We were lucky as we went on New Years Eve day and could get seated right away but tried to go back New Years Day and there was a 35-45 minute wait so we passed. We were walking on the Strand and saw "Good Stuff" and said why not, let's see if it is. My wife loved her pumpkin pancakes and the cinnamon French toast delish and she liked it so much she stole some off my plate. As we said, we tried to go back but too busy, and we were told they don't take reservations. We will try it again next time in Hermosa. read more

Wanted to try this Breakfast place for a while. Good Stuff was crowded inside and outside seating. The wait was only 5 minutes long. We were seated inside on a very small table that wobble. I ordered 2eggs, Chicken Sausage with Fruit. When our food arrived the table was to small for our food. One thing to have a good waitress another to have one that patronizes you and fails to deliver customer service which was the issue here. Food was ok, typical breakfast menu nothing stands out. Had the chorizo chilaquiles and they were cold. We told the waitress and they put it in the microwave (I e asked and thankfully she was honest). I'm sorry but when it comes to pork we need to make sure the pork is cooked thoroughly. Also, Cinnamon roll was dry. It was a table on 7 of us and 4 plates were cold. For $20 a plate I'd like a fresh meal. The positive is that our waitress was very friendly. That's what made me give two stars instead of one. read more

Located near the corner of pch and avenue i, this location has a couple of outdoor areas in addition to eating inside. We sat outside so we could have Amy as our server. Amy is always on point, looking to see that drinks are filled, checking to see if you need anything and coordinating with her team to providing excellent service. Outside seating is inviting, food is freshly prepared and you never have to ask for anything. Amy makes sure your drinks are topped off, condiments are on the table with extra napkins as she greets regulars and remembers their preferences. I just love everything about this place--the food is consistently "good" which fully explains the name of the restaurant. But the service is what makes this place special. It's a family friendly restaurant with a kids menu if you're looking for a suitable spot for your little one. I tried the cinnamon roll, avocado bacon cheddar burger, and tuna melt sandwich. Food was all pretty good and what you expect at a diner. Service was friendly. I came for a late lunch around 3 PM on a Saturday so had no issue getting a table. The restaurant is always pretty busy and has a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. Good seems to come out fast and they have a large selection. The restaurant is casual and a great place to go to if you're by the riviera. I have tried the chilaquiles and a chicken wrap. The chilaquiles were okay, but I thought the chips were so soggy like they had been sitting in the salsa for a while and the serving portion was on the smaller size. The wraps and burgers are nice size and what you would expect for a bar type restaurant. read more

They do offer bottomless mimosas. They have a variety of cocktails and even nonalcoholic cocktails. For my meal, I have the poke cable which was delicious. They offer lunch items as well as traditional breakfast items. Overall, we had a great time and the weight staff was very nice.

The Machaca Scramble was the most flavorful and best tasting dish we had at our table as the corned beef hash and eggs were standard (not bad but nothing to Yelp rave about). By far the best part was the Bottomless Mimosas which are offered everyday, not just on the weekends! Big bonus! Our server was attentive and had a happy disposition. I felt Serendipity has so much great potential, between the decor, service and bottomless mimosas I'd imagine they would have more birthdays or group celebrations going on, especially for such a large space. But the vibe was a bit off with the low playing Spanish music, I would imagine if they had more pop music or upbeat music to fit the vibe of the place they'd have more of a fun vibe. Not that there is anything wrong with Spanish music, it just wasn't jiving with the vibe of the place and was so low and not so up beat (romantic Spanish ballads were playing). The laminated menus also gave an old diner vibe instead of trendy "serendipity" vibe. I'll still come back to see if they can match the vibe to the decor and try a few other menu items, but I do hope they up the ambiance. And get that extra star status!

Total disaster on Sunday 01.27. I went with 2 friends for breakfast at 1 pm. I ordered Hawaiian Pancakes with no coconut flakes, 2 eggs scrambled, and sausage. When the food arrived, the Pancakes tasted like apples, not pineapple, and my eggs were ice cold, as was my friend's eggs. We called a server over (not Salma our server). We told her about the taste of the Pancakes. She said they use "apple sauce"on top of the Pancakes with pineapple chunks. That sounded weird as that is not Hawaiian Pancakes. When we told her about our cold eggs, she asked us if we wanted fresh eggs or could they microwave the eggs. My friend said she wanted fresh eggs. I was disgusted by the pancakes, so I told her I didn't care. She could nuke them. The eggs were brought back, and the server left immediately. The eggs were hot, but mine had a black hair on the plate. I got up and went to the expo line to let the server know, but no one had a sense of urgency to take the plate away. A few minutes later, a guy came to the table. I had no idea who he was. As far as I was concerned, he seemed like a buss boy, not a manager. They took the plate away and made a fresh order. When the bill came, nothing was comped off. That was unbelievable! I manage a high-end restaurant in Beverly Hills, so I knew exactly how this situation should have been handled. I can guarantee you I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I like going to Good Stuff in ES and HB, but the staff and management certainly have no idea what they are doing or how to run a business properly. read more

Reliably tasty food with plenty of healthy choices! My favorites are the Thin Dish Spicy Ground Turkey Scramble which is egg whites scrambled with ground turkey, cilantro and jalapeños. The regular version is tasty too and comes with tortillas and hash browns. Always ask for their homemade extra salsa on the side cuz that makes the dish! Another favorite is the Cris's breakfast salad--ground turkey, scrambled eggs, salsa and other stuff on lettuce--first place I've ever had breakfast salad! It's delish--just need the salsa and you're good! If you can afford the carbs, ask for their daily muffins! They don't really advertise them but they're homemade daily and come in flavors like pineapple and strawberry or cantaloupe and remind me more of a cupcake then a muffin! Treat yo' self! At lunch or dinner, the zucchini fries are BOMB!! And their ranch is homemade too! So good! Gets busy at brunch time on the weekends so off hours are a sure way to not wait! read more

After waiting a while to give this place a second chance... I wish I didn't. I came here for a quick lunch, as there are a few vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the "southwest chicken salad" without chicken. I ordered this because it came with avocado, and what vegetarian doesn't LOVE avocado, right? Our food came and I was shocked. I was served a small bowl of lettuce, some cheese shreds, a few tomatoes, and certainly NO avocado. We bring this to the attention of our waitress, and she states there is an avocado shortage. Something you might have let someone know who ordered something with avocado? Right? Nope. Also, if a SALAD comes with salsa as a dressing (very strange) maybe also let customers know as most people usually like dressing on their salad? Ok so I have not been about to eat out lately, like everyone else...but when I get to go food I try to go to locally owned places to help them out. Last night we got Good Stuff from the Redondo beach location. They had no "protocol" set up, they were under staffed and crazy busy! We LOVE their food but come on, you can do better! I waited the 45 minutes before I went to pick it up like it said online them waited another 10 minutes once I got there only to find out my food had been sitting on the bar the whole time! Come here about once a week, usually for breakfast or post workout meal. My go to meal is the Mexican breakfast (I get it without jalapeños, yeah I'm that white) and add avocado, the food is delicious and it's healthy. What more can you possibly want? Having grown up in the South Bay, I have been to Good Stuff zillions of times. I love it. My favorite is the Southwest chicken salad (but I have them do it with their ground turkey instead of the chicken).
