Service is fast, but I almost walked away with a medium sauce sandwich that was ordered as sweet and tangy sauce (I ordered a total of 4 sandwiches all bodega but slightly different). I'm glad I checked before I left. Turns out the medium sauce is less spicy than Taco Bell mild sauce and lighter in spices. However, I was really craving an egg sandwich and this really hit the spot. The bread and egg is soft,bacon was crisp but still has bite, hash brown still has a slight crisp even though it's in between a saucy and creamy avocado bite. Not too salty. The coffee was ordered to be sweetened but was very very lightly sweet. If you've trained yourself away from sugar you can taste it. It was okay though. I came for the sandwich anyways. If you're seeking a breakfast sandwich look no further. I tried the bodega sandwich, basically egg, cheese, bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauce they add is tasty, too! I felt like I wanted a bit more from the bread, but it was still good. I ordered online and was able to pickup in about 10 minutes. Setting is in a food truck park with plenty of outdoor seating and a good amount of parking. It seems to be well taken care of. Overall recommend going if you're nearby and wanting a breakfasty sandwich! read more

I never write negative reviews but my sandwich at eggman was unacceptable. They brought my order within minutes but the eggs were cold and the bun stale...I added avocado and they put on the slightest smear of guacamole (?). The bun looked like it had herbs on top but everything about this sandwich was flavorless. I returned the sandwich. They offered to make me another but I declined. read more

NYC breakfast sandwiches in Austin, with food trucks at Barton Springs Rd and Mueller. Their NY style kaiser rolls are made exclusively for them and they have a range of house-made sauces from mild to spicy. There's free parking onsite too which is clutch. Rating: 3.9/5 [Postmates delivery] Eggman was running a BOGO deal on Postmates, so it felt like the perfect time to try their breakfast sandwiches, with the upcharge being about $1. Each sandwich combo comes with a small portion of crispy, seasoned golden home fries on the side, but we were missing one order. For the sandwiches, I wasn't a fan of the roll they use or how it's prepared. It was a bit dry and floury. The Big Mess ($15.48) + Hash Brown Patty ($1.98): We got the medium Eggman sauce, which is spicy, sweet, and has a little kick, and no cheese. I wouldn't recommend adding the hash brown patty inside since it was soggy, crumbly, and made the sandwich messy to eat. Without cheese, the sandwich was on the drier side. The bacon was a bit hard, though it probably would have tasted better fresh. The Basic ($9.74) + Make it "The Weird Way" (Original, Medium, and Ranch sauces) ($1.89): The Weird Way made this sandwich very saucy and flavorful. Without it, the sandwich would have been plain and not worth it. Golden Home Fries: These potato cubes were just okay. They were under-seasoned and too starchy to eat on their own, so they definitely need a sauce. read more

I was taken back 15 years - felt like I was waiting at a midtown food cart, suited up, blackberry in my pocket buzzing - my boss wondering where the hell I am, and a BBM from last night's OK Cupid date telling me she just wants to be friends, but excited for my breakfast sandwich and coffee... ...but then i snapped out of it, the sound of Luis Miguel songs from the taco truck next door, realizing it was 85 degrees in April, and I'm in flip flops, iphone buzzing in my shorts pocket - my boss wondering where the hell I am, a Facetime from my wife telling me I better not be getting a bacon egg and cheese sandwich because I'm too fat...but now I'm excited for my breakfast sandwich and cold brew I was ready to be disappointed - like why all the fanfare over a cart that makes fried eggs and throws them on a roll. I tried both the Bodega and Queens breakfast sandwiches, and while they were both good in their own way, the Bodega definitely got me more. I recommend getting the medium salsa and I'd go back for it again. Traffic wasn't bad on a Sunday morning and parking was easy. The Queens sandwich had a really delicious sausage that was bomb and made it worth trying too the park/seating park area is covered, making it a perfect spot to sit and enjoy breakfast on beautiful days. read more

The service on the Wednesday morning that I went was terrible. It took over 30 minutes for them to make one sandwich. I knew that it was busy, but it seemed like the order that they were sending them out wasn't fair because some people would go up and get theirs back right away because they sweet talked the cashier. It was such a long wait that I watched someone go up and return the order because they did not want to wait so long. If you're going to go-I'd recommend early in the morning. As for ordering- I knew the "big mess" was the most popular, and I wanted to try it. I don't like bacon, so I asked the cashier for the big mess no bacon (so that I could still get the 3x sauce and 3x cheese for a nice cheese pull) and she said " you could just order the sausage egg and cheese". I said okay even though I was worried that there wouldn't be the cheese pull and extra sauce. I was right and it was just a sausage egg and cheese which was lame because I wanted to order the other one without bacon and the cashier turned me down. I was pretty frustrated (especially after a 30 min wait). The sandwich itself was fine. I got the original sauce which just tasted like ketchup pretty much so to me it wasn't worth the wait for the food. I unfortunately don't like ketchup, so that sauce was a bummer to me. The ambiance outside was fine in the morning because none of the other food trucks were open, but everyone was tense due to the major delays in food. I will not be returning. read more

