Really? All I can say I found a gem that has been open for only 9 days. The good news is, is that it's less than 7 minutes from my house. My friend told me about this place and we went Sunday afternoon. When you walk in, it has a nice layout, nothing wow, but I'm not eating the wallpaper for wow, I wonder how the food is. If you are coming here to count calories, I will tell you, this place isn't for you. The menu as far as appetizers and burgers is pretty standard. I like that they offer jalopeno poppers. When I ordered my food, I got the fat shack. Cheesesteak, fingers, fries, onion rings, poppers, and mozzarella sticks with a choice of sauce. My friend got the slob. When it came out, I thought it was a cheesesteak with everything else on the side. I didn't realize it came all in the hoagie! When I took the first bite I couldn't believe how good it was. All of the items complemented each other well. It's like as I'm eating, wow there is the jalopeno! With what you have in each sandwhich, it surprisingly isn't going to require you to get a second job. Reasonably priced. Since it's 107 today, they also offer milkshakes and deep fried desserts. NEW LATE NIGHT SPOT!! I came in to try this place out since they just opened and WOW!! I asked for a recommendation and landed on the "Fat Chance" sandwich with Jalapeño poppers, Chicken tenders, cheese-steak and fries with Buffalo sauce. Absolutely fire!! I also got Buffalo wings and fries which the smell driving home made my mouth water. The wings were SO JUICY and I snagged fries on the way home! For dessert, I landed on the cheese cake bites with strawberry sauce, I've literally never had such tasty cheesecake bites that almost melted in the center?? You have to get them! It's been a few months since I've been to Fat Shack but today I ordered a half of a sandwich and thought it was super small so I went back in and was told a half is 4 inches. Shocked because it cost over $8. I don't remember the half sizes being so small. I didn't even get full. The taste of the sandwich wasn't bad but there was still bread left over with no meat. Maybe I've always ordered the whole sandwich but I remember a whole being longer. 4 inches of a sandwich for what. Take that option off the menu and just offer one size. I feel scammed. I won't be back. The guys working there normally have good customer service. I hope they are paid well since the food prices are high. read more

Oh my goodness... so let me start by saying this, there is a "hole in the wall" joint called Hamburger Hut that I've been eating since I was a child. I've been trying to find a close replacement for this spot since adulthood, as I don't live near Hamburger Hut. Fat Shack is that, so for me, this review is 100% biased because I'm looking for a taste I'm familiar with! That being said, keep reading because these guys do "FAT FOOD" so well! (p.s. I'm curvy, so I know!) The chicken tenders and wings are perfection. The cook level (I don't like soft chicken, I need the "we fried this in lard" level of crisp) and they do it well! They completely sauce the tenders, no half saucing over here! The prices are a bit steep, but it's worth every penny! The sandwiches require caution! Ahaha! Imagine that sandwich you always daydream about when you're slightly stoned... they make it! So, try it out and indulge. But, be wary, because you won't have space to fit much else in those jeans once your done! They have adequate seating and the vibes are there! I haven't ate inside, as I prefer to be gluttonous in the privacy of my own four walls, but they always have some good tv on when I come pick up food. Service is prompt and polite. WOW! Its been a long time since a place impressed me. I almost never yelp. 1- I normally eat healthy so its safe to say this isn't ideal for that. It is obviously ideal for comfort food so if I decide one day I want to go there (eat whatever) I am VERY picky 2-Saw the menu and it looked like tooo much. I didn't understand how it could be so great but I live right around the corner and they had great reviews so I said... ok I'll "try" it. 3-I did 2 visits in 2 DAYS! first day was the Jersey. OMG!!! the menu descriptions, pictures doesn't do it ANY JUSTICE compared to the AMAZING taste! Normally more expensive foodie type spots impress me. It was every bit taste bud explosive, DELICIOUS, surprising, satiating (beyond expectations), incredibly pleasing and impressive. I had the funnel bites for dessert.. I dId not think I could do it (was full) then one bite in I was FULLY committed!! I couldn't say TY enough! 4-Day 2 was the maverick... pretty much same experience as day one! 10/10 - This place hits the spot! I tried it for the first time yesterday and had to go back to try other items on their menu. Wings: Pretty expensive. Not sure why the chicken is priced based on current market prices here in Vegas but in Fresno CA, it's cheaper. Regardless of price, the wings were pretty damn good. We got the classic Buffalo and Mango Habanero. Both were delicious. Saucy, crispy and juicy. Makes it easy to forget how much you paid. Haha. Chicken Fingers: These things were massive. Mildly seasoned in the best way possible. Crispy crunchy breading. Tender and juicy chicken. Enough said. Burgers: The burger was tasty. The patty was juicy, perfectly charred, and well seasoned. Slapped between two soft, toasted buns with lettuce, tomato and pickle and special sauce. The burger didn't last long in the hands of my son. Onion Rings: I'm a hard person to please when it comes to onion rings. Whenever I order onion rings, I usually get heavily breaded, soggy greasy circles of blah. These are nothing of the sort. First time going into a new place after I started new job. I was greeted right as I walked in and said it was my first time there. A friendly staff member told me his special which was burger fries and drink for under $11.00. I was a little hung over from night before which I told him and he joked that food would be done in hour lol. I was shocked how good the food and service was. Awesome secret spot. We were a large group. The guy who took our order was so patient and answered every question .y my mom and aunt had (they are in their 70's) and made great suggestions for things to try and things to share. Prices are great and they have an awesome menu with lots of things to try for the adventurous and still lots of things for those who just like the usual stuff too. Turns out the guy helping us was one of the owner/partners and he's was so excited about his place. So fun to talk to him. Our food came to the table and as it came out the food runners gave suggestions for how to eat and mix things and brought out whatever utensils, sauces, etc we needed. EVERYTHING WAS SO DELICIOUS! A few weeks ago I tried Fat Shack up in Eugene Oregon and it was an incredible burger. I was so hoping the same here. I showed just after they opened on a Saturday morning. I used the order yourself screen since the two employees were busy in the back. Ordering in house when need be is pretty easy. The restaurant looked nice but the floor was sticky and some tables had crumbs which tells me it was not cleaned from the night before even though the back area looked fairly clean. Also a couple of supply boxes were sitting in the back by the bathroom. The burgers themselves were good just not as good as the Oregon Fat Shack. The Onion rings and recommended deep fried pickles were good too. The Mac and cheese bites were bready tasting and were not a hit. BTW this was a take home order and food pics provided were taken about 10 minutes after I got the order and everything felt and tasted fresh not cold or soggy from the styrofoam containers. read more

Wing price is high, I think just worth it enough. Decent size on the "wings" themselves. Shake was great, loved adding malt. I feel really bad for this place because of their location. We were so excited to eat here everything looked so delicious and we walked in and I was like why does it smell like nail polish in here. My sister was like there's a nail salon next-door and it smelled like we walked into the nail salon. It was so strong that my sister couldn't even eat there I was going to grin and bear it but it was so strong we decided to leave.
