First Watch did good today. I do find it weird they're doing indoor seating during peak Houston Covid outbreak, but they will take outdoor by request. Service was prompt and accurate. I got the banana pecan pancakes, they were delicious! They have several other fruit pancake options I'd try next time. Also had some great fresh squeezed OJ. The water could've used ice since it's summer. Everyone else said their dishes were great, which were mostly egg dishes. This place inspired me to become more bougie. I used to think bougie food was just a dumb and expensive trend (I'm still not wrong), but they make it taste good too! After attending a yelp elite event here, I started making my own avocado toast and now quinoa actually doesn't taste so bad. Also I highly recommend the kale tonic juice, sounds questionable but it tastes so much like kiwi that I couldn't believe there wasn't any kiwi in it. Get it and thank me later. Jokes aside, this is a nice brunch place with a friend or a date. The service has been impeccably friendly and helpful in expanding my food vocabulary. Update: I came back and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. And the food was exactly if not better than what I expected it to be. We ordered the Chickichanga and the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. The Chickichanga looks kind of like an omelette and came with diced potatoes and seasonal fruit on the side. It was well cooked, and tasted pretty good. Nothing amazing, but still pretty good. The dish itself sat a little heavy for me. The smoked salmon eggs benedict was great! I prefer it over the Chickichanga because it sat lighter and tastes better in my opinion. The eggs were perfect (thank god). When I cut into the egg, the yolk satisfyingly seeped out. Came here on a busy Sunday morning. There was a short wait but there was also complimentary coffee which I took advantage of. I ordered the millionaire bacon, blueberry pancakes, and iced coffee. The pancakes were huge and delicious! One would have filled me up. Though they only sent out when pancake when I had ordered two and forgot the bacon. So a bit of a delayed start but a very good breakfast overall. My only complaint is I would like to see the kitchen take more care in plating. There were chives on top of my pancake and some salad mix underneath it. Obviously those things don't compliment the pancake flavor very well. Arrived a little later than we normally do for breakfast locations. Didn't have to wait to long. Good coffee and the special French toast was very sweet and delicious. The pancakes are ok but I've had much better. The service was ok. Our waitress was very nice but another waitress may have tried to help but her attitude just sucked. The seats are starting to wear out from the window sun and use. Need to look out for the future seating. We will return but we will check out other places first. read more

Let me start off by saying that I only gave it 2 stars because the waitress was great. My wife and I ate here on a Monday morning getting to the location at around 11:30am. The Place wasn't too busy but a large group sat down before us. So our server sat us down not to long after the large group. The server was very nice and attentive. We got our drinks and order. Wife and I were having a great conversation when we noticed other people that sat after us getting there food. When I made a comment to the waitress she apologized and said she would take care of our order, at that point we had been waiting for an hour plus for our food and we had to pick up our kids. What a noisy restaurant, am assuming is due to the construction of the building but the noise is too overpowering to have a conversation, drinks came in super fast but food did take a while 30+ minutes I suggested reading the menu before hand and ordering as soon as you get in. Really enjoyed our second visit to this Pearland TX location. First visit was abysmal, so we decided to give this location a second chance at the standard and quality we have come to expect from First Watch franchises (plus we were in the area and hungry). Everything was better than the opening week experience we originally had and poorly rated. Our server was excellent - very pleasant and knowledgeable! The food was hot and perfectly cooked - I ordered the parm hash and really enjoyed the cook on the breakfast potatoes, onions, cheese blend, crimini mushrooms, sweet tomatoes, and Italian sausage bits topped with 2 over easy eggs. The coffee was strong and hot, just the way we love it with a pot being left on the table for refills. This place really sucks! This particular location is really bad with service , getting orders correct, meals being hot and managing the wait list. I've been here 7 times now and just keep wanting to give them another chance! No more , you have lost me as a customer. Today I joined the wait list on line at 11:38 am and the wait was 15-20 minutes. So I arrive in 15 minutes and went to check in with the host. There was a young man and young woman at the hostess station and neither of them knew how to check me in, we stood there for 7 minutes waiting for the real hostess to come check me in and she tells me it will be another 3.0-40 minutes. Poorly managed restaurant and half empty, all floor staff walking around aimlessly. I've been in the business for several years and I hate writing reviews like this but I'm done with this place. read more

