spot a block away and snatched it immediately to see how good this place was. Line moved fairly quick to order a ribeye steak and egg sandwich with blood orange juice. Plenty of clean seating area to eat inside and the food did not disappoint. Ribeye steak was tender and the fried egg just made it better. The juice was freshly squeezed, my favorite, all around tasty meal for the cost! I would definitely stop by here again when I roll through Long Beach! read more

My first time checking out this joint and I was very disappointed with the food and staff. Folks were standing around on their phones and some were wearing earbuds. There was no manager on site and this place is definitely missing something. Not returning anytime soon. Prices were very high and bad service. The coffee was cold and nasty. There was one male kid felt like he was trying out for America Next Top Model and cared more about his hair. This place really needs adult supervision. One of the employees walk out after her shift and started screaming from the top of lungs. I had the burrito and tossed most it away. This place has potential with the right staff and management. Hello everyone. Let's begin with another food assessment along with its ambiance. Here we go. We order two sausage and egg burritos. These two burritos were almost $10.00. The burrito tasted good but not great. I have to say that there was more potato's than egg in the burrito which was very disappointing! The establishment should renamed itself to PotatoBred instead of EggBred. If you want avocado added to your burrito, that's an extra $2.50...Ouch!!! The service was quick and the cashier was friendly. The ambiance of the dining was clean but I have to give a failing grade to the gender neutral bathroom. There appears to be mold on the lower walls and the mirror was heavily water stained. Not good!!! This restaurant is a one and done. I came here due to YouTube influences. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience. I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

Side of bacon $6 for two measly pieces - overcooked and too crunchy. I could tell the bacon would have been good if it was more on the meaty/chewy side. This came with a potato pancake which was like mashed potatoes mixed with cheese and then fried. Service was okay, I think because it was pretty busy. They may need more staff to help the servers with drink refills and to check in more frequently. Lastly, our table was very wobbly and we had to fix it with sugar packets otherwise our drinks would have toppled.

Probably one of the best smelling restrooms I had ever. When I was leaving, I politely ask the hostess if she knew what the name of the smell was bc it was so awesome. She wasn't telling me the exact name. She essentially told me the essence. While in the middle of her talking, a female manager aggressively told us that they were not aloud to tell patrons the scent. Hey, I get it, but as a person who was a manager for one of the highest ranking upscale casual dining restaurants, who has worked in 5 star resorts, knowing how to provide kindness to both guests and staff, this manager did not present those skills. This manager was quite frankly disrespectful not only to her staff, but to me. There is a way to handle situations without embarrassing your staff member and making them feel small and showcasing your flex of power to a diner who was about to drop hundreds for a dinner in our volatile economy. This manager did NOT handle this appropriately. Like i said, she was rude, extremely aggressive to respond, and not once smiled and said, "I'm so glad you love it. It's our secret to get you to come back." She did try to say it was a secret, but seriously... with the way she treated her staff.... I think she better focus on hospitality rather than the scent in the bathroom. After this interaction, I actually watched and observed the manager during the remaining time of our dinner. I wanted to see how she interacted with her staff. I wanted to see if she knew how to manage without flexing on her staff bc obviously she doesn't know that words matter and what you say and how you say it can make or break your staff's entire night which can reflect on how they treat their guests. I get this is lengthy over a restroom scent, but as a person who thrives on seeing the beauty in how a management team can make a huge impact on the success of a company, if she's openly rude and aggressive to me and her hostess, how is she with the rest of the staff and guests? Just a little food for thought. I will say, that interaction totally changed my view for the remaining time of our dinner. I truly hope that the female manager who was working last night June 1 reads this and changes the way she handles situations. From what I saw and experienced, she needs to take a step back and regroup. She needs to be retrained on how to treat her staff, how to smile with kindness, and how to kindly make a joke about the scent kindly with laughter rather than an attack on her staff. To the hostess: I'm sorry you had to be treated that way. You were incredibly kind from upon greeting us even to the very end. You're awesome. I'll return back, but I do hope next time, the manager from last night is on a better wave length as the people who help create her position. There are a lot of great managers out there willing to take that place.

The crust strikes a rare balance - it has that signature leopard-spotted char and slight floppiness you'd expect from a Neapolitan-style pizza, but also delivers the chewiness and airy structure of a great New York-style slice. It never tips too far into being overly crispy or dry. What really sets it apart, though, is the sauce. While many pizzerias treat sauce as an afterthought, Thunderbolt clearly does not. Their tomato sauce is rich, vibrant, and juicy, with a depth of flavor that avoids being overly acidic, salty, or tannic. It enhances the pizza beautifully without overshadowing the dough, which is exactly how it should be. Garlic Knots - 5/5. - Easily some of the best I've had anywhere in LA. These are essentially bread rolls with a super chewy interior and a thin, lightly crusty exterior, served alongside their excellent marinara sauce. They're incredibly satisfying and consistently a crowd favorite. I've brought visitors from Japan, Germany, and New York, and every single one of them couldn't stop talking about these knots. My only small critique is that I wish they had used fresh garlic instead of canned, which would have taken them to an even higher level. Still, even as they are, they're outstanding. Overall, Thunderbolt Pizza delivers thoughtful, high-quality food that stands out in a crowded pizza scene. It's the kind of place you keep coming back to--not just because it's good, but because it's consistently memorable.

Next for the sleeper. Order the pizza: I'm not sure if there is more than one style (I wasn't the one that order it), but the one that we got is totally counter intuitive. When it arrived, I thought, "That's not pizza." It has nothing to do with deep dish pizza. But has everything to do with the deepest dish. So this two inch high beauty is a taste to behold. The hostess came outside, handed us menus, explained the ordering process, you place your order before being seated and even offered us the opportunity to sample some of their Italian wines, which was a really nice touch. We ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and the Ribeye Tagliata, which came with a fresh arugula salad. Every single dish was outstanding Full of flavor and beautifully prepared. We honestly enjoyed every bite. Between the incredible food, friendly service, and charming atmosphere, this was such a wonderful dining experience. The eggs were cooked well, and everything came together nicely in the sandwich. I also tried the scrambled egg sandwich, and I would recommend that as well. Both sandwiches are worth ordering if you are looking for something simple but flavorful. I did get the potato wedges on the side, but they were not really for me. The flavor just did not hit the mark, and I would probably skip those next time. Overall, EggBred does a great job with their egg sandwiches. We ordered the Country Fried Chicken sandwich, Ribeye Burrito, and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, and as a self proclaimed foodie I can honestly say that each dish was super flavorful and cooked to perfection! The customer service was excellent as well; the staff was friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. I'm also a huge coffee drinker, and I was pleasantly surprised by their drip coffee.
