This use to be our go to place anyway time there was a special occasion and yesterday was our anniversary so this was the obvious choice. I've always made reservations here and never had an issue until yesterday. Our reservation was for 7:45 and we got there at 7:30. They hadn't even started seating reservations at 7:00. They kept telling people only two tables ahead of them, but that was a lie. I don't see what the point of having reservations if they're just going to overbook them. We decided to leave after 30 minutes because we could see that hardly any meat was going around, so I'm sure that was why people weren't leaving. While we waited we only saw 10 servers with meat in a 30 minute timeframe. We will probably never return to this location since we were able to find another Brazilian Steakhouse on the other side of legacy that was much better. read more

Came to Fogo for the first time at this location in mid 2022 but just got a chance to write the review. It was an "okay" experience. Was expecting an excellent experience but it was not. Serving was lite on the steak. Not sure because we came in after 1 pm or not. The servers was serving more chicken and pork and then steak came last at the end. This is too obvious cost cutting strategy pass on consumer. I initially expected the cut of meats to be better quality for the price I paid. Well, The salad bar was great! The servers keep coming back for the bread ( many times! And it was cold bread. I think the price was a little too expensive for this time but atmosphere was worth it! Not sure about returning back yet! My overall perception of the restaurant do not meet my initial expectations. read more

My boyfriend and I went to this location recently and didn't have a pleasant experience. The waiter kept asking us to buy shots over and over again which was irritating but not the real issue. We tipped the recommended amount for our bill and find out a few days later they had charged us a 100% tip of 300 dollars. I don't see how something like this could be mistaken as our bill was fairly small. read more

Service from the waitress was great. The buffet area had a variety of options and I thought quite a few options were delicious. The mashed potatoes were tasty and a great combo with the variety of options of meat, which I think the pork and lamb stew the best. read more

Stellar service and food. Menu includes meats galore as well as a lighter but heavily optioned Mediterranean bar. I have been to a number of Brazilian steakhouses across the country, and I was looking forward to a nice Christmas Eve dinner with my family here. Unfortunately, we left mostly disappointed. The food was solid but not superior to other options around Austin such as SP and Estancia. It was the service which was most lacking. Multiple requests went unheeded. When I ordered a glass of wine, I waited for 30 minutes with no sign of the drink. When I asked, there was more delay, and the server provided an odd explanation that they were having difficulty opening the bottle. That makes no sense for a restaurant with multiple bartenders and bottles of the same wine. A more sophisticated establishment would have comped the glass. My wife asked multiple times for more popovers, but they never arrived. The steak was tasty but there are better options in town. Our experience was not worth the price. read more

Came here to celebrate my 2 year wedding anniversary with my husband. Let's just say I love taking pictures to capture at least a few memories, BUT I did not remember to take my phone out once. I was soo happily overwhelmed with the experience. As soon as we arrived we checked in on time for our reservation. Once we sat down a server came up to us and was so sweet! He asked if it was our first time and since it was, he immediately made menu recommendations and explained it thoroughly. Fogo has gone down hill. The last three times I've been here, the meat is so salty and dry. The meat is over cooked and loaded with salt. You are getting quantity but not quality. Skip Fogo and go to a steakhouse. read more

The service is always spectacular at Fogo. The legacy west location is my favorite location I've been to. This is the perfect place to go for a celebration and you can always count on high quality meats. My dad loves the lamb chops and ribeye. The reason I'm rating this restaurant so low is due to the misinformation given when making our reservation. We were well aware of the fact that this restaurant is pricey and chose to book our reservation for lunch. We did that not only for the price but also the large amount of food served...we had the rest of the day to walk it off! We booked our reservation for 2 PM and stated we would be a party of five people for lunch. When we arrived we were promptly seated and the dinner menu was handed to us. When we told the server she had given us the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu, she laughed and said lunch is over and dinner is being served. We were shocked and explained we thought dinner started at 4 PM when they opened for dinner. She said no dinner is being served now do you want to stay or are you going to leave (she was not rude). We took a few moments to discuss it and decided to stay. Big mistake! Firstly, the salad bar was absolutely awesome and you have to be careful not to fill up on it. The servers come with an array of meats offered, some good, some delicious and some just awful. You have to learn which ones you'd like a little slice of and avoid the ones that are just fillers. All in all, who can eat that much meat! It's great to experience at one time, but unless you can eat copious amount of meat..it's a waste of money. Our bill came to $450 and I really don't feel like it was worth it because we just didn't eat that much. As I said the salad bar was awesome, the meat for the most part was good and the drinks were just average. We won't be going back there because I feel it was a complete sham, they did not tell us when we made the reservation it was dinner. Nobody likes to feel like they were cheated. Just so you know, Lunch ends at noon and although they do not post it ...dinner begins there after. Looking at the website it looks like dinner begins at 4 PM but that is completely incorrect so be very careful if you go to this place. read more
