My experience here has strengthened my love for owning a Jeep now. I actually look forward to my service appointments mostly hanging out while my Jeep is being serviced using their powerful WiFi and having a few snacks and coffee as I wait. Prior to Fields in Glenview, I use to take my Jeep to a different dealership when I lived in the city. The previous dealership felt dirty, disorganized and their customer service skills was at best a D+. Their service advisors were always changing and two out of the three were like bad used car salesman. Now at Fields in Glenview, I have the best experience with my service advisor Peter. He always comes outside with a sincere smile to greet me when I arrive and is super knowledgable when asked specific questions. We brought our vehicle in for inspection because of a brake warning light and tire pressure indicators warnings. The car sat for two days. We were told that 3 of four tires had nails in them and the fourth was leaking from the rim. Fields wanted to charge over $800 to patch 2 tires, replace one and reseat the rim on the fourth. We chose not to proceed with the repairs until we could further inspect the tires and we're charged a lofty inspection fee to get the vehicle back. Took the car the next day to Discount Tire to have the tires inspected. They found no nails. I couldn't believe it so inspected the tires myself. There were none. DON'T TRUST FIELDS. read more

Spoke with a sales rep for over a week getting information and details about a car they had listed on cars.com. It was in the body shop getting something fixed, so I asked for a call when it arrived back at the dealership. Got the call on a Wednesday saying the car was in and went to the dealership (a 1 hour drive) the following Saturday based on that information. When I arrived was told the car was still in the shop and could not be driven or even looked at. Frustrated, I still asked for them to give me a quote on my trade in. Got a lower than value quote which is somewhat expected and was told it had to be lower as the car needed new tires. The tires were replaced about 4 months ago. While they could have provided other reasons for their offer, that is definitely not one of them. Overall, I walked away frustrated and felt like I was lied to multiple times in a short visit. read more

Took my vehicle after waiting one month with an appointment to get it diagnose for headlight. Drop the vehicle on a Thursday at 10am. Gentlemen told me it will take some time to get it diagnosed because they were busy. The day went by and didn't received a call with an update. The following day I had to call at 4pm because I have not heard any update. Gentlemen told me that they still had not gotten to the diagnosis because they were busy and it will probably be done on Monday. I was upset because they never told me how long this will take and didn't bother to give an update. I then requested to talk to the manager which she told me she will request for the diagnosis to be done ASAP. They then called me within a few minutes and told me that since the vehicle was involved in an accident the warranty will not cover the repair which was around $500.00. I then told them I would not fix it there and will pick the vehicle the next day. Following day I picked the vehicle and they charged me $200 for the diagnosis. Something the rep didn't even mention to me over the phone which I understand they had to take time to do that but it was also an unconvinced for myself. Visited on a week day. No one walked up and asked if I was being helped, atypical, but welcomed. Nearly no cars in the lot, so I suspect they are making a killing at charging more for limited supply. Picked up an O2 sensor and unfortunately paid full retail but I wanted to make sure to get the right part and have the means to return of it didn't resolve the issue. Online, I'd probably save $40 on $160 fill list part. Chryslers of specific model ECU is very sensitive to non OE sensors, so was stuck with getting a Mopar part. The amenities looked really nice and the showroom was spacious. I cannot say anything about the interactions with staff other then the Parts counter person being short, concise, and transactional. Reviews from other Jeep customers were pretty negative, but I figured they looked to the larger dealer in the north burbs, the part I needed would likely be in stock. read more

