Ambience is 5 stars. (Actually the only reason they're getting two stars is for the airplanes ) Who doesn't love sitting at the airport enjoying a meal, while watching all the airport activity? It's fun! However, there is more to having a restaurant then ambiance. You have to have service, food, cleanliness and this lacks in all of those. Service is sub par, which is a bummer cause they could do mega business here. Food is average diner style food. Nothing fancy. Appears to be a lot of ore cooked Sysco orders if you ask me. But the cleanliness is off the chain horrible. Add in the waitress handed my child a spoon with his thumb on the spoon part. Like her thumb in the spoon. Great location at the French Valley Airport. Have been there many times before. Breakfast yesterday with my wife. Lunch last Friday with my son. The breakfast menu on Sunday is different. I thought the basic bacon and eggs was just fine. My wife had a basic omelette which she liked. Parking is close and wide open. I'm sure I will be back. read more

I ordered a Patty Melt Sandwich cooked medium and this is what I got. Tiffany my waitress was horrible. She seated me and another couple took both of our orders came back with the other tables order they finished their meal and paid their bill and I still hadn't received my meal. When I finally did receive my meal I asked her for a side of ranch and barbecue sauce she came back started cleaning up the other table and forgot about my ranch and barbecue sauce. So when I finally got my sauces I asked for a box and the bill. Since she was talking forever on everything else. She forgot the box but brings me the bill. Another young lady brought me a box. Shortly after she comes back foe my payment and I hadn't filled it out yet. She's begins to tell me she's closing out and she needs to close out my order. We came in on Mother's Day and and if I'm being honest it was arguably one of the worst experiences at a diner in recent years my mother found a long hair in her food and when the manager came out she tried to blame us now mind you we didn't ask for anything We were just letting her know but she insisted on stating that we caused it. Great place with a bar to see the planes fly in and out , plus smoke'em if you got 'em outside patio

First time here, very impressed! It's pretty crowded on a Friday afternoon, but we got right in. Good atmosphere, small bar with televisions, nice big windows to watch the planes take off and land. Chris the bartender is great, friendly and attentive. We had the Cobb salad, which is huge and generous with toppings. The parmesan sourdough chicken sandwich (Travelaire) is amazing as well. The house cooked chips are delicious and still warm when they hit the table. The bloody Mary was super good, I only like certain bloody marys and this one was great. We'll be back for sure to try the chicken and waffles for breakfast. What a hidden gem!! read more

We had a great breakfast this morning at French Valley Cafe! We showed up right when they opened and were able to choose a booth by the window so my 20 month old could watch the planes. We were greeted immediately and had coffee on our table right away! Dana, our server, was great and extremely friendly. The other staff were very helpful and always checking on us for refills or anything else we might need. The food was very affordable and tasty too! My husband and I each had a breakfast burrito which was packed with bacon and hash browns - not just eggs, which was nice! My daughter had the kids pancake (in the shape of a puppy) with a sausage patty. She is an extremely picky eater and gobbled it right up! All in all we are so happy we found this spot! An awesome family breakfast for under $30 and the planes kept our daughter entertained. We will be back again to visit this little gem! Next time for some bottomless mimosas on a Sunday! read more

Would not recommend. Would give zero starts if I could. We were so disappointed with our experience here. We waited an hour and a half for food to arrive. (Multiple tables sat and ate before we had food delivered) Attempted to speak to the manager 2 different times, he did not listen to my complaint just talked over me Do not know how they expect to make any improvements without actually listening to the customer. Flew and and tried the cafe for the first time. The good: The food was fantastic and good size portions The staff was friendly The bad: It took 30 minutes to get our order taken It took another 30 minutes to get our food The real bad part is almost everyone of the staff have their noses hanging out of their mask. I saw multiple customers ask the server to cover her nose. She was polite and would cover it up but in less than a minute she had it pulled under her nose again. This little spot was recommended by friends so we went in expecting good things. A sullen young man took us to a booth with a squished french fry on the floor in front of it, and then carefully avoided the floor food as he walked away. Then an unfriendly waitress came to get our orders. She successfully took our orders and brought our food, but each interaction with her was cold and unpleasant. The food was hot and mostly pleasant though! Kind of heavy, stick to your ribs comfort food, but sometimes that's what you're looking for. Small menu, but good choices and good value. I can't see any reason to return, but if you go, look out for the fry that is probably still on the floor. read more

This is more of a locals restaurant. With such big restaurants and grand wineries in the area, it's nice to have hidden gems like French Valley Cafe. You will not find it fancy, but food and drinks are good, staff is friendly, and scenery is unique. read more

Good was amazing, about 15 minutes before we could be seated which was not bad but after we ordered it took almost an hour for our food. Took long but like I said food was delicious. If you go, be sure to ho before you're too hungry because it does not come out quickly. read more
