Their Burrito al Pastor is nearly football-sized, absolutely delicious, has sour cream, and their Red sauce goes perfectly with it. They even have a drive-through order window! Chips and salsa are (I believe) made onsite and quite tasty as well with a Dr. Pepper (the unofficial drink of Texas.) A very filling meal for under $10, definitely going back for MOAR! read more

El Jalisco, oh how I miss you!! I still haven't found a match here in Austin. So everytime I make it to San Antonio, I make sure to stop for some breakfast! Food is cheap & delicious. Waiters are great, although speaking some spanish sure does help. Quick service as well. Best sausage and egg plate I could ever eat. And although they switched out the salsa, it's still great. In town visiting some friends and we stopped in for drinks and an appetizer. Don't have too much to offer since we weren't there very long, but I did want to shout out to the bartenders! Their barbacoa tacos are delicious! We have only purchased through the drive-thru and just found out this morning that they have Mariachis from 9 to 11 on Sundays. We will definitely be back to dine in and enjoy some live music next time. read more

This is my dad's favorite restaurant. We've been coming here since I was little, for about 20 years. Now, my husband and I come with him every Sunday morning. The chilequilles and tortas are my absolute favorite here than any other Mexican restaurant. The staff is really friendly and know my dad by name. This review is solely about the food since we did carryout this first time around. Holy crap, their food is delicious! The menudo is clean-tasting, flavorful, and has just the right amount of spice, and they were generous with the pozole. The barbacoa was tender and moist, and the chicharones were seasoned to perfection. The corn tortillas were fresh and went perfectly with the soup and the meats. This place is one of my local favorites but this place has ridiculously low prices. I love the breakfasts, two can eat for less than $10. Try the Omelet, surprisingly good. This is our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant!!! There beef fajita nachos and burritos are amazing! The meet is so tender! Definitely try it you wonder be disappointed! Every time I go to this place, it's a great experience. The food is authentic, inexpensive and tasty. It helps if you know Spanish...or at least try, they will appreciate the effort. The breakfast is awesome, big food. Like the huevos rancheros, or try the fajitas. All the shrimp dishes are yummy.