I have had the worst experience in the past few months with the service department. I had brought in my jeep in December with engine light on and the service advisor Sean proceeded to tell me that the fix was to replace all spark plugs and remove after market catch can and that it would fix the problem. Then I get a call back after agreeing to pay for that since the warranty wouldn't cover it saying that I also needed a O2 Sensor replaced and once again I agreed to have it done. Sean assured me this would fix the problem so I was happy with that even though it was going to cost me $1300 and the jeep is a 2018 JLU with 39,000 miles which it shouldn't need any of them replaced but I was like I need it fixed so I bit the bullet. Now I pick it up and everything seems fine and I was happy. But 250 miles later the same check engine light was on and now the jeep barely stays running. I had to have it towed in to service once again. This time I get a call from Sean saying I need to call my insurance company and say I drove through deep water (mind you I live in chicago its February and everything is snow covered and iced). So I ask him why would I call the insurance company to file a false claim when I haven't been anywhere nor has there been any deep water since everything is frozen. He proceeded to tell me well I don't know where you have been (250miles really). I asked to then speak to someone higher up. So he connected me with Colleen. She still proceeded to tell me to file a insurance claim and they could then take care of it. I proceed to tell her I dont want to file a false claim when I didn't drive through water. I then had to contact FCA corporate to get a case started and now the jeeps been in the service center for 2 weeks at this time. FCA then proceeded to tell them to tare apart some of the engine and see if water was the cause so the dealer called me telling me that there would be charge for diagnosing the jeep if they found water so I agreed to pay if they found the cause. Well colleen called me back and said they were going to replace under powertrain warranty since there was no evidence of water in the engine. Then proceeds to tell me there's going to be a charge for $660 because my jeep is lifted 2.5in and I was like why. She said thats what we charge when its more complicated to fix something because of a lift. I wasn't very happy with that charge since most jeep wranglers are lifted sometimes from the factory and I didn't have anything over the jeep factory lift of 2.5 so why would I have to pay extra for something that doesn't make the engine harder to replace. I then had to agree to the charge because they wouldn't start the work with out me doing so. I have now submitted all my receipts to FCA Corp. and am seeking reimbursement and the dealer is telling FCA the reason for the charge of $660 was because of a oil catch can that I had added aftermarket was in the way. The catch can was removed by the dealer on the first visit because they claimed it was the cause of the spark plug failure and O2 sensor. I'm not sure how many others have had issues with Fields Jeep but I can definitely tell you the must scam so many others without them even thinking twice because most people dont know what to do when in the dealers hands. I will never buy another vehicle from Fields Jeep nor will I use them for service. FCA needs to investigate this place for fraud and scams. read more

I just had the worst customer experience ever compliments of the Service Director herself, Colleen McKeown. Unfortunately, I had to have the transmission replaced on my Jeep awhile ago. When the techs reconnected the cable/linkage they were off just a bit it turns out. I only very recently noticed that when I put the shifter to Park, the reverse lights were on. I happened to leave my car running and gassed up at night and very luckily saw this. I called and made an appointment for service for this issue and 2 other issues. Well, after the repairs were done I got the bill and was charged for the linkage adjustment. I didn't think this was a fair charge since Fields Jeep techs were the ones who adjusted it incorrectly in the first place. I was sent to Colleen McKeown because she is the Service Director. I told her what happened and why I didn't think the charge was fair. She told me that the incorrect gear shift adjustment had nothing to do with the transmission replacement. I was taken aback because even I know you have to remove the shifter linkage/cable to replace a transmission. After I was lied to, she then said that had I called 2 or 3 days later then they may have stood behind their work. I explained that it was only happenstance that I even noticed the issue. Thank God I did notice this as it may have been a safety issue as well. Also, intermittent issues can be very hard to notice I explained. She immediately became rude and pushy, closing her door and windows to the office. She told me that my lifetime warranty would not cover linkage adjustments (which I believe to be false because I have the signed contract and brochure which states every single thing they cover.) Regardless, this should be the dealer standing behind their work and having nothing to do with the lifetime warranty. She noted on my account that she requires me to go through her directly from now on, even for an oil change? What? Really? Not only did I receive the worst customer experience but now I have to deal with her for everything from maintenance to repairs? I have spent $30,000+ at Field's Jeep. I have all my oil changes done there. I buy my tires there. I buy alignments there. She made me feel so disrespected as a customer but also made it quite clear Field's Jeep will not stand behind their work unless me, the customer, catches every issue within days after receiving my car back. This is unacceptable. My wife and I have had a pleasant experience each time we have been at Field's otherwise. I cannot fathom how the Director of Service herself can provide such horrible service. And then "punish" me by noting on my account on her computer that I have to deal with her for anything I want done to my Jeep from now on!! This gets even crazier. Service did not perform the work as I requested and I still have not received a call back from her. Even after I notified the dealer within 1 day of the problem!! Stay away from their service department. Tried to scam my wife into a $1650.00 job that was not required. I took the car to another service center. Completely misdiagnosed the problem. Furthermore, found out Fields never even did the proper diagnostic work to source the problem in the first place. Not to mention when my wife went back to get the car, and with them knowing that we were not going to have them do the work, the mechanic never fully closed the hood of the truck. She drove on the expressway without realizing it. Luckily it did not flip up. This was the second time they did this. The first time they told me I needed new steering knuckles and it would cost over $4k. Again a misdiagnoses and almost an additional $3k of an uneeded spend. I bought my car brand new back in 2015 I loved it up to the point they worked on it. With only 31,700 miles I should not have a problem nor a concern while I owned the car. When you buy a car they will roll the red carpet for you and tell you that there's a loaner available. I had to take my car back three times and they were never able to fix the problem. I never had a loaner available nor did they explained that the extended warranty would cover for a rental. Upon arrival late on Saturday the service manager and another employee were mocking and ridiculing customers who were not happy that a loaner was not available. She's the reason I no longer wish to do business with fields and will buy another Jeep Grand Cherokee at another dealership. Worst car dealership I've ever been to. Easily. Scheduled a test drive on 7/11 for 7/13. Emailed on 7/13 to confirm and move up time 30 mins. Was told that was great and to ask for Roberto Lopez when I arrived later that day to test drive a specific Jeep. Arrived and asked for Mr. Lopez and was told he was not working. Another associate offered to help me. I told him the car I was scheduled to test drive and was interested in buying and he went to go pull it up. Came back about 10 mins later and told me the car was not there because it was on loan and would be back tomorrow. He was very rude and did not seem to care at all about the fact that I drove 45 mins to get there just to be told the car was not there during my scheduled and confirmed test drive time. Do not waste your time here there are plenty of dealerships nearby that actually care about their customers and sales. read more

