We had an an incredible meal. We hadn't been back in a while as the menu was stale. We sat and Chris our server ( ask for him) laid out the changes to the menu and made great suggestions. We tried the kung pao shrimp and lobster tots. Over the top, bursting with flavor. Great additions to the menu. He suggested the mashed sweet potatoes with our steak. Loved it. Been to fox hole many times and have not been disappointed yet. Some friends and I went on Wednesday night, which is half-price bottle night for a good selection of their wines. Dinner was great, we ordered a variety of dishes, including flatbread and oysters. The oysters were very fresh and tasty. I have a gluten intolerance, and they have gluten-free flatbread and the Chauvinist Pig was very good. Our waiter was great and took care of us, and we will definitely go back again. read more

I absolutely love brunch here. They generally play live music on Sundays so the atmosphere is great. High quality food. The eggs Benedict is incredible. Great selection of tasty food at a good price point. We went for brunch and ordered the breakfast burrito and the venison Benedict off the brunch menu and the house made burger from the normal menu. Have always seen this place but never tried it till now. I've been missing out!! We were looking for a place to have a good drink after our movie. My lemon drop martini was EXCELLENT!!! We have our FAV haunts - weekly Thelma + Louise get-togethers. This was our first visit to Foxhole and it has been immediately added to our roster - plug into our Sunday's! Our haunts - we prefer to sit at the bar - order a variety of interesting small plates and we worship the "grape" Merlot (oh no not the Merlot?) The Foxhole menu is eclectic, super creative spice profiles, ingredients, fresh and fun. Our bartender Liz, fast friend/great gal and she knows her Foxhole food/beverage as she was a longtime (years) customer, prior to joining the tavern team just a few months ago. Can't say enough good things about Foxhole. As someone who's spent over a decade working in hospitality and the food/bar industry? I have a super high bar of what I consider "10/10." I'm also a big foodie and dine out often. From hole-in-the-walls to Gastropubs to high-end restaurants. Of all cuisines. From burgers and wings to sushi to duck a l'orange. Overall value is my biggest gauge though. Best "bang for your buck." On a fairly busy Thursday night football of Dallas vs Tampa Bay, when they were short staffed, I sat at the bar. I was a bit worried when looking through all the pictures because they just seemed too good to be true. I can gladly say I was wrong. The food was great and the service was very attentive. My Fiancé and I came here to celebrate the purchase of our first home and we ordered the ceviche, lobster mac and brownie dessert. 1) The ceviche was incredible. Not only was it filled with wonderful flavors, it was an huge portion for ceviche standards. The chips perfectly peppered to add just the right kick. 2) The brownie dessert came with two good size chocolate brownies with ice cream and these dried berries. It was fantastic! My only recommendation would be to heat the brownies. They were cold which was a bit odd but definitely not bad. 3) The lobster mac had some good and bad things about it. The positive was that it had a ton of lobster which is tough to find these days. The downside was that it just didn't have enough texture or flavor. Not sure if it was cheese overload or something else but I would probably not choose it again. Overall we loved it and the menus had so many other items we want to try. read more

First time trying this gastropub in Lakeline area of Cedar Park. Was presently surprised at how good the food was. Started with the Shiner pretzel bites and jellyfish IPA beer. The pretzels were super moist and dipping in the Queso was divine. Next we shared a Chauvinist Pig flatbread which had a fantastic crispy bite to it - easily could have served as someone's main dish. I opted for one of each taco (4 total) as my main. Now, in Texas most presume tacos equals Tex-mex, however these were a great variety with steak, pork belly, chicken, and shrimp. Nope! Sticky and dirty menus, no paper towels in the bathroom, stale chips, bad tacos and ok service. We got there at 4:45 pm, before the rush and I would've rather given the manager Tyler my comments, but after 20 minutes of waiting, he was too busy to come over. I think this place sees traffic because of the location, not because of the food or service. The atmosphere is great and the food is priced high so you'd think you're going to have a pleasant experience. If you're looking for drinks, this is the place to go. If you're looking for decently priced food, good service and cleanliness, I'd recommend staying away from Foxhole. read more

