If you're looking for a solid neighborhood cafe you can't get any better than this. Nothing fancy, not your hipster brunch joint, just good and simple cafe food. Their toy claw machine is actually very generous too. I've gotten quite a few toys from it for my dog. This place is open late and opens early. The food is quality and I'll take this place over a Denny's or IHOP any day. The staff is nice. There's free wifi so it's a good place to get some work done as well. Diner food will always be my favorite, and Fantastic Cafe's breakfast burritos are the best. A friend of mine took me here since she lives down the street and told me "the breakfast burritos are pretty solid." I took her advice since I had been craving a good breakfast burrito since I graduated high school. Customer service was bad. If you don't like your job then find a different one. Ordered a steak and eggs, the steak was 80% fat and over cooked. Ordered a T-Bone steak dinner(medium) it was over cooked as well. Both steaks were so hard to chew into. And the customer service made it worse. Definitely not worth the $30 I paid. read more

I have been coming to this place since i was a little kid. Partially because i basically lived across the street but the chili cheese fries are to die for! everyone there is so nice. If you have a big group of friends coming you just push some tables together and bam you're set. You can eat chips and salsa until your food comes but do not eat too much because they give you your money's worth of food. And good food at that. They put a certain seasoning on their fries, YUM. Fantastic Café has been a staple in my life for over 10 years and it has never disappointed. From large delicious breakfast choices (best hash browns around) to the simple yet equally delicious chicken tender basket, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I started going here for breakfast recently. The breakfast is good, the restaurant is clean, comfortable, and never too crowded, and the staff is friendly. I like that the place has a lot of regulars, and it's fun to see them all on a weekly basis - like clockwork. It makes me feel like I'm in a sit com. My life is not that exciting, clearly. Sigh. I recommend the "405." It's two waffle squares, two eggs, and two pieces of either bacon or sausage for $4.05. It's enough food for breakfast, and tasty! read more

Great breakfast spot! It is super busy on the weekends. Their waffles are really good. We stop and pick up breakfast burritos on the way to the Marina sometimes- you can't miss with them. It is crowded, but staff is friendly and polite. The trick on Sunday's is to not go when church lets out (there is a church in the same parking lot) counter ordering but they bring your food to your table and serve you. read more

Disgusting. I know everything is priced nicely for customers because almost everything is between $5-10. I came here for zucchini fries, my friend got fried mushrooms, and my girlfriend ordered the chicken and waffles. Do NOT Order their zucchini fries. They fool you with their huge portion size and golden color but when you take a bite, nothing but disappointment and disgust takes over your taste buds. They were not juicy and fresh but rather dry and refried. Also, the dishwasher their must hate his life because all the dishes, from silverware with rice stuck in between the fork to cups with crumbs from previous diner --GROSS. This Neighborhood cafe can be called where the elite meet. The food is good, the variety and quantity will meet the taste buds of any hungry customer. They are friendly and always busy. Generally the place is packed. Lots of East-siders will run into friends, neighbors and colleagues. You can find American, Greek and Mexican dishes. College students, fisherman, police, stock brokers, Church goers, all walks of life and everyone feels welcome. It is not only tasty food but very reasonable. We could afford to take our family of four out for dinner without breaking the bank. It is also great for hamburgers and fries. They also have free chips and tasty salsa but ask you not to waste it.