Just took 1 of 25 promaster vans into this dealership for maintenance. My experience was just bad. It was 2 1/2 weeks to get the appointment, I dropped the vehicle off the night before the appointment on September 27th, I was finally able to get the vehicle back today Oct.12th. They preformed several repairs 2 new drive axles, and a new radiator. They has to order the drive axles that took 1 1/2 weeks to get and the inexperienced service Welcome person ( because she surely did not know anything about vehicle or fleet maintenance). I received no help from the dealer navigating Mopar Warranty had to do it all myself. Today I pick the vehicle up and a brake clip is hanging( they come back and say they never touched the brakes( but the put to drive axles in vehicle) and they didn't repair or even tell me what was wrong with it either, Needless to say I left the dealer with the vehicle still needing service. Mr. Fields your staff and Managers are undermining your Corporate Mission Statement. My recommendations; don't buy a Chrysler product because service at dealer is a nightmare, make sure your bring crayons to the dealer to explain your issues to your advisor( because they are all inexperienced) and 3rd, just try another dealer. read more

SERVICE REVIEW. This place is bizarre. I arrived at 9:45am for 1:45pm appointment. I expected them to look at me crazy. The service adviser took the car and apologized that it might take longer than usual. She asked me if I'd be waiting at the dealer or leaving. I said I'd be leaving on foot looking for food (as there is a lot of retail around.) She told me that there was coffee, OJ, and fresh bagels inside. At lunch, there'd be pizza. (What?) The lounge is like a hotel lobby with restaurant tables on one side and sofas on the other. When people's cars have been looked at, the service advisers come to your table and have a conversation with their notes about the various things that will need to be done on the horizon. They give a quote on each item and tell what you what can wait and what probably shouldn't. I found them to be very honest, including when the adviser came to my table at 11am (again, three hours before I was supposed to arrive.) There was an old lady who brought her car in for a brake job. I watched them convince her that she had plenty of life on her brakes, that the problem must have been dust that sounded like he brakes were bad. Really took time convincing her not to do work. Everyone is kind as could be. And I worked at a dealer as a salesman. I know that fake, greasy 'dealer nice.' This is like a real, 'let's make some Midwestern small talk' nice. When you find a good dealer, you pay some extra money, but it will save you some money here and there too. RIght now, two hours in to my Fields experience, I feel like this is one of those kinds of dealers. This review might be premature. If I am wrong, I'll be back to tell you about it. read more

Bought my Jeep grand Cherokee in 2018 and since then have received decent service. However the free car wash was a major selling point for me as I spend a lot of time at a barn so my car is often dirty. During the pandemic, the car wash was understandably closed. But since then it also seems closed more than it's open. You would think they might coordinate between the two Fields dealerships to make sure that one of them is available. But I tried both the jeep dealership and the BMW dealership in Highland Park this week and both were closed. My advice: don't offer something if you can't deliver. It just pisses off your customers. Not sure that I would make a point of buying my next car from them. read more