My husband and I decided to stop at Eggman ATX for some breakfast. We looked at the menu online and my husband placed our order for pickup in advance. We drove up on our E-bike and found a place to sit. I noticed that Eggman ATX is located in a food trailer park along with other food trailers. There was seating spread out around the area. The parking lot was kind of tricky with one way in and out of the area and limited parking but several people managed to park, pickup, and leave while others stayed around to eat. For my breakfast I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. I ordered it with hash browns to be included in the sandwich. It also comes with a sauce of your choice and I chose the original on the side which is listed as sweet and tangy. My husband ordered a home fries bowl for us to share. When I got my sandwich I was a little surprised. It looked liked a hamburger. The menu says the sandwich is on a toasted roll but it seemed like it was on a hamburger bun. Despite that the eggs were good, the bacon was crispy and the cheese was melted. The hash browns were a nice addition to the sandwich for texture. The sauce was what it said sweet and tangy and gave the sandwich flavor. The home fries were very flavorful due to the seasoning on them. They came out hot and some were crispy and some were soft. It was a good mix of potatoes. Overall it was a pretty good breakfast sandwich that was very filling. The ordering process and pickup was easy and the atmosphere outside on a nice day was pleasant. Located in a small food truck area off 1st street, Eggman ATX was a first stop for us to grab some delicious hot, fresh savory breakfast sandwiches while we were in the South Austin downtown area. They made their sauces homemade and is included in your sandwich (original, medium, house hot, and buttermilk ranch). My husband and I both ordered the SEC ( sausage egg and cheese) his with buttermilk ranch and mines with medium sauce. Both were really good but I enjoyed his slightly more because of the savory flavor from the buttermilk ranch. We also tried their hash browns which was solid but would definitely taste better dipped in their sauces. We lucked out and came on a Saturday morning around 9am where there was no line and parking was plenty. It being in January, the weather was brisk cold but they do have a small heat lamp over one of the tables, first come first serve! This is my second time ordering takeout from Eggman and it is simply delicious. The bun is super soft and pillowy. The bacon is thick, eggs cooked perfectly, and cheese nice and melted. So, I wanted a quick breakfast before heading back to Houston and I found this place that was near by where I was staying. I didn't realize it was a food truck until I pulled up but I love food trucks so I was excited already. Parking is limited and there are a few other trucks around as well, tables and chairs and it's per friendly. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and mannnn! It was soooo good. It was like a gourmet McDonalds McMuffin and they make their own sauces which was also really good! If you are in the area I highly recommend trying this place out. We decided to get breakfast here. The parking lot has a good amount of spaces but it gets filled up quickly during prime breakfast hours. They also get lots of food app pickups. I got the BEC with medium sauce, it was amazing. The wait is about 10ish minutes but their team is efficient. The kaiser roll is nice and warm. Came here after a Saturday morning workout class (balance, right?) and was not disappointed. The food was made fast and was done to perfection. I got the TEC (turkey, egg, cheese) with regular Eggman sauce, a hash brown patty, and iced coffee. So what if it's literally freezing outside? Breakfast sandwich a friend recommended while we were in town. It's a food truck, so we were lucky there were seating available and the weather was nice. Parking was scarce but luckily we got a spot. The food came out pretty quick. Our friends who ordered the meatier options took a bit longer, but not too much. We ordered the basic, egg cheese and bacon sandwich with a medium sauce. Absolutely love this spot! First off, I really like the truck park it's located in. Super laid back, fun, and perfect for an afternoon bite. The customer service was top notch, they were friendly, fast, and everything was fresh.We got the Madison Ave and fresh OJ, both hit the spot and were exactly what I needed. It came with a small side of potatoes which was a nice addition. The food truck is located in a cute food truck park with some picnic tables. I got there around 10 am and there was already a short line forming. The longer we stayed, the busier the place got. It did take a bit of time to get our food but I think it was worth the wait to try it out. If you want to avoid the rush, I'd recommend getting there earlier in the morning. Honestly this place was awesome! We were visiting from Atlanta and had heard about it from some locals and decided to give it a try. On a busy Saturday our food was ready in under 5 minutes, the outdoor seating super convenient, and the sandwich was absolutely perfect. One of the Best Spots in Austin! Egg Man is hands down the closest thing to real New York flavor I've found since moving to Austin! As someone from NY, I've been craving that authentic taste--and this place delivered. The food was absolutely amazing, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Was in the mood for a hearty breakfast, and Eggman popped up on Doordash, so I figured why not? I got a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with their special sauce plus a hash brown. The sandwich was good overall, quality of ingredients solid, melted cheese real nice. I couldn't really taste the special sauce that much though, and ended up using some salsa I had to dip it in. The hashbrown was a bit soggy and broke in half (could be because I got it to-go). This may be an unpopular opinion but even though I enjoyed it, I didn't find it special. Good breakfast sandwiches! I tried the turkey egg and cheese and loved the amount of ingredients they put on I thought it was perfect. The sauces were very meh in my opinion but to each their own. The hot sauce just felt very much like chili oil or something that I'd eat with dinner not breakfast. Parking can be tricky so plan ahead for that as well. The service was amazing, this was our first time visiting and they even offered us a free coffee and hash brown. Miguel was amazing and brought out our food and coffees to make the experience even more special. We were also recommend the mess sandwich and it was absolutely delicious!! My coworkers and I wanted some breakfast sandwiches the next morning, so I placed an online order for 8am the next day. When I arrived, the order was bagged up and ready to go with all of the sandwiches labeled as requested. I didn't stick around but there was plenty of parking spots, shade, and picnic tables for people who want to eat their food there. Eggman ATX absolutely nailed our order; every sandwich was correct. They were also DELICIOUS. We were all really happy with our food. My coworkers got a classic bacon/egg/cheese, the big mess, and a bacon/egg/cheese (make it weird). I got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with a side of hot honey and their house made hot sauce. I loved the thickness and cook of the bacon as well as the gooeyness of the cheese. The eggs were also cooked perfectly. The hot sauce was tasty and paired great with the sandwich. We ordered oysters including 4 that were dressed--very fresh, tasty and I'd return for the oyster happy hour which is Monday to Friday from 3pm-5pm (they are a bit pricey) The star of the show was the octopus--I've had octopus across the US and globe and honestly one of the best I have had, so glad we ordered in. It is a little small inside but looks like they had nice outdoor seating too. Very nice way to spend a weekend lunch.
