The first thing the cashier told me was that the espresso machines were already shut down and that only hot tea was available. I asked what time the shop closed, and he said 7:00 pm. Since I still had time, I decided to stay and purchased tea. After sitting down, I was told--due to construction--that they would be "locking up soon." I assumed this still meant 7:00 pm. I received my tea around 6:10 pm, and by 6:20 pm I was told they would be locking the doors and turning off the lights. At that point, it felt passive-aggressive and misleading. If I had been told upfront that the shop was closing early, I would not have ordered anything. I specifically asked what time you were closing, and that information was not communicated clearly until after I had already paid. Additionally, if the shop is supposedly open until 7:00 pm, it's confusing why the espresso machines were already turned off at 6:00 pm. As for the tea -- 2/10. I didn't even finish it. I'm sure the coffee may be good, but this is the first time I've been to a coffee shop where the espresso machine was shut down an hour before closing. Lastly, as a study space, it's very limited: only two tables with about eight chairs total. There are outlets, but not nearly enough to support people working.
