Went to Fu Kee for lunch today. I ordered shrimp fried rice and teriyaki chicken rice bowl. I paid $26 for these two items. The shrimp fried rice was $15 it only had four small pieces of shrimp. The teriyaki chicken bowl was not dressed with teriyaki sauce yet it had A small container that contained about 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce that's not enough to dress your rice and chicken and the chicken was completely dry. For the amount of money for two items you would expect a little bit more. So if you go there just beware. read more

Some of the dishes are misses and some are pretty decent. The sushi isn't the best, it's a bit mushy. My family likes to order some take-out from here on days where we get lazy to cook. Went here for lunch this past Monday w/ my hubby since we had to do a DMV run on the southside. Originally opted for Sweet Tomatoes but I was craving Chinese so we decided to give it a try. Be prepare for long wait and on the food. I was waiting almost around 45 minutes for a entree plate and it was rather pricey but I understand the location and overhead cost. As a guy who grew up in the area, but not in an Asian household, Fu Kee hit the right notes I was looking for in a Chinese/some fusion restaurant. It's certainly different than the majority of Cantonese or Mongolian styles found locally, so that's appreciated. Everything was fresh, the dim sum (even from DoorDash) comes hot and fresh. I'm not sure, but I think their noodles are made in-house, which many places don't do; the tofu and veg come in generous portions and their use of mushrooms are liberal. This is used to be my favorite spot!!! I loved the family package between my husband and I. We used to come often before Covid hit and were so excited to finally get back to it about two weeks ago on a Wednesday. First the person taking our order was helpful but she was wearing pajama pants. It just didn't seem very clean to be serving food in pajama pants, it was a little off putting. Then I was excited to order the family meal, I always ask for the potato beef and to sub out a chicken ( gladly paying up charge at any cost ) to get the chili chicken all for 35$ plus whatever up charge they choose. The cashier asked a owner/manager with short hair of that was ok, she came back and said no. I kindly looked at the lady and said please! I traveled over here from Saratoga and love the chili chicken I don't mind paying any up charge and she seemed to consider it like it was really up to her and she said no sorry. Bummed I said ok and ordered the orange chicken and potato beef. The food comes out the rice is cold (it's always been cold the last five years of going) the potato beef was delicious and hot as always. The orange chicken WAS TERRIBLE. I was shocked, it was cold, sticky with almost no flavor. I love all kinds of orange chicken and I travel everywhere for it and I kid you not Panda Express serves better orange chicken. the pot stickers were cold. We picked at our meal and just took it home. My issue is that the chili chicken on the menu is 10.99, if I'm willing to pay ANY up charge for chili chicken you would actually be making more money. Customer service sucks! Ordered a Chinese chicken salad. Lettuce was old and disgusting, didn't realize they didn't give me the dressing for the salad until I was home. I would give it a better review except when i went to go pick my order up the girl up front wasn't wearing a mask then left with a friend who was waiting for inside with a mask on only covering his mouth. When she left a different lady came out from the back where she wasn't wearing a mask but did put one on when she came our to the cash register area. I work near by and I have been to Fu Kee three times now. The food is overpriced (in terms of relative quality) and is mediocre at best. I tried a few of their dishes to give the restaurant an opportunity to change my opinion yet I was disappointed every time. The dishes I had featured meat with little to no flavor, lukewarm soups, noodles that were hard and undercooked, and a portion size that seems to be a redemption attempt for the poor quality of both the ingredients as well as the preparation (generous portion size, but I couldn't ever finish due to the lack of flavor). I tried to eat here three times too many, two stars in place of one due to the portion sizes and cost/calorie effectiveness. The Chinese food here is extremely good and it tasted fresh. Customer service is great! They are friendly and greet you when you walk in. When I usually come here , I usually order only the "Saigon Street Chow Fun." It's the best Chinese food I ever tasted. The food comes out hot and fast. In my "Saigon Street Chow Fun" it comes with Saigon Noodles, assorted vegetables, shrimp, and chicken. The food was extremely good and they make the best chicken I have ever tasted. The texture is soft and it had a flavor. They do allow you to have extra chicken for a small fee. I haven't tried any other dishes but I will come back soon to do so! read more

I don't really care for chinese food, sorry - I love indian, thai etc etc but just not chinese. But seeing a lot of people always here I decided, there must be something to this place. Walk in and it's a smaller place, fast food style with counter and about 8 tables. For sure it's clean and nice looking. The counter girl greeted me and as I looked up at the menu above the girl mentioned the lunch specials. So I chose a dish and thai iced tea - like $11. I got the food and well I went for the soup that came along with it. The most watery soup I've ever seen, nothing in it - really just broth. And then the broth didn't taste good - waste. Then I tried the fried rice - little flavor, hardly any veggies in it - eh, bland. Then I tried the main part which was chicken, seafood, shrimp and veggies sauteed/steamed I think - so soggy and in a weird sauce like stuff. I think I had 3 bites. The thai iced tea was ok, too sweet really - but $3. Um yeah. So what did I do? Threw it out, it was that bad. And I ate the rest of a bagel. 1.5 stars for it being clean, easily accessible, nice counter girl and decent thai iced tea - bleh. read more

I've been getting lunch take out since my company moved into the area years ago. Lunch specials come with hot and sour soup or egg drop soup, steamed or fried rice, and your choice of entrée. I recommend the potato beef, kung pao chicken, cashew chicken, and Mongolian beef. I've never dined in, but it does get crowded shortly before noon. There are about 10 tables indoors and 2 or 3 tables on the sidewalk. Parking is ample. I always call in my order. Food comes out a bit more slowly than some other establishments. If they say 10 minutes, give them 15. Knowing this, I can pay and walk out with my order. The service I receive for take out has always been very good.
