Probably the best restaurant in the area. I've been here a couple times and everything I've tried has tasted authentic and amazing! My favorite dish so far is the A5 Wagyu Hot Pot. The tofu that comes with it is so silky and soft. The wagyu is also soft and melts in your mouth. Its also authentic and they have certificate posted right when you walk in. Didn't wanna go far from home so we checked out Ginza since we wanted sushi. Great vibe inside and pleasant service as well. Ordered a couple of rolls( The Toro, andI forgot the other one), a small Unadon, and some nigiri(Suzuki, Madai, and Chutoro). Rolls were tasty, as was all the nigiri. The Unadon was okay, not like they do in Japan though. Prices are justified...this is not an AYCE style sushi joint so you know the Quality of seafood is much better and tasty. read more

Weve been wanting to try this place since before they opened, time went by and saw the 5 star reviews, so we definitely had to come and see for ourselves. Long story short, the reviews are legit. We ordered alot of food and every single plate we had tasted great!!! The skewers, curry, sushi, sukiyaki, yakisoba, gindara (black miso cod), mango and strawberry crepe cakes all tasted great! Wife had a cocktail as well and she said it was just right. The setting was nice, the artwork on each wall/booth looked beautiful. Service was outstanding as well. Im just glad we can finally have some tasty Japanese food on the north side and not have to drive to China Town area. Our server was warm, welcoming and delightful. Made us feel welcome from the start. A large variety of rolls, but we opted for ones that we already knew and they were delicious. We got the Dragon and Lasagna roll. I love salmon and got the classic salmon roll. It was a bit lack luster. Next time I'll opt for the sashimi. I have been waiting a long time to check this place out. I must say Service was OUTSTANDING! From the moment we walked in to the time we left, service was on point! The ambiance was great since they placed us in the party room (we had a party of 6 with 2 babies) however if we were to be seated in the normal seating area, we probably would have been squished. The food was good, I want to go back though because I think I probably chose the wrong item. I should have gone with something that I am normally used to eating to get a standard rating. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food. I feel like I need to go back again when I can focus on tasting the flavors. I also would like to try the sushi. We visited on Saturday night, for dinner, with a party of four and it was a very good experience. We were seated right away in a spacious booth and the waiter stopped by and took orders. Their margaritas are tasty and tall. Two of us ordered the Omakaze, it was outstanding and almost too much food. The highlights were the sashimi/such platter and the Wagyu sukiyaki, We also ordered varied apps and entrees, the Lobster was also excellent. The service was very good. I have been here twice. My favorite things on the menu are the seared salmon belly, the lobster volcano roll, and the tuna, avocado appetizer. The environment is really cozy. 4.5. This is our first time trying this place on our Vegas trip. The food is fantastic. Their variety of dishes and atmosphere reminds me of the izakayas in Japan. You've got your steamed, fired, baked, charcoal skewers, raw fish, hot pots and house specialties. We tried a little bit of everything. The standout dishes for us were all of the skewers and the beef hot pot. The skewers were deliciously savory with the charcoal kiss. The beef hot pot was a unique tomato based beef stew made with rib finger meat. There was so much beef, we had had meat in every bite and some leftover! Spotted this place during my visit and had to give it a try while in the area. My cousin and I came in around 8PM for a girls night. We were greeted immediately after walking in. For a typical dinner rush, we were surprisingly seated promptly and even given the option to sit at the bar or a table. We treated ourselves to lots of tasty items all over the menu including: - Chicken Thigh Skewer - Pork Belly Skewer - Wagyu Beef Tongue Skewers - Crispy Fried Mushrooms - Tako Wasabi - Yellowtail & Scallion Maki - Salmon & Salmon Skin Signature Maki - hot sake - a few cocktails, but the Dragon Bottoms being the most memorable Out of our whole order, it started with a bang since skewers and fried mushrooms were the first to come. Genuine winners across the board, but the tenderness of the wagyu tongue was a standout. Definitely order the crispy mushrooms cause the portion size is perfect for sharing. Our yellowtail and tako wasabi were super refreshing, the octopus had a perfect kick and complimented the savory-ness of our other dishes. The signature salmon & salmon skin maki is an instant classic, providing a satisfying crunchy bite for each piece - I only wish the salmon slices on top were thicker. Cocktails were great, I'll have to come back and try the others since I had 2 dragon bottoms & hot sake to finish. A great new place in the Centennial area! I have visited twice and both times the service and food was awesome. The decor is really nice and has a great vibe. I love the bar area - big TV, plenty of seats and nice music jamming in the background. The servers, bartenders and staff - all amazing! Shoutout to Naomi, RJ, and Kim behind the bar! The food has great flavors and the menu is full of options from sushi to classic Japanese apps and dishes. To start, the garlic edamame was delicious. It came out nice and hot and the sauce was soooo good. They sauté the edamame in the sauce so it really absorbed the flavors. The Gyoza is really good. It's made Japanese style and was accompanied by a delicious sauce. They come out temperature hot - so good. The Beef Hot Pie is like comfort food. A rich flavorful gravy with pieces of tender beef. We got a side of white rice so we could put gravy on it. It has a pastry top that's baked on it. The gravy is thick so it's a shareable especially if you have apps. On a second visit we had the Braised Eggplant which has a sweet sauce with pork in it. I thought it was delicious! It doesn't come with rice so you can get a side of it. The other item not pictured is the garlic butter steak which was cooked perfectly medium. It is tender and has a great grill flavor. Lastly, the Strawberry Crepe dessert is delightful. It has several layers of crepe with strawberry cream in between. It's not too sweet which works great for me! All in all - Ginza is awesome! read more

