This is different, this is the real deal. You look at their menu and know it's legit at once--then there are the desserts which are also legit and remarkably so--very welcome. My bun bowl with skewered grilled pork and spring roll was absolutely perfect. Like, it seriously could not have been any better. Adrian, my waiter, was also excellent. My only critique--and it may seem a petty one--is the music was banal, trite, American and British pop hits from the early 2000s. There is so much good Viet pop and other Asian music--K-pop if nothing else--they could play, so why this? I don't want to hear the same music Kohl's plays at a restaurant so magical and delicious. But aside from the bad choice of tunes, this is a gem in full.

Our first visit we had Ashlynn F as our server. We struck up a conversation with her on the first visit and found her to be friendly, professional and knew everything about the food and restaurant. So, as we drove over for our second visit we hoped Ashlynn would be there again. Well, our wish came true and we were greeted by Ashlynn when we walked through the doors. Not only did Ashlynn remember us, where we sat on our first visit but also what we ordered the first time!! Anyway if you want great food, great service and some drinks, with or without alcohol, give Mama's Pho a go and we don't think you'll be disappointed. See you next time Ashlynn

I love almost everything on the menu- until today. I ordered through the app for a pick up order, steel cut oatmeal with berries and pecans and opted to pay extra for added blueberries. Now, I get food is expensive these days- I go to the grocery store and gawk at prices like everyone else. However, to be charged almost a dollar and a half for blueberries, only to open my cup to find 7.... SEVEN..... little blueberries for almost a third of what I can buy in the grocery store..?? I was very taken aback. If I had not had an obligation, I would have turned around and complained. It's a decent portion size, I have no complaints there, it simply needs more than 7 blueberries! Come on Panera, you tout being the best with the freshest ingredients, don't get cheap on me, don't be like everyone else. You're better than that. I would like to say I would return- I'm still deciding.

The restaurant is small and the decor is what I'd call cozy chaotic - lots of beautiful Thai shrines and figures, but then funky Christmas lights strung over whimsical photos. Don't let the "Reserved" tags on every table cause you concern, we and every party that came in after us were assured we could sit anywhere. We started with the Som Tam papaya salad at a medium and it had a perfect kick with the sour-sweet-funk punch of lime, fish sauce, rock sugar, probably some tamarind? It was fresh, cool and crunchy and a refreshing start to the meal. I had to try the Summer Breeze Rolls because I was actually first introduced to this restaurant by their stalls set up at various local farmers markets and the peanut sauce is out of this world, perfectly sweet and salty and a little curry spice kick as well. The rolls were wrapped a bit loose but I love that they grill the shrimp and also stuff mostly with lettuce instead of a ton of noodles so the rolls were more crisp than squish/starch. I got the panang curry medium and I think I could have gone a step up on heat but it was a nice mild burn that let the flavor of the sauce shine through. The veggies were crisp, the chicken tender, and I was happy with every bite. My father got the Lard Na 100 with crispy duck (a $10.50 upcharge but so worth it, so well cooked and crisp!) and loved it, just had no heat despite ordering it medium. I was impressed with the noodles - wide rice noodles but cooked firm so they didn't fall apart but had a delightful chew. The service was friendly, attentive, and super helpful with suggestions on heat level since we hadn't been before and didn't know if they pulled their punches (they don't, so start at a level below what you usually get elsewhere). We're now on a quest to eat our way through the menu!

Tonight we had the "winter pockets" (crab rangoon) and chicken pad Thai. The pockets were a lot smaller than they were a few months ago. Taste was good. Probably wouldn't order them again. Chicken pad Thai did not have peanuts or bean sprouts ?? This seemed odd to us. It was not the best pad Thai we have ever had. It wasn't the worst either. I ordered medium spicy and the food as not spicy at all. Overall, we were disappointed. Next time we will probably try a different restaurant.

If you're ever in Port Orange and looking for an incredible, authentic Korean barbecue experience,…read moreI highly recommend Hanwoo. I was blown away by how good the food was. While I didn't do the all-you-can-eat option, I ordered the Chef's Special Prime Hanger Steak, and it was unbelievably tender--so tender it practically melted in my mouth. It came with three flavorful dipping sauces that complemented the meat perfectly. The meal also included a variety of fresh and authentic banchan (Korean side dishes). As a Korean, I can appreciate good banchan, especially since both my mom and sister are amazing cooks. Hanwoo definitely delivered on authenticity and quality. I was fortunate enough to try both of their soups--a rich beef broth soup and a flavorful kimchi soup. Both were outstanding and packed with traditional Korean flavor. The service was exceptional. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, and I even got to speak a little Korean with him, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and feels brand new. It truly captures the warmth and tradition of Korean dining. I highly, highly recommend Hanwoo. In fact, I already need to call my parents because we're definitely coming here for Korean barbecue. If you're anywhere near Port Orange, do yourself a favor and give this place a try--you won't believe how good it is.

The pricing was $40/person for unlimited food. For appetizers we got gyoza, tuna takaki, and fried lemon salmon, all of which were good but I personally loved the fried salmon! For the meats, we tried several, I'll list them in order of favorites: 1. Beef Bulgolgi, this one was absolutely by far the best for flavor and tenderness, definitely get this one! 2. The hanger steak, it had a nice flavor and tenderness and felt and tasted like nice quality meat. 3. Garlic butter shrimp 4. Lamb, we personally love lamb and again the quality was very noticeable and thus the flavor was delicious, but it's still lamb so if you don't like game meat, skip it. 5. Tuna 6. NY strip 7. Pork belly. The ramen noodles are absolutely amazing. They're so good they need their own commentary on them. We could have eaten a huge vat of them if our bellies allowed. Highly recommend! Also at the end of the meal they provide complimentary ice cream pops, very reminiscent of mochi but obviously different. The staff are so hospitable and attentive and they clearly have good team work. Everyone was hustling but any server that passed would bus our extra dishes, adjust the flame temp, pick up a toy my toddler dropped, etc. Our server Lee was so kind and genuine. He was attentive without being overbearing. Even though it was a nicer restaurant and our toddler was toddler-ing, the staff was so kind and didn't make us feel unwelcome. The attention to detail in service, decor, and food flavor/quality were all so high quality that it made me nostalgic for how restaurants *used* to be many years ago.... But this one doesn't judge themselves against the lower quality of others. I can't recommend enough and I would absolutely go here again!
