This is one of my go to places during lunchtime. You basically fill your bowl(s) with meat,veggies, and noodles and their "chefs" will cook it on a round hot griddle. This is one of the restaurants where you can't really blame the cooks because you add your own ingredients and sauces. It is all you can eat so there's no need to squash your food down into the bowl(just get another bowl). Rice(if requested) is free if you want something other than noodles. Egg rolls and soft serve(vanilla only) are also part of their food arsenal. They are free as well. I really like their soft serve. Oddly I find it one of the better soft serves I had. We tried this and several other Mongolian BBQ places in the Santa Clara area when our office moved here from Mountain View. This place is definitely one of the better ones in the area. The veggie options are decent. They could add firm Tofu and eggs to supplement the existing spread. The meat options are plenty. The chilli paste is extremely spicy so watch out for that. The soft serve ice cream is super soft and really delicious. We usually go in groups of 5+ and the price tag of $10 is a good deal. read more

Went here for dinner around 8pm on a Thursday evening. There were about half a dozen other customers in the restaurant. I was seated quickly and beverages were brought out immediately (ice water and free hot tea). I was impressed by the newly remodeled, spacious interior and the cleanliness of the buffet and dining areas. The meat was kept very cold (frozen) and was sliced very neatly. Chicken, pork, beef and lamb are available at dinner. There are also shrimp and imitation crab meat available. The vegetables were fresh and sliced into good sized pieces, and there was a decent variety. They had my personal favorites, fresh broccoli and canned baby corn, so I was happy. Everything was kept in a chilled buffet stand with lots of ice, so I didn't have any big concerns about food safety. Service was pretty good. My water glass was refilled when needed. The buffet was monitored by the waiters and re-stocked regularly, and the cook at the big cooking disk was ready to cook your food when you were finished, and cleaned off the cooking surface after each person's meal was cooked. They also offer white rice and soft serve ice cream, which I enjoyed. The soup and egg rolls they offered were lackluster and I'd skip them in favor of more BBQ next time. Seems like dinner is a better time to go than lunch. For $2 more you get better service, more variety of meats and veggies, and no waiting for your food. read more

I love the idea of grilling and this place was pretty good. I enjoyed making my own bowl and giving it to the griller to prep. I've been here twice and both times were okay...until my brother found a hair in his food. Is the cook not required to wear a hair net of some sort? I think hair in food is the fastest way to ruin someone's appetite... Anyway. The food was okay. I mean...you choose what you want and you even do the sauces yourself, so even if the food comes out gross, all you have to blame is yourself. Haha. We were there for service with a fairly large group (10 or more people), the place was medium empty. All the food was very fresh and well-preserved (which is to say it didn't have the appearance of sitting out), the service of soup, rice and other sundries was fast and efficient. Hint: save yourself a buck or two on soda, they throw in chinese tea for free. I found the mini-egg-rolls a bit too oily for my own liking, and I'm of the impression they were pre-frozen and not rolled on-site (which is how it is with most chinese places, honestly). This place is like an express version of El Camino Mongolian BBQ. Less choices of meat, veggies, sauces, and non-bbq items, but at a discounted price. The egg noodles that they use here are very tasty and do not get soggy like at some other mongolian bbq places. I'll definately be back for more. read more

It's a good lunch place. It's nice and clean and the service is good. I think where it falls short are the sauces and marinade you can use. I've gone here about 4 times now and used various combinations and I can't geti t as good as I can make it at Genghis Khan or Su's. Overall good place. read more

Solid mongolian barbeque. Pick out what you want, have them stir it, and you're eating good solid stir fry in less than 10minutes after entering the restaurant. Price is great especially if you go for seconds, and the service is good. What more can I say? Definitely give it a try. read more

It's good! Need a faster line, and to redo their tables and chairs, freshen up the place, new glasses needed, they had some from the 70's, with the stained glass. Food is yummy, but you'll get sleepy after all those carbs. read more

Pretty standard Mongolian BBQ for the most part, but they have shrimp which most Mongolian BBQs don't have. Unlike a few places which shall remain un-named, this place is all you can eat. The layout is kind of awkward for the sauces, but it's otherwise pretty good. Very friendly staff. Oh, and the ice cream machine is waaaay off to the side so the people getting dessert don't get in the way of people getting stuff to cook and vice-versa. Defiantly a win there. read more