We drove out to try this new Izakaya restaurant and were happy we went! Our server was very friendly, funny and sweet and our food was so oishii! Plus everything came out super fast so that was a huge plus. We had the truffle fries, fried calamari, hamachi kama, otoro & hamachi sashimi, tamago, oyako don, crispy salmon sushi & honey toast. Omg. Sooooo good I promise. Everything tasted great. We left with some extra sushi for our kids & their friends because we wanted to bring their excellence home to share. Ginza Izakaya Japanese Restaurant is located in the Centennial or what's known as North West Las Vegas. This restaurant only serves dinner and is small. They offer some booths that are well lit but if you are seated in the main dining area you might need the flash light on your phone to read the menu. You can order a la carte or do the multi course menu. Short Story - Some things SPECTACULAR and very good. One plate not so great Two plates awful Detailed longer Story - We started out by sharing the Chicken Karaage (Fried Chicken appetizer). It tasted unseasoned and floury and the dipping mayonnaise on the side didn't help. The Toro Nigiri was made with fish that seemed like what you would get at a better quality sushi restaurant that just melted in the mouth but the rice was loose and wet and fell apart. (I would suggest to visit Morimoto's Restaurant and try his sushi so they know how nigiri rice should be) The Hamachi Kama was a nice large portion for the price but was terribly over cooked to the point of stringy dry meat. I don't know how it was cooked but I would guess that someone microwaved it because it burnt my mouth when I tried to eat some and it stayed burning hot. The spicy tuna salad was very good. We also got a variety of skewers. The shiitake mushroom and shishito pepper skewers were outstanding and delicious. The pork belly was terribly dry. The SPECTACULAR BITE was the wagyu beef. WOW did it melt in the mouth and was something like what I'd only get at a high end place. This restaurant does have the potential to be really great but some of the cooks need to be trained better or need more experience. At the time of my visit this restaurant has been open around a month. read more

