As a full pledged carnivore, coming back to Fresh Millions says a lot. I first tried out Fresh Millions when the whole office decided to eat lunch over there. I first tried their Steak warm salad and I was pretty impressed! A large is wholeheartedly big with ample morsels of steak and cheese. And even the steak meat on this salad gave is limelight to the greens and tangy bbq ranch sauce which was pretty good. Today, I had their Southwest BBQ Chicken. Oh dear, the steak salad here is just awful and very overpriced. I had 1 item added and it landed a total of $14 for a salad that was very sub par in flavor. The topping options with a protien for a salad is very limited, unlike the hotbowls. I don't understand how lettuce and a protien should be more than a hotbowl with a protien and many toppings. It's funny how when someone wants NO ONIONS on their food, the steak still winds up tasting of onions. Gee, I wonder how that happened. Maybe onions were still cooked with or near the meat?? I'll have to say I have an allergy to onions to ever get anyone to understand the effect of flavors mixing. But the grand reason for this review is the fact that the cook left the damn WAX PAPER from the cheese still on the cheese, which was on top of the steak. He got the $10 on his yelp account (had a bit of trouble figuring out where the discount itself could be accessed once bought, I think it ended up being under 'hot deals' if you've never gotten a deal like this before.) and we hopped in line. There were a few people eating there already but it wasn't crowded. We ended up both getting hot bowls, one meatball and one chicken. I chose noodles with sesame soy & chili sauce for my base with the meatballs and he chose tiki masala and spinach. The lady making the bowls was polite and it didn't take too long but both of our bowls had something we didn't ask for. His had green beans and mine had green pepper (which I hate and picked out) but other than that the bowls were really good. I think this could be a pretty big concern for people with allergies though so I guess make sure you clarify when your bowl is made! Love this place. Started initially at the San Ramon location when I worked down the street. I was in the mood for a salad but also something warm so I was thinking salad/soup combo. I was able to get a hot salad which may sound a little weird but for my craving and what I had in mind perfectly fit my idea of a perfect meal for the day. Tried this place for the very first time yesterday and got a Hot Chicken Bowl with Basil Pesto Sauce on Spinach and Pasta. Each order came with 4 mix-ins, and I chose double broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and mushroom. I didn't know how the restaurant worked, but after my order came out I learned that whatever mix-ins I got would be cooked together with the protein of my choice and tossed together with the base I chose (the spinach and pasta). Overall, it was pretty good and it was certainly a way to have a healthy meal as you could pick and choose what you wanted in your meal. The service was nice too, but not knowing how it worked since it was my first time, I took a bit of time selecting my mix-ins and it could tell the server was getting rather impatient.