5 stars for my service associate Mike, that took care of my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Service for my car ended up running longer than expected and Fields needed to keep my Jeep overnight. Unfortunately this was an issue for me since I had my kids doctors appointment in the morning and need my car seats. Mike tried to see if there was any chance they could take care of my Jeep and get work completed that night given my situation, but that was not possible. They offered to have their car seat certified tech even take my car seats out if picking them up and putting them in the loaner car was possible. Props to Fields and Mike for trying to come up with solutions every step of the way to help. Sending a porter with my car and paying online the next day is quite literally the BEST service I have ever gotten. Fields Glenview you have won this life long Jeep drivers business for ever. This is our 3rd brand new car purchase and 1st time buying a Chrysler. We bought a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Limited and they had the right color and features that we wanted in stock. We didn't need to haggle on price because they were already priced below invoice. Before buying, we had a 2015 Honda Odyssey and was became more dissatisfied over time. The navigation and tech were terrible. There were so many little frustrating things. Like auto-playing the first song on your phone over Bluetooth audio when starting the car. No pause button when you are playing off your iPhone. Can't see the name of a song unless you switch Nav off and go to audio. The list goes on... When I researched Chrysler Pacifica, I was blown away on the number of features and thoughtfulness to the small things. Even the yet to be announced 2018 Honda Odyssey's features are half what the Pacifica has already. The things I love about the Pacifica. 1. 8-seating with seats that can move forward to access the 3rd row WHILE the car seats are still installed. 2. 2nd row car seats fold into the car and when not stowed, you have extra storage under the floor. 3. Vacuum is in the 2nd row and not in the trunk area to access easily and vacuum front row. 4. Adaptive cruise control, auto braking, and lane sensing control are awesome features that I can't go back without. Especially long highway hauls. 5. Watch movies off USB thumb drive, DVD and each screen in 2nd row can watch different content. So here's why I love Fields. 1. Free car loaners. This is a big deal. Honda didn't have that and we'd spend so much time waiting or having to coordinate pickups when we did any service. 2. Free car washes. 3. Free popcorn, ice cream and pizza while you wait for service. 4. Our Rep, Dennis Glauner, was awesome. We came in late at night and he stayed 1-2 hours past closing to finish all of the paperwork. He even went above and beyond and even looked for other discounts after we wanted to buy. Like the company I work for today has a discount. If you lease another car you get a discount. On and on. He took the extra mile to find discounts that piled on top of the great price initially. Our other cars were Infinite and Lexus and Fields delivers better service than these other dealerships. Do not take your car here for oil changes. After 3 oil changes with them, come to find out my tires were never rotated which is something they "claim" (per their website) comes with every oil change and I now have 4 bad tires at 16,000 miles on a 1.5 year old car. New management doesn't care about loyal customers. After being a loyal customer in servicing my jeep at this location for 8+ years, I was treated very poorly today. Every single time that I have brought my car in for service (which we have bought tires, oil changes, mechanical issues...thousands of $s), they provided a loaner car if they will have the vehicles for a few days. When calling today to make an appt for mechanical issues, they told me they no longer honor that I am a long term customer and will not offer me a loaner because I DIDNT BUY THE JEEP at their location in 2010. They never asked me this question previously. We were going to start looking for a new car but will definitely not be buying from.this dealership. Horrible customer service!!! I spoke to sally about bringing in my truck to get serviced and specifically asked her if there are any loaners available and she said yes. So I drive 40 mins with my wife and kid and get there and a old lady name Rachel Granta says to me there are no loaners available and I said well I spoke to sally and she's said nope you'll have to go through enterprise with her ugly little attitude!!! Great customer service. I'm guessing because I didn't purchase the car from them after they asked if I did I don't get a service loaner? I could've just went to a local Chrysler store that's 10 mins away from where I live. Never going back for anything there. read more

First for the good. I have been a customer of Fields Jeep for 3 years now. I have purchased two vehicles from there as well as referred 7 friends who also purchased vehicles from Fields. Now for the bad, in the past 2 months I have had nothing but trouble at Fields specifically the service department. Never have I ever been so mistreated and disrespected by the service staff at Fields. Today I went to Fields Service and had a thermostat replaced in my Jeep. Almost 5 hours later I got my car back, imagine my shock and surprise when my repair totaled $733.00. Over $500.00 was for labor alone, and over $100.00 for the thermostat which I found out is actually a $15.00 part. Needless to say I hit the roof when I saw this rip off. Not one person at Fields made any effort to ensure, me the customer, was satisfied. I was met with indifference and hostile attitudes from the staff at Fields. So when does the Fields Matter" motto come into play? To me it's a bunch of empty words. Rest assured I will never ever darken the doorstep of Fields Jeep Glenview again. So be forewarned, stay away from Fields Jeep Glenview, there's plenty of other dealerships that will treat a customer right and will appreciate your business...... read more
