We were able to get a reservation for breakfast. Service was nice and quick. Food was subpar. The rainbow pancakes tasted like the quick box mix that you add water to but the fruit was nice and fresh. My boyfriend enjoyed the loco moco. The fried rice was not good. I liked the French toast, the whipped cream tasted like banana so that was pleasant surprise. read more

Visiting from out of state and we chose this place because it was open early and conveniently located next to our resort. Food was okay, nothing extraordinary. We have an 8 month baby so it takes a while to feed him and eat. Our waitress was a little rude in the way she made us feel rushed. With a reservation you wait for about 5 min. I loved that they use organic eggs! The hash was no bueno didn't have any flavor, I even ordered it extra crispy. Sausage was good. Toast felt like it has been sitting for a while. The strawberry pancakes we're better than the regular short stack. They felt more light than the regular. The staff is really friendly. Went here for breakfast, it was well worth the 1hr wait. It is very small inside and sits no more than around 50 guests, not a problem though if you don't mind sitting close to others. Located right across the street from a beach you also have a nice view to look out on to. All the food we ordered was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. All of the staff was extremely kind and helpful, even the waiters who weren't assigned to our table. * Price: pretty cheap. $10-$15 per person with large portion. 4 star. * Ambiance: very small, less than a dozen of tables. Probably that is the main reason why they always have a long line. Casual and old school, the decor has been the same since ever. You can come with flip flops and beach clothes. 3 star. * Location: across from the beach. Ocean view. 5 star. * Meals: comfort local food. 4 star. * Seevice: very nice staff tonight.4+ star. This small.restaurant is always having a long line for breakfast and lunch. We walked by it after coming back from the beach and saw no line... so why not. We were surprised for all of the negative and 1/2 reviews. We had garlic shrimp plate $15, fried rice and eggs $12 and french toast for $11.50. Garlic shrimp is pretty good, 1/2 dozen good size shelled shrimp with white rice. The garlic sauce is very mild but not bad! Fried rice and eggs is traditional.local fried rice with soy sauce, eggs, ham and green onion and large fried eggs on top. French toast is pretty good, moist, with 3 choices of syrups (maple, guava or coconut ayrups). You are not going to have resort luxurious services or haute food here. If you are in the mood for local, cheap eat, then check it out...and the view is great as well. read more

Food was ok. A lot of leaves left on strawberries, like they didn't take much time to cut them. Ordered two sides of eggs and only got one. Served never came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything else. Wait was over 1 1/2 hours for a $60 meal for two which honestly wasn't worth it for the service we got and food quality. Not the most recommended spot to eat, I think there are better places in Hawaii with better service! read more

A OK spot to get a quick lunch once you are in. This eatery is located right in the Waikiki Circle Hotel complex and usually you have to wait in line to get in. The way it works is this. You get in line, and as you get towards the front, the host asks you how many are in your party. When you get close to entering, they actually take your order at the host station before you get into the restaurant. Then your party gets in another line to be seated and one member of your party goes to the cashier to pay for the meal before you are seated. You then join your party and are seated at a table. Your food is served shorty. We had the Loco Moco, pancakes, Kalbi and Eggs, and all items were good, not great, but A-OK. Servers were super pleasant and friendly and that made it a nice experience for us. read more

The husband was hungry for some macadamia nut pancakes and I had a sweet tooth for some crepes. The restaurant typically has a long line in the morning so we decided to try our luck around 4pm and we were able to walk right in with no wait. The macadamia nut pancakes were ok. Not as great as boots and kiwis - Bc they don't have the Mac sauce but it was still pretty decent. You Can order the omelette and add the Mac pancakes as an upgrade for an additional $4 Crepes were good - I was surprised by the portion of this one. It was big enough for 2 people. All in all ok, not too bad but I don't get the hype read more

Would have preferred it served with a choice of hot fudge or the caramel drizzle and since it was plain vanilla ice cream they could've drizzled a lot more caramel over it. The waitress did bring us more nuts when we asked, but they were busy at the time and she was the only server so it took her a while to get to us, and the ice cream was pretty melted by the time she delivered. We got there when they opened at 5 PM and they had two servers at that time. The place wasn't busy so it seemed like they had enough help for the amount of tables that were being seated. An hour and a half later, though, one server was missing (possibly taking a lunch break) and the only server remaining at several big parties to take care of which slowed down her responsiveness to the other smaller tables like ours. The music playing in the background seemed to fit the environment and was pleasant to listen to. It's a pretty casual atmosphere. The prices for what you get are a bit on the high end. Probably wouldn't go back unless someone else is paying. We didn't feel too bad this time because we had a gift certificate which covered most of our bill. Maybe we were choosing all the wrong items and should have just stuck to ordering meat dishes, which they might be better at making (with a name like Livestock). You'll have to check this place out yourself and see if they do a better job with meat and if the prices for those dishes are more reasonable. I gave this place four stars instead of three because the servers were friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was mostly okay (tasty enough and filling).