Worst Mongolian food I have ever had. We went there during peak dinner hours and the restaurant was totally unprepared for guests. The vegetables were all stale and discoloured. The meat was very raw and all the items were almost over.. Nobody tried coming and replacing the finished items although it was only 8.30pm. To add to all this, the service was bad. We asked for Coke without ice but our drink had plenty of ice. When we told the waiter to replace it, he just came, took a spoon and scooped out all the ice from our drink right in front of us.. We went to the plaza for something else but decided to give this place a try. I have been to a few other Mongolian BBQ places, despite they all very from each other in small ways but at the end of the day Mongolian BBQ should be pretty much the same, right? This place just proved me wrong. They put so much water in the food when they cook no matter what sauces you put into your food they come out taste pretty much the same, ie plain. In other place I was able to have tasty teriyaki, curry, soy sauce, and other flavored dishes but today my chicken, beef, pork all pretty much tasted the same. Other places I have been to had a few selections of pre-cooked food (fried chicken, soup, etc) but this place only has rice and some fried wonton wrap (yes, only the wrap not actual wonton). I had my first visit here last week, and I must say, I was impressed. This is one of those Mongolian BBQ places where the people are kind (you don't get the impression they'd rather not deal with you) and the rules aren't draconian. Use one or two bowls. Use as much sauce as you want. Mix and match as you please. Go through the line as many times as you want. The line doesn't take too long to get through and the flavors were exquisite. I had been craving Mongolian BBQ like this for a while, and it hit some notes that I had been missing from other area joints. I would have given 5 stars except that our drinks ran dry near the end of the meal and our waitress failed to return before we were done. Not a big deal, but when you're elbows deep in heavily-red-peppered stir fry a nice cold coke goes a long way. No worries, it was a busy lunch-rush and I'll still be back. read more

Extremely well priced all you can eat Mongolian BBQ!!! Love these guys been going here 2 years now and my kids ask for it by name. I can feed the entire family full for $30. Service is awesome and the servers know us so they even know what we like to drink and that we always want rice with our meal. Just went here for the first time and it was so yummy! Everything was nice and clean and the staff were nice as well. It's fun to take your bowl and fill it up with whatever you want and then watch the chef cook it right on front of you. I also saw him clean it - nice. I had pork and added lots of onions and mushroom, a ton of cilantro and some noodles. As for sauces, I used the teryaki, BBQ, and garlic sauce. It was fantastic! When I go to a restaurant, I look for cleanliness, friendliness, and tastiness. This place is a win. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go when I am really hungry. For dinner I love getting lamb because it not available during the lunch rush. For 10 dollars it is a great bargain. You can choose beef chicken pork or lamb and your veggies which are onions, corn, shrimp, fried tofu, mushrooms, green onions, cilantro, water chestnuts, bean sprouts broccoli, carrots, cabbage and also you can pick between 7 or 8 different sauces. My favorite is the sweet and sour with a dash of chili. I also like the curry or the teriyaki. You can add noodles or ask for rice. Then they cook it for you right on the wok! I love coming here a lot and I am going there again tomorrow! I highly recommend this place! read more

Good vegetable selection, meal comes with extra sides, worth the price. My husband and I came for lunch because the Vietnamese restaurant next door where we intended to eat was closed. From the outside you wouldn't expect greatness, but my experience proves that wrong. At lunch you get three meat choices- chicken, pork, and beef. If you come for dinner you also get shrimp and lamb (for a higher price). I enjoy more vegetables than meat and this place did not disappoint with the selection. There was cabbage, onions, bean sprouts, zucchini, broccoli, shredded carrots, imitation crab (unique), mushrooms, parsley, scallions and maybe five more that I can't remember. As with other places, there are sauce combination suggestions. I chose the Gobi sauce combo: 3 ladles of soy sauce, 2 of Gobi BBQ, 1 curry, and 1 cooking oil. I used scant ladlefuls and barely any oil to flavor my overflowing bowl. Yummy combination. My broccoli was still bland, but everything else was delicious. My husband made his own combination of garlic, soy sauce, and chili and enjoyed his very much too. Definitely recommend the Gobi sauce suggestion if you wouldn't rather create your own. In addition to the main buffet, you can also help yourself to eggrolls and soft serve ice cream. I was brought soup and offered steamed rice. The egg rolls had only cabbage and carrots and was greasy, nothing unexpected for a buffet. However, I actually enjoyed their plain egg roll. Definitely have had worse tasting egg rolls at other places using just as little filling. Didn't get the soft serve ice cream, but my husband did and thought it was better than average too. The price matches the meat selection. Lunch is $7.50 while dinner is $9.50. I don't eat enough Mongolian BBQ to be able to compare prices, but feel this place had a very good deal, at least for a big lunch. I look forward to taking out-of-town visitors here, that is if I don't come here again first! FYI, this place closes from 2:30-5p on Sundays.