Loveddd the ambiance of Ginza! Dim and intimate but it does get loud. Limited seating. Loved the mixed drinks here, tropical but not too sweet/strong. Takoyaki was pretty good! White fish carpaccio was beautifully presented but we felt like it was missing some flavor. Their nigiri sets were such a good deal and fish was unexpectedly very fresh! We arrived a bit after 8pm and every table was taken and people were waiting to be seated. It's a small restaurant but we didn't have to wait more than five minutes. Our waitress was very welcoming I ordered a cucumber salad, miso soup and salmon rolls that were topped with lemon. That cucumber salad was so fresh it was delish I didn't care for the lemon on top of my rolls so I did take it off. Everything tasted so fresh and light. My husband loved his Nigeri - said it was some of the best he had ever had. As a matter of fact everyone said that. Miso soup was good too. Service was good. We'd waiting ***FOREVER*** for Ginza to open, excited to have another table service restaurant, where not many exist. The wait did not disappoint. The inside is quiet, intimate, crisp, and subdued...what I would expect to find in an "izakaya" in Japan (even though I've never been to Japan). The furnishings and decor were beautiful, and you can tell that a lot of thought went into the interior design. For appetizers, we ordered chicken karaage, gyoza, vegetable okonomiyaki, and chicken egg rolls. All were made to order and delicious. Okonomiyaki is something that few local Asian restaurants have, and this one was exceptional...cooked perfectly, with bonito flakes and okonomiyaki sauce on top. I ordered miso soup, and it was hot and delicious, with the standard tiny bits of tofu and pieces of kombu (kelp). For a main course, I blindly ordered the "Spicy Chicken" house special. It had a bit of kick, but wasn't overpowering. It's, basically, battered pieces of chicken, with toasted dry spices (a LOT of cumin seeds, sesame seeds, tiny bits of onion, tiny bits of what appeared to be possibly shishito peppers, and some sort of dried bits of red-colored peppers). I'm not sure if is supposed to have stir fried vegetables in it, but I requested mine without mushrooms or carrots. So, I'm not entirely sure if what I got should have had veggies, but it was pretty dry. That being said, I can't place any blame, since I ordered it, blindly. Next time, I'll get something more "standard", like a beef bowl or chicken yakisoba. For accompaniments, we ordered chicken fried rice and shrimp fried rice, both of which were outstanding...hot and flavorfull. We also ordered scallop skewers, which were tasty, but a bit small (which is typical, since izakayas traditionally serve "small bites", which are meant to pair with alcohol). Our server was friendly and attentive but, obviously, new (since we went after it had been open only a few days). She was very nice, though, and checked on any special requests we had. All in all, it was a wonderful experience (in particular, the appetizers), and I look forward to going back before word gets around that it has finally opened. LOL read more

This is the best Izakaya in the town. After this visit, I have to say--their chawanmushi is amazing. It's not just the flavor; the smooth, delicate texture feels like a warm hug, and the taste stays with you in the best way. The skewers are grilled just right: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with a little shichimi on top that makes the aroma pop. The grilled crimson prawn is especially impressive--honestly on par with some Michelin-level dishes. The magic is in how the prawn blends with the sauce, giving every bite rich layers of flavor. The Wagyu Shishinabe really shows the chef's skill. If the broth is too sweet, it hides the Wagyu's natural taste; too light, and the beef feels heavy. Here, it's perfectly balanced--the broth, the beef, and the seasoning all come together beautifully. Overall, Ginza Izakaya is one of those rare places where ingredients, technique, and seasoning are all in harmony. From yakitori to hot pot to dessert, every dish shows real care and craftsmanship. So the servers here are very nice, pleasant and helpful. Cute ambiance and plenty of parking. Now for the food. They have to seriously rethink some of the offerings. The sukiyaki noodle soup was in an odd location on the menu, not under soup or noodles and it came with rice. The steak and the eggplant dish came ala carte no rice. It should be the other way around. Flavor was ok though and cooked to order but it took forrrever to get the hot meals. Overall not bad. Just a few little tweaks and maybe a more slightly punchy flavor upgrade. All good. read more

Let me start by saying we did not try any rolls as we're currently not eating rice. The menu is loaded with rolls to choose from. Upon entering we were told someone would be right with us. As time ticked by a couple behind us excused themselves and pushed past us. When the hostess did greet us we asked for the bar and were told we could just help ourselves to the bar which is where that couple had gone. Once seated, Kim greeted us and offered us a complimentary garlic or salted edamame. She was awesome the entire time and super friendly. Cute little dining room, very clean, nothing funky here. I was disappointed the sushi bar was just a bar bar. The cooks are all behind a wall - Edamame was good. - Cucumber salad came and was presented nicely but lacked flavor except for on the top piece. - Next up was miso soup. It was hot and loaded with seaweed. It was good. - Next we tried the seared salmon from the sashimi menu. It came as nigri (over rice). This was an unpleasant surprise. But I just ate the fish and left the rice behind. Very fresh, this was an A+ - Sashimi 18pc came out. The tuna and salmon were great All the seafood was very fresh. - Wife tried the tempura shrimp. Felt it was a tad undercooked. Minor things... The ginger was the best I've had anywhere! No mints when you leave I think they have the potential to get a lot of 5* reviews. 4 from me given the lack of sashimi special dishes. Just plain fish is the only sashimi offering.
