Wooooowww! A pleasant surprise! I've always loved the mom and pop (although Groundwork coffee is a well established coffee brand) coffee houses in the NoHo Arts district! What a great idea to buy a historical building right next to the train station. Smart. Super cute. Damn good drinks- I'm enjoying a Vietnamese coffee and it taste LEGIT. Might have to skip out on my regular spots for a while and hit this up since it's walking distance from the park. I LOVE IT!!! read more

The Vietnamese coffee was recommended here and was great, and it's a beautiful venue, but they forgot about getting us our tea and then never made my breakfast wrap. It was good food. But service seemed overwhelmed. At the time they had only been open a couple weeks, so maybe they didn't anticipate the demand. But there was a long line and we were forgotten about twice. Hopefully that improves to the taste of the coffee! read more

I generally really like this place. The coffee is good and the food is good. The two stars is for their over priced food. It is waaaay too expensive. You used to get a fresh green side salad when you would order a sandwich but no more. And they have taken all their sandwiches except for egg sandwiches off the menu. They don't even give you a side salad with that anymore yet the price is still the same. I like this place but I don't like being taken advantage of. Plus you have to deal with all the creepers from the bus depot. Will go to Joe's coffee from now on right on lankershim. read more

Really good coffee and the most amazing housemade cashew milk! Their food items are all pretty good as well, although they changed their breakfast taco recipe and I really wish they would go back to the old one. My only issue with this place is that is keeps getting busier, so parking is an issue and the line can be long, but it is definitely worth the wait! read more

While coffee is a tad more pricy than your run-of-the-mill Coffee Bean or Starbucks, it is so worth it! It's organic and really good. Not to mention the atnoshere is amazing and location is perfect, literally steps away from the orange and red line and looks like a turn of the century train depot. Inside there is lots of space (and electric outlets ) to enjoy your coffee and work using their easily accessible wifi. There's also plenty of outdoor seating as well. And with the half industrial , half country farm house decor, you forget you're in the mists of suburban San Fernando Valley and feel as though you're some place Downtown. read more

Nice to have a local coffee shop with large outdoor seating area and some outlets inside to plug your device. Bring an extension cord if you can't get a seat near an outlet. Very friendly staff. Restrooms are a bit dirty though the coffeeshop is next to the bus station so you get a lot of transit users. No parking so you have to rely on metered street parking. I kind of feel bad giving this place only 2 stars because my drink was pretty good, but I am very big on customer service. I ordered a macchiato with caramel and cashew milk and judging by the reaction I got from the baristas, you would think making my drink was equivalent to performing brain surgery. I am lactose-intolerant and when the barista handed me a drink that I saw was made with Whole Milk I told her that I asked for cashew milk. She rolled her eyes and said, "that wasn't specified on the order so....". I told her I can't drink regular milk and I did in fact ask for cashew milk and she nastily responded with, "okay so do you want me to make you another one?" Like obviously I do if I paid for it and clearly can't drink the one you've made me. Then she has the nerve to tell me that they aren't starbucks (passive aggressive terms for calling me a basic b****). When I finally did get the drink I asked for after going back and forth with a nasty barista, it actually was a decent drink. Too bad I won't be going back because I'd rather not have to bicker with a barista that has no customer service etiquette. read more

This place is my favorite coffee house. The avocado toast is so delish and the Mexican mocha coffee. But when I went today they spicy coffee wasn't in the menu!? It's being discontinued!?!?!? I still got one since they are using the ingredients that are left. Please, don't discontinue this coffee! I actually go just for the coffee. No one else makes Mexican mocha. This place a good spot for a quick bite or pick me up snack. I'm giving it 4 stars because I want the original avocado toast which was small piece of bread. Last time I went the eggs was cold and was served with a different bread. Not a big fan of it. Please bring back the Mexican mocha too!!! My friend love this place mainly for that reason! Great, strong tea. I ordered the egg sandwich on gluten free bread; very tasty with a good side salad. Nice, chill vibe. Lots of seating so you can hang for a while without feeling crowded out. The only downside is the outside tables are really tall but the chairs don't match the hight... awkward! read more

My favorite breakfast place in NoHo. Groundwork's coffee is SO MUCH BETTER THAN STARBUCKS! Staff is friendly and food is yummy. FREE WiFi, outdoor seating, dog friendly! For me this is perfect. Highly recommend. Line can get long but it moves quickly. Order at counter and they bring to your table. I almost hesitate giving such a good review cause I don't want the line to get longer. :-) read more

OK, here's the deal. I frequent the Groundwork in Hollywood often, so I thought the NoHo location would be just as pleasant. WRONG. I have visited this location several times. Twice I've had to leave because it's SO FREAKING COLD. Not just a little cold for me. But enough for grown men to say "let's go somewhere else". I was going to write a review to mention just that, but then, another experience happened. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this company over the years. I came to this location, after a brief chat with my friends I was with, I set up my computer as my friends ordered. I switched places with them so they could watch my computer while I ordered and decided to myself *let me run to the restroom first* because I really had to go before I ordered. I asked for the restroom key and the employee says "restrooms are for customers only". Um...OK...you see my table has ordered and my intention was to order right when I got back. Still: "Yeah...it's for customers only..." I had to order before a quick restroom run. It put a damper on my experience and the experience of my friends. Obviously I was planning to set up shop to work and spend money. I'm not someone roaming the streets searching for a place to take a bath in the sink. So I ordered, then asked for the restroom key. Guess what? The restroom is out of order. And on top of that, it's still FREEZING inside. read more

Love the coffee. Don't love the sizes. But the coffee is amazing! I love this new location rights in the arts district because the only one I knew of before was in downtown. Staff is always friendly. They ran out of our normal order and graciously offered us an alternative at no cost. Wasn't expecting that at all but they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and the quality of coffee makes Starbucks taste like cheap dirt. No joke. Love love love this place! read more

Coffee is a known quantity from groundwork and the staff are friendly. The venue is cool too. Unfortunately there are LOTS of flies in the restaurant and the bathroom might be the opening to the gates of hell. I couldn't breathe from the stifling smell. Go to the bathroom before or after. Ignore flies. Finally, the food in the fridge isn't super fresh. Got some granola and the strawberries they put in made it all soggy and mushy. I asked for a fresh bowl and the poor barista went to the back only to be told they couldn't. Couldn't get fresh granola? Ooooook? It was 100% not the baristas fault and she felt terrible and was aware this was an asinine response as she asked if they could open a jar of the retain granola. She was told no again. I came here because I had a few hours to kill before a flight. I got a pour-over and the friendly barista recommended the Black Gold based on my tastes. Can't say a thing about the food, the service is somewhere between Burbank and Chandler ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but their version of Viet Iced Coffee is a refreshing non-authentic take that I can endorse more enthusiastically than the ones from Pho Noho or Mama Hong's Burbank. I believe they put almond milk instead of condensed, so its NOT sweet and "guilt-free." read more
