The unfortunate part is that they're fame from reality TV, and their expansion to other locations has gone to their heads. Things are never as good as they are with the first generation. My family and I have been coming to this business for almost 20 years. Every bite warrants the same expression that causes you to stop for a moment. "Mmmm." Every single dessert is perfection. If I'm in the area I love to stop in for a chocolate covered strawberry. Since we started coming here we have always gotten the chocolate mousse cake, which they have renamed to the chocolate Parisian cake. Be forewarned that it is VERY rich. Excellent! This was the best experience I've had ordering a cake from out of state. I haven't celebrated my brother's birthday - on the day - with him in decades due to our schedules. We were in Vegas for an event and I wanted to make this a memorable birthday. We have a running joke in our family and I wanted to turn that joke into cake form. They did exactly what I had hoped for and and turned my joke into reality. A local friend referred me to Freed's Bakery and they were 100% on point with what I was looking for. Even though I trusted my friend, when I saw all of Freed's amazing creations, I was hesitant to order such a simplistic cake. I reached out online describing what I was looking for (with a photo) and received a response within 24 hours from Kennedy. The process and communication was very easy and the end result was pure perfection. I had a last-minute minor adjustment and they were able to make it happen. Since my brother doesn't usually like cake, I tried to replicate his favorite candy, a Reese's peanut butter cup, on the inside. The chocolate cake was incredibly moist and the peanut butter mousse was out of this world. He LOVED the cake as did everyone who ate it. The buttercream was perfect textured and sweetness - not overly sweet with all of the other flavors. Since we had it delivered, Kennedy shared what needed to happen delivering to a hotel and the delivery time frames. They were on the early side of the delivery and the delivery person, Malcolm, was so friendly and ensured the cake arrived in perfect condition. What a great local Vegas bakery! I'm so happy I was recommended this place to order birthday cakes and other celebratory cakes. They have an easy online site to order from with pictures for every cake which makes it super easy. Just make sure you order in advance since some designs need at least 72 hours. I picked one of their newest decorations that is shown on their site. There are two lines when you enter the store - the right is for pre-orders and the left is their regular line. The pre-order line went by fairly quickly. I recommend to have your confirmation order on your phone to show them to make the process quicker. They'll bring your baked good out and ask you if everything looks okay. Once you confirm, they will package it up for you to take home Let me tell you... I did not have high expectations. I saw the picture of the cake I ordered online. In person, it completely blew me away. I loved all the details. It looked so much better than I imagined.
