I was excited to see that there was a new shop opening up down the street from me. This is a nice concept of a cafe and a place to gather and play games. First time upon entering this place the service was good. The workers here are very polite and had a good sense of humor in the morning. Service with a smile. I ordered a matcha iced tea latte and husband ordered a queens lavender coffee and a a key lime tart. Both drinks were alright but the star was the key lime tart ! That alone is worth a visit! My matcha wasn't bad but where I was disappointed was the amount of ice that was served to me as I finished my drink in about three sips. That tells me I got served more ice than tea for what I paid for. Husband's coffee didn't have nearly as much ice that I did.. so I finished my drink sooner than he did. The game room looks cool. There are games that I haven't seen before and what is great is that you are allowed to bring your own games to play if you like. It's a chill hang out spot that I'm sure I'll visit again. I come here often to grab a drink or work inside. Food is good too! Nice ambience and pretty quiet inside during the day when people are working. They accept phone orders for pickup which helps me save time on the go. Only downside is that they have a bit of a strong food smell inside the coffee shop so it gets in your hair and clothes. Other than that, it's all good. Street parking and a small parking lot behind the building. Just don't take up all the space from groomers or liquor store spots. read more

We visited this spot for brunch this weekend. My husband loves to game, so I knew he'd love it. Staff was absolutely wonderful. We ordered the garlic grilled cheese, tomato bisque soup, two hot mochas, vanilla cupcake, and a breakfast sandwich. My husband and I both agreed that the mochas were the best mochas we have ever had. We enjoyed everything, but both agreed that we probably wouldn't reorder the tomato bisque. It was delicious, just not used to bisque being as thick as it was. The cupcake was moist and yummy. Overall our new favorite spot. We cannot wait to take our friends and son to game and eat breakfast/lunch. My husband who is an avid board game enthusiast approved of their selection. Wow! What an amazing addition to our community. To see this fun, spacious, and welcoming coffee shop open up is so exciting. Game N Ground is a 2 in 1. You get a very large shop with coffee in one section and a seating area with games in the other. This is the perfect place to hangout with friends or just go in and work. There is plenty enough seating to do either! I love that they really promote "interaction" and humans "sharing experiences" by providing games to play or to sell. How amazing! The staff is so friendly and just seems happy to be there. Can't wait to support and watch this business flourish! It's got a section dedicated to board games with an emphasis on fantasy role playing although all board games are sold/played there. Seating is ample and the place is fairly clean and airy and makes you wonder how this place ended up in chatsworth!! Anyway the drinks were fantastic (and are aptly named after fandom lol). However the service kind of sucked. We waited over 30 minutes for out drink orders. Maybe just a fluke visit. Will definitely come back. read more

Just had a terrific breakfast here. Such a neat concept with games you can play including competitive chess, and such, but the food here is amazing. We ordered banana Nutella crepes, breakfast burrito, pizza panini sandwich and two speciality coffees. Every item was amazingly delicious. The atmosphere here is so chill and relaxing and they also serve beers and wine, which we'll try very soon. We met the owner, George, who was so nice and informative. This is a great place to go hang out with friends and family. The staff are extremely helpful. Coffee drinks and snacks we had were delicious. We were curious about a few games and they quickly had them open on our table to test them out before purchase. Many people were sitting playing games and laughing. This place is awesome! Came here with my boyfriend and brother. We got the iced volteado (a better version of a caramel macchiato), iced dwarven milk (hazelnut milk with cinnamon), and a chai latte. All the drinks were delicious and very affordable. The best part was being able to borrow and play games while we enjoyed our drinks. There's a wide variety of games to choose from, which is great because if you like one then there's the option to buy it and take it home. I've been to this spot a couple times and every time I am blown away with how good the food and coffee is. I really didn't expect the grub to be amazing since the big draw seems to be the board game side of the business, but their coffee is the best around. I've tried their iced americano, turkey pesto panini, and french toast and they were all better than most cafes in the area (seriously really great stuff, whoever is preparing the food thank you for putting so much care in). The espresso tasted fresh and I really appreciate that as someone that does not like sweetener or milk. The only reason I took a star off is because the tables here usually look pretty dirty and do not look like they are cleaned more than once a day. If it wasn't for that gripe it would be 100% 5 stars. read more

Found this one of a kind gamer cafe and the staff were friendly and helpful. One of the owners approached me to ask if I needed help or had any questions since I was looking around at all the board games they have available. He gave me a quick rundown of what they offer and how he and his wife decided to open up the shop to provide a place for people to gather and play board games with drinks and food. They promote different board games every day/night. The place is pretty big. It's divided into a board game side and a coffee shop side. I loved this place from the very first time I went there, not long after they first opened... I like good coffee and chess, they have both. I try and go there on Tuesdays which is game board night. The food here is also very good! I have had a great experience every time I've gone there... Except for today. I rarely write a bad review but I think the owner should know... Not a huge thing but I think management and the owner should know. I usually get ice coffee on a hot day like today but instead opted for a beer. After having 1 beer I went to counter and asked for another. The women behind the counter asked me how many I had consumed and it kinda caught me off guard. I smiled and hoped she'd return a smile - but no.. I jokingly said "just 1/2 a beer, the other 1/2 evaporated." She look at me annoyed and somewhat sternly and said; "we don't serve half beers." I told her of course I was kidding, and added with a smile - "just one." She then sighed without even an attempt at a smile (obviously annoyed) and explained that there was a 2 drink maximum. I told her I would indeed just drink my minimum. I then ordered a quesadilla and went back to my computer work... I'm 63 years old and really appreciate a nice place like this in Chatsworth. I have also been a business owner in Chatsworth since 1993 and I know the importance of having my employees treating customers nicely -- and a smile goes a long way too! This young lady made me feel as if I was a derelict off the street coming in there to get drunk. I feel she could of handled things much differently... Today was not a good experience. The woman had very short hair and was wearing a red t-shirt, I don't know her name... BE NICE, BE KIND... This is kind of an update from the review I left a few months ago, but it's still just as awesome!! My husband are there at least once a week and we've tried almost everything on the menu! We have yet to be disappointed!!! The people are great, the food is delicious, and the teas and coffees are leagues above anything you can get at Starbucks or anywhere else for that matter. If you're needing a sweet pick-me-up, the Nutella and caramel shake with an added shot of espresso is the absolute best. No matter what you order, you'll be happy.