First off it was an 50 minute wait when we see three two seat tables available when we arrive and when we were seated . It took almost as long for our food. I blame it on the manager and waitresses not getting people seated faster when we saw tables available. Horrible Fathers Day . The cooks hats off the food was delicious. My pancakes were cold but not your fault . Had to wait for my waitress because she failed to bring my syrup . I get it its a busy day but you should of expected this and been more equip and prepared or better experience management. The only thing that saved you was your cooks. I found another breakfast spot. Now I will admit it's not my favorite place, but I have out grown Denny's and IHOP so I needed a new spot. The place is close to the house and has been poppin up all over the city. It's small and neat on the inside just like the kind of place I like to eat at. The food is about average to me which is not had at all. However the waffles and the grits are superb. Like I said it's not my favorite place to eat breakfast and I like the style of the place and food is pretty good. Atmosphere has a true appeal to me, so I will be eating here anytime I'm too lazy to make my own breakfast or drive way across town to get what I really want, (fish and grits). There's a First Watch back home, so I was beyond thrilled when I found out that there are a few locations here in the Houston area. I have visited two locations while here, one of which was the Pearland location. The food at First Watch is always so fresh and delicious. It's one of the reasons most patrons love this place. The portions are perfect, and the price point is also great. The fresh squeezed juices are also an FW staple. From multi-grain pancakes to scramble skillets, to turkey sandwiches, to quinoa bowls, it had enough options to satisfy everyone's mood. Alyssa pointed us to the seasonal menu where I chose the Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash. It was great and was substantial enough to fill my fat ass up. We each ordered & watched as multiple people that came in after us got their food. We waited 43 minutes for any of the food to start coming out & that's when we found out one persons food was messed up twice so it still wasn't ready & another persons side food kept coming out raw so they cancelled that for us. Tries this place out for the first time today. First, we really liked our server Jontia. She was very personable and helpful. The food is good here. I had the Turkey Baja Burger. It was very good. Nice ratio of turkey to greens to pico to avocado. The tomato basil soup on the side was good as well. This meal was not a calorie buster either as it was about 860 cal for the food. Their coffee is also tasty. My wife had the traditional breakfast. She subbed on grits for the roasted potatoes. She said her meal was excellent. Must have been as her plate was cleaned. She had two of their seasonal juice blends (carrot and a beet juice) and they were both tasty. This is definitely a place to come back and try some of their other offerings. Today was our first time at this location. It was a Sat morning so there was a bit of a wait but nothing unreasonable. We enjoyed everything we got and have nothing but nice things to say about our server, Deborah. She was friendly and attentive and had great recommendations. I had the tri-fecta - eggs, meat, and bread choice. I had the chicken sausage and the French toast. The chicken sausage is pretty good. It does have a sweet taste so be aware if you're looking for something savory. The French toast was light and airy and came with a strawberry compote. I had a happy plate - which means everything was delicious. My husband got the Choirzo omelette. Chorizo, cheese, avocado, with peppers on top. He opted not to have the potatoes but did get the whole grain toast. The toast are thick slices. It also comes with a micro green salad. He enjoyed everything and also had a happy plate. The kids got the chocolate chip pancakes and the half waffle. They enjoyed all of it including the bacon they got. Everything was almost eaten. It's been almost two months since I have patroned First Watch. I love the ambience and decor of this little brunch spot. The food is always fresh and today was no different! The choices on the menu make it a little difficult to choose because you want a little nibble of everything. They currently have a seasonal menu which includes an açaí bowl and elote inspired scramble. Hibiscus lemonade is one of their seasonal drinks. Today I had some coffee and banana Granola Crunch pancakes with a side of bacon and potatoes. So yummy and delish. This place is not the typical chain restaurant. The staff here never lets you see an empty glass of water or cold cup of coffee. The food is always fresh and creative. I always order from the seasonal menu because I love variety. Justin is typically my waiter or Crystal is my waitress however today I had someone new. I ordered the skillet meal and we shared the Million Dollar Bacon appetizer...delish!
