I don't frequently leave reviews, but the entire staff at the restaurant has been nothing short of awesome every time we've gone, and my kids love chicken and pizza so we've been there a ton of times. I especially want to praise Eber and Jordan, who treat everyone like family. They are super professional, so helpful, and so kind. They both have an incredible work ethic, are personable and friendly to our boys. The food is delicious, but nothing tops incredible customer service and these two go above and beyond on a regular basis. We stopped in here on a week night and we ordered a gf pepperoni pizza, bbq chicken pizza, buffalo chicken wings, and mozzarella sticks. Things I think of when I think of Detroit- 8 mile movie, the Henry Ford Museum, and the 2008 Lions who went 0-16. I've never thought of, or tried, Detroit style pizza, so I was excited to try. I picked up 3 large pies for family pizza night. We ordered the Copper Hat, Sausage, and cheese pizzas. Despite the pizzas great appearance, the base of each pizza was cooked a little differently. One pizza was way undercooked. The crispier the better in my opinion. My favorite pizza out of the 3 we had was the cheese. Simple, delicious, and greasy. Picked up the Valentine's Day pizza kits. OMG, magnificent dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. I'm only hoping this will be available again in near future. I really loved this place! My sisters and I went to lunch on Sunday after church. My sister is currently pregnant and was craving a Dr. Pepper and that specific item was out. We said it was okay ordered our food and as we waited we saw one of the girls coming in with a 12 pack of Dr Pepper and gave one to my sister. The large Detroit was just barely enough for a family of three along with a cheesy bread and side order of brussels sprouts bringing the total to about $50 for those three items, if you are all super hungry, that would not be enough. But the taste is absolutely fabulous. At Fly Bye you place your order, pay, then seat yourself, and your meal is brought to you. The coating on the chicken was pretty heavy and it started falling off. But other than that, I enjoyed the strips -the fries were piping hot and I loved that they brought me a little cup of ketchup so I didn't have to get up and get it myself. They even have a sauce called copy-cane and it's BETTER than Cane's! Their tenders are perfectly seasoned and that's a mark that Cane's sadly misses. They are amazing!! It is a style of Sicilian pizza that is traditionally topped with Wisconsin brick cheese that goes all the way to the edges and caramelizes against the high-sided heavyweight rectangular pan 12 Wings with dipping sauces on the side. Wings were good size and nicely crispy, I enjoyed the wings with just dipping into the Ranch sauce. Ended up adding in 2 bottles of Diet Coke. Food is terrific, wouldn't expect anything less coming from Sam Fox Concepts Restaurant, only grimmice is the price point. For a Large Detroit Style Brooklyn Pizza ($27), 12 Wings ($20.95), 2- diet cokes, bill was +$61. That lunch price for two dining in a casual pizza and wing place is, well you determine. Came on a Wednesday evening for a Yelp event and enjoyed myself here! We were given a little taste of their mozzarella sticks, Caesar salad, tenders, wings, and pepperoni pizza! Everything was good, but my favorites were the cheese sticks, Caesar salad, and pizza! Fly Bye is a casual order at the counter restaurant that is part of the Fox Restaurants Concepts Group. The location I went to is at Desert Ridge Mall in North Phoenix. They offer snacks, salads, hoagies, chicken tenders, wings, and several pizzas with build your own options. Soft beverages, beer, and wine are bottles or cans that are available. The restaurant is small with only a few tables inside and a few outside. We ordered a variety of things to try. My favorite of the bunch might be the chicken tenders because the chicken was really great and moist. The breading texture was fluffy but also crunchy and didn't seem as heavy as they looked. Both of us thought as plain chicken tenders they seemed a bit under seasoned. But when you dipped them in the Nashville Hot sauce they turned very good. I do have to say that the Nashville hot sauce is very good! Even the crinkle cut fries were good with fluffy interiors. We both thought the Buffalo Cauliflower bowl was good but it didn't taste like Buffalo sauce...... I liked all the vegetables in the bowl and the Za'atar was right on. Maybe instead of Buffalo they could add something more complimentary like harissa or shrug sauce.? The Detroit style classic pizza had crispy edges but the edges didn't taste cheesy like what Detroit style is suppose to be. It was good anyway. It seemed a lot lighter than other Detroit style pizzas that I have tasted. It reminded me of Wonder Bread. I think that it's the type of pizza that children will love. The hand stretched Lebanese Mom Pizza was a little lighter by the slice to eat than the Detroit Style. It's like a party type crust. The za'atar, garlic, spinach, feta yogurt were all in balance but the marinated tomato needed a little zing. It was good I'm just overly picky. Located at Desert Ridge Marketplace next to Albertsons. They have summer special going on so I wanted to try their pizza. We ordered their hand stretched supreme pizza and black truffle mushroom. Both really delicious. The hand stretched pizza has good chewy crust while their mushroom pizza has softer crust. I liked the black truffle mushroom pizza, simply because it had more flavor from the roasted onions. I'd like to try other pizzas or even choose my own toppings next time. Can't wait to go back. First time here and first time trying Detroit style pizza. Ordered to go. Curb side pick up. Wait said 20 minutes and got it 5 minutes after that. I did like the pizza and that it's somewhat thin thick lol The crust was crispy and medium thick. Pineapples we're big but at least they were chopped into pieces. I've had them where they had the whole ring of pineapple slice on top lol The wings were juicy and tender but I wasn't a fan of the dipping sauce options. Kinda boring and your typical sauce flavors. An updated review: Came back to give Fly Bye another try and I'm glad I did. Was able to order their Family Meal special which is a great deal! A large pizza, salad, 16 wings and two sauces for $48. Placed the order online and did curbside pickup. Their online app knows when you get there which is super cool. The food came out in less than 5 minutes. The pizza was cooked really well, with the crust perfectly crispy. The wings were delicious and seasoned really well. I was a big fan of that copy cane sauce too.