I came in tonight (1/16/25) expecting to have a nice dinner, but I was given a poor attitude from the hostess when I asked for a table as a single diner. I was told to sit at either the bar or cocktail tables which were both full and wasn't given a wait time for an available table. Came on a Tuesday Night. They feature a special taco menu for Tuesday. Service & Ambience: Spaced out tables, and good service. Friendly Waiter. Easy To Park. Food: We definitely enjoyed the Quail app out of everything we tried, and it stuck out. Everything else was also good, but average. We ordered a flatbread, and a few tacos off the Taco Tuesday Menu. Nothing wrong with the dishes, but the flavor wasn't there for us. Drinks: Happy with the Happy Hour Margs to go with Taco Tuesday. $6. Their water glasses are extremely small. Me and my husband like trying new restaurants and this was one of the few left to try in the area. Pretty big disappointment. He had the chicken and rice dish, which had a pretty small piece of chicken- and the rice tasted like my northern mom made an attempt to season a souther dish. Sad. I had the house burger that I ordered medium well (as ground meat shouldn't be medium rare, my steak preference). It tasted burned, not charred in a good way. I didn't finish it and the leftovers were not worth reheating. The parm fries were ok. The kettle chips that came with the dip trio were stale and slightly soft. The queso doesn't come warm for some reason so that was weird. The guac wasn't even good, either. Pretty pricey for all that. Service wasn't very welcoming or helpful, but not the worst I've been to. The atmosphere was actually quite nice, despite the menus being in office-like plastic pockets that weren't that clean. Not going again. We ended up going for dessert (at another place) afterwards because we were still kinda hungry. read more

This place has the most amazing Brussel sprouts ever. Each season, they change it out on the menu. Sometimes, I just come here for the brussels sprouts. But the rest of their entrées are good as well. It helps if you make a reservation. read more

The food here is great, but unfortunately the service is horrible. The past two times I've gone I sat there with my wife with no recognition from any one, no water, nothing for a VERY long time. It's too bad because I love their venison meatloaf, but I have no intentions of returning. The first might be able to be chalked up to a bad night. Foxhole is serving up some seriously creative dishes! We visited on a Wednesday afternoon and had about a 30 minute wait. Neverthe less the wait was definitely worth it! Appetizers: we tried the deviled eggs along with the Parmesan herb steak fries. Bothe we're delicious! Entrée: since we weren't that famished after the giant appetizers we opted to share the Australian Lamb Shank. It truly reminded of a cozy winter day eating a warm meal by fire. The vegetables were crisp and the shank was fall off the bone goodness! I highly recommend Libations: I tried the fall in paradise cocktail. It tasted like a tropical but fall drink (hence the name) I don't know how they pulled it off but it was truly fall in paradise! We really enjoyed our server Chris, everything he recommended was fantastic. We had a white wine with bacon wrapped shrimp and the grits were perfect in it! We also had the birria grilled cheese and kids pepperoni flatbread, our baby loved the flatbread, he is so over only chicken tender options everywhere. Chris asked if it was our first visit by our questions and then informed us of all the specials for each night of the week as well as brunch. We will definitely be returning for half priced bottles wine Wednesday. I do think someone should be doing more on social media to give out that info. Brunch breakfast skillet is amazing. But we bought our kids some sliders. They brought them to our table in moldy bread. All the little sandwiches were in molded bread. We decided to celebrate a birthday at Foxhole last night and we were not disappointed! Our waitress was exceptional and had great recommendations. We ordered quite a few appetizers with our cocktails - Texas Trio, Crisped Brussel Sprouts, oysters and Smoked Seared Maple Duck all very delicious! I chose the shrimp and grits and it did not disappoint! The grits were so awesome and creamy I ordered a side to take home with my left overs. I know everyone enjoyed their choices! We were craving some new American and decided on Foxhole for dinner. Foxhole trio: interesting mix of dips with potato and tortilla chips. We thought the salsa was a little runny and lacked some flavor and heat, the guac and the jalapeño popper dips were alright but again could've done with an extra kick. Bbq flatbread: we loved this one, super crispy and tons of melted cheese. Definitely a crave able appetizer Wood fire grilled salmon: my choice for entree and I was extremely please with the cookery of the salmon. I definitely like it rare and they delivered. I absolutely hate it when my salmon is dry and this was anything but. The balsamic was a great sauce, maybe a little oily. Overall I really enjoyed this entree and would recommend it! I overall enjoyed my experience and would recommend try it if you have not yet. read more