She even gave me a tip to put my name on Yelp's list before arriving. Talk about cracking the code to a smooth dining experience! The manager, Ryan, was like a breakfast superhero. I swear, I saw him hustling around the restaurant, taking care of tables and making sure everyone was happy. He must have a secret power to spread joy and butter on toast because he truly is an awesome leader. Our server, Keith, deserves a special shoutout for his patience and kindness. I was so indecisive about which French toast I wanted (I mean, who can blame me?), but Keith was there, guiding me through the sweet and savory choices like a breakfast guru. Traveling to Honolulu for business and tried to find a breakfast place close to our hotel in Waikiki that wasn't super pricey and was within walking distance. Found it in Eggs 'n Things! We managed to walk to the line when it was short...we later found out that was because they were about to close down for the afternoon before reopening for dinner...oooops! But apparently we just made the cut-off. It is an odd way to order...order at the stand, go in and pay, then get seated and the food is brought out. I'm sure it's to cut down on the dine & dash crowd. I ordered the combo with bacon and eggs along with a "clover" of pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. Oh my heavens...salty and sweet nirvana. The bacon was crisp, but not burnt, the eggs over medium as requested. Nothing fancy, but well executed. The pancakes were dessert! Good lord if you put syrup on these things, you are braver than I am. 3 pancakes with pineapple inside with a gigantic cone of whipped cream in the middle sprinkled with chopped macadamia nuts. I ALMOST couldn't finish it all, but powered through. A meal like this fills you up for quite a while, and dinner was definitely light and much, much later. Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have eaten here few times as we live in Kauai and hop to Oahu as our daughter goes to college there. We checked in with 3 of us for breakfast. we had just sat down and our daughter who lives there wanted to join last min. I asked the hostess if we could move to a larger table as our daughter was coming - she told us yes, proceeded to clean the table off, moved us over- then the server came back and said that our daughter could not join us, she couldn't sit at the table , she needed to go join the waitlist and wait to be seated. I explained that we asked the hostess and she moved us no problem, so 3 of us at 4 seat table, daughter wasn't allowed to come into the restaurant and sit nor could she order food, but the 3 of us could sit at a 4 person table and eat the chair had to stay empty. It just didn't make any sense, we added 1 to our group, they cleaned the table and moved us then told us No- the manager wouldn't allow it either. During our stay in Waikiki, my wife and I decided to kick off our day with a hearty breakfast at Eggs 'n Things, and we're glad we did! While there was a bit of a wait, we highly recommend using Yelp to join the queue and save time. Once we were seated, we dove into the island-inspired menu. I opted for the Signature Rainbow pancakes, which were as delicious as they were photogenic, and my wife enjoyed the satisfying Breakfast Meat n Eggs. To complement our meals, we indulged in refreshing Guava and Pineapple juices that perfectly captured the flavors of Hawaii. The service was decent, and the view from our table added to the overall experience. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, we found that the quality and taste made it worth it for a special vacation treat. If you're in Waikiki, we definitely recommend trying out Eggs 'n Things at least once for a taste of local flavors and a satisfying breakfast experience. Aloha! read more

Tourist trap! I have eaten here many years back, and this breakfast joint was better. Who knows why it changed, but the real surprise comes from the added line charges you are not aware of. There are two. You are being nickeled with a kitchen service, and then you're charged to pay for using a credit card. WTF? A kitchen charge? Pay your employees more, and raise your prices. The tourist will pay. A charge to pay by credit card? Raise your prices if you're that cheap of a business owner. The tourist will pay it. Let's talk about the food. The menu holds many options. Mainly grease dishes or carbs loaded with sugar. The ahi was nice, but this joint's idea of spicy anything is bland nothing. I just finished the Level 3 Laser Course at Medspa Institute, and it was a fantastic experience! I really enjoyed learning how lasers can quickly improve results in the beauty industry. In this course, I learned how to do tattoo removal, treat pigmentation, remove hair, and rejuvenate skin. The training was very hands-on, which helped me understand everything better. The instructors were amazing! They were knowledgeable, supportive, and always ready to help us learn. Their enthusiasm for the subject made the classes even more enjoyable. A frequent Hawaii visitor recommended this place and we came here nearly every day after that. The only days we didn't were because we had scheduled events and didn't want there to be a timing conflict. I got something different everytime and honestly don't know what I could recommend. It's ALL good. My husband has been an IHOP fan for years and he said this blew ihop out of the water. I highly recommend. And if you have to wait, it's worth it!!! Went here for Brunch. Pretty crap. Super long wait. Here are a few of the things that bothered me: 1. Guy went around asking only in Japanese if people were ordering take out and brought them up the front of the line... Only after several times did he say anything in English. My family went for breakfast twice and enjoyed our experience both times! Our favorites were the ahi and eggs and Kalua pork Benedict. Both were delicious and very affordable! It also had an amazing view of Waikiki beach! The one con is how busy it gets, but was made easier as we were able to sign in the waitlist online so we didn't have to wait too long! We had a great experience at Eggs 'n Things! The line was pretty long, so I highly recommend joining the waitlist before heading over -- the wait time was about 30 minutes to an hour. Once we were called, the service was quick and efficient. The food was delicious, and the pricing was very reasonable for the quality and portions. I went back because I left my sunglasses and the workers, 1 of them looked like the manager and the other guys kept coming back in forth from the kitchen were hitting on some of the tourist that were eating there. Great food, quite a long wait to get in (approx 1hr15) but was worth it. The queue is an online queue (join on tablet at entrance) where you can then see your place and go off and explore the beach or shops etc whilst you wait. I had the popular loco moco and I don't wish to say that it was disgusting but mushy fried rice with mushy onions and mushy mushrooms in an over salted brown gravy (like made from a powder) in a pile of mush - yuk! I passed by this restaurant on my way to Waikiki beach and saw a line waiting. I decided to give it a try. The wait wasn't so bad. I ordered the macadamia nut pancakes with the spam and eggs.
