We had previously hired a Yelp multiple 5 star review handyman for a 17 item punch list recently... but was somewhat underwhelmed by the lower value for what we paid, and the fact that he was on the phone a good chunk of the time. Plus asking me after I left an honest 4 star review to change my rating to 5... Um no. Makes you wonder. Contrast with B today and it's like night and day, even though each person's ratings are technically equivalent. He was punctual, fast, efficient, super friendly, adaptable and a great value. You don't see the nuances In service until you experience the real deal. He fixed some prior owner mistakes in labeling paint cans, and compensated for poor craftsmanship in our hall tree assembly with a great attitude. The patio workout mirror looks so good! I sent my request through Yelp based off of the trusty reviews from all you Yelpers. I kind of figured "how can I go wrong when it's 4.9 rating with over 170 reviews?" Brayan responded right away and after a few simple questions and pictures I provided he gave me his price guesstimate and availability. The day of service he texted me that he was done a little early and asked if I was available which I was and told me he was on his way. After looking at the things I needed fixed they ended up being bigger jobs than expected and I'm so glad he was the one to help because he went above and beyond and even ran to Home Depot to get the right parts. He wasn't happy until the work was complete the way he was satisfied. He also really knew his stuff because when he was looking at certain parts he knew what he was working with. Does anybody else look at shiny silver stuff and know exactly what type of metal it might be? I don't. He has a lot of knowledge and probably saved me a future call because we preemptively fixed what was the next thing to break that he saw when taking care of simple things. We have had a growing list of to-do items, and at last we called My Handyman OC. WE told them that we had several very heavy items to move so they quoted us a price for two workers. Their estimate was reasonable and similar to other handy offers, so, because of their reputation and reviews, we picked them. In the space of two hours, the two guys moved a huge, very heavy credenza with a cabinet top from one side of my office to the other, moved two 4 by 8 closet doors from the garage to the office, installed a high-ceiling light bulb (so now no one believes that LED bulbs really last for 50,000 hours), moved and installed a large, heavy painting from the office the hallway, moved a 50-inch LED TV from my office to the garage, moved an ancient LED TV (what a boat anchor that one is) from a downstairs bedroom to the garage. I accompanied them for most of the tasks and when appropriate made suggestions or even added small new tasks to their work. They were accommodating in everything, worked diligently and carefully, and did an excellent job. Both men were gentlemen and always polite and explained what they were doing, and they answered all of our questions. In fact, I think they are coming back Monday to do a little painting. Bottom line is that we are more than completely satisfied. These are the best workers (repairmen, contractors, service men, etc.) that we have hired in a long, long time. My experience with Brayan was great! I needed a wall repair because of a TV wall mount gone wrong. (See pics). I dont have the post-repair picture because I already covered it up with a TV, but it looks great! I knew how to do the wall patching and painting on our own but not the texture. Brayan's work was great! You can tell that the areas have been repainted over in the sunlight but he already told me that beforehand and it's not too noticeable so no biggie! That job was about $174 I believe. I also asked him to look at our toilet because the flushing was too weak and he took care of that and that was only $50. I didn't notice at the time he was done, but it wasn't to my liking. So I messaged him again later and asked about it and he came out again few days later to take a look. He fixed the problem and he didn't charge me extra for it. Such a great service. I would definitely recommend him to everyone. read more

We hired My Handman OC when my family bought a new house with lots of deferred maintenance. We scheduled them for multiple visits over a couple weeks due to the quantity of work we needed done. We had them: Install a Nest thermostat, Nest Hello doorbell and new bathroom vent fan. Replace light fixtures. Remove old satellite dish and cabling from the side of the house and roof, landscape trellis from the atrium, and several old built-in storage cabinets in the garage. Repaired multiple sink leaks and installed new fixtures and shower heads. Replaced every switch and plug in the house (50+).
