We go to this First Watch on average twice a week as it is in our neighborhood. We simply love it. The food is healthy and excellent, the service is always wonderful (Amy and Matt are truly special and always go over the top to make our visit the best). We very rarely have any issues with our orders and on the rare case it does happen, it is always corrected promptly. That is saying something because we are here all the time! The restaurant is clean and the decor is fantastic. Overall, this First Watch is very inviting and always does a great job. We love that it's part of our community here in Carrollwood. I am a fan of this place. The menu looks great and so many healthy options. I got the pick two combo with the roast beef and havarti sandwich and the superfood kale salad. The roast beef sandwich was amazing and the salad was okay I wasn't a huge fan of the maple lemony salad dressing though. Their ice coffee is pretty good too. There are so many reasons to love this place, I'm not sure where to begin. The service is excellent. Before I ask, I pretty much have it. The place has a pleasant ambiance. It feels like home, sometimes it can be loud but I like that I can be comfortable talking to my family and no one is listening. The weekends are pretty busy, so expect to wait a bit to get seated. The menu consisted of many healthy breakfast items which is a refreshing alternative to the typical greasy American breakfast. I ordered the Breakfast Scramble: Scrambled Eggs, Spinach, Ham, and melted Cheddar and Monterey Jack on thick-sliced multi-grain toast. Topped with hollandaise Sauce and served with fresh fruit. It wasn't anything spectacular but was pretty good. I've only been here once and only had this dish, so this is all I can base this place on. Worth a try for a healthy breakfast! read more

We love First Watch! You have to get to this one early on the weekends not to have to wait a bit for brunch, but even if you have to wait it's worth it. Normally I get the triathlete omelette or something healthy, but the last two times I've gotten a skillet hash with scrambled eggs and bacon, and it is incredible. I crave it frequently for breakfast. I wish we lived closer so that I could go more often just to get that avocado, bacon, and tomato skillet hash. It comes with an English muffin and fruit. Yum! They also have really good coffee. They sell the bags of it, but I've never purchased one. Maybe next time. read more

This restaurant is dishonest. it happened twice to us. They double charged our bills. So folks CHECK your credit card account closely if you go there. They usually posted your bills two or three days later ( in correct service dates) then they would charged two different dates for the same amount twice. This place has been an institution in Tampa for years. Great breakfast with fresh ingredients. The girls wre excited about egg whites and a chocolate chip pancake that was big enough to throw as a frisbee. Fruit was a solid call - bowl of strawberries, fresh cut pineapple, and honeydew melon. Omlette was good, but a bit small. Multi-grain pancakes didn't really distiguish themselves from normal pancakes, and It looked like we landed the one uniformed server of the bunch. read more

Really comfortable atmosphere. I love the milk bottle water jugs they leave at the table. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes! So good!! It had fresh strawberries and lemon custard on top so the sweet and the tangy blended perfectly! I also had hot tea. What I really liked about the way they serve their tea is that you get not only a caddy of different teas to choose from but also your own pot of hot water. It's a stupid thing to latch on to but I can't tell you how much I hate having to wait for the waiter to notice I'm out of tea. It's easy to do with tea drinkers I've noticed. ALSO, our server Kara (not carol... That's your aunt) made sure I had a cup of fresh hot water so I could take my tea to go! Seriously, you cater to my tea obsession and you'll have my love forever. My friend had the carrot cake pancakes which was pretty good. I like that they switch up the basics. It's different and fun. The place had a nice level of noise. You can hear the low buzz of conversation but it doesn't drown out the music which is set at the right volume (loud enough to hear but not so loud as to be distracting). I've been to First Watch restaurants throughout Ohio and Florida and have found this one to be just as consistent. This time I tried out the Chickchanga- a tortilla wrapped, egg and avocado filled, smothered in Verz Cruz sauce, specialty. It was served with a small side of fruit and large helping of their famous seasoned potatoes. Overall, the Chickchanga met my expectations however I wished they went bigger with the fruit side and cut back the seasoned potatoes side. We arrived around 10am on Sunday and waited 10 minutes before they could seat our party of four. Not bad for a Sunday morning, hangover helpin' meal! The wait was made less painful by the complimentary coffee they set out for hungry customers. read more

If you've ever noticed how quickly you get served when you order at first watch - it's not because Flash Gordon is wielding the spatula in the kitchen - it's because they pre-cook portions of the meals. Which, if not kept at proper temperature, becomes - cold and not fresh tasting. We've stopped eating at First Watch because the last two breakfast meals we've had have been cold - fully cooked, mind you - but cold. The French Toast I had actually tasted like refrigerator stink. Fantastic little spot that is always jammed with patrons, so you know the food is good! Banana crunch pancakes are creative and delish with just the right amount of granola. The service has always been very good from my standpoint and the price is typical. They have your typical breakfast food but they have a way of making is seem not so typical with organic ingredients if you prefer and ultra fresh fruit. Good eats! read more

We arrived late morning, quite the rush hour. When we entered there was no hostess, just people sitting down waiting for a table we guessed. Some others came in right after us and also just took a seat on the waiting couch. 5 minutes later a party of 8 entered and at the same time a waitress showed up and... wrote down their name on the waiting list. The guy next to me looked at me, I nodded back in despair and we both went giving our names. After 25minutes we were seated and ordered our drinks. The waitress recommended the freshly squeezed oj, which we all took. While waiting we could admire the nice menu, lots and lots of choice, healthy or not, spicy or sweet, hot or cold, you had it all. I went for an omelet, the misses for some kind of taco and pancakes for the kids. Then arrived our oj's, the color was already saying "Hello, I'm pasteurised", but I gave it the benefice of the doubt. MhMh had something of a minute maid with some pulp with that typical lactic pasteurized taste. I then went to the bathroom with a detour passing in front of the kitchen. There they were, big sealed bottles of orange juice with labels on them, couldn't make out the brand though, they were too fast putting the bottles back in the cupboard. The oj wasn't bad (not comparable to fresh one of course) but I don't like being lied too, for me freshly squeezed is the when you really squeeze an orange into a glass, not when you squeeze a bottle... The food was great though, big servings, fresh ingredients and the pancakes with chocolate were simply excellent. The bread had a problem, it was dry and old. And you all know the importance of bread at breakfast, well uh if you don't it's really important :) I had better expectations, especially seeing all those highly rated reviews. read more
