Bitches Brew Hash
Grace K.

I was waiting in line for a kbeauty event nearby and got hungry so I asked my bf to go get some food while he got come coffee that he needed. He sent me the menu and we both agreed that the Bitches Brew Hash seemed the easiest to eat in line and sounded most delicious! Instead of poached eggs we changed it to scrambled eggs (err on the side of caution to not get food poisoning). The bowl was so so good! There was plenty of sauce and the ratios were perfect! I would go back to Hollywood area just to eat this dish again.

Burrito Bite

One of the best coffee and breakfast spots in town! The breakfast burrito bite with tempeh bacon saves the day with my workday breakfast! And the honey latte with cinnamon does not miss. Let's support our beloved local ‍ inclusive coffee shops instead of that union-busting, soulless corp (you know the one).

Pumpkin Spice Latte w/ Oatmilk and banana bread

This little coffee shop is great. Was a quick walk from our hotel and the coffee was really smooth and had a great flavor. The banana bread was delicious and was a thick slice! The barista was sweet too!

Love this location! The location is always very clean and employees are friendly and helpful. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the vegan breakfast burrito (we are vegetarian). Personally I enjoyed the regular breakfast burrito more than the vegan burrito. But both were still very yummy! The total for two burritos and a coffee was $40, which is a bit pricey but that's LA! I was able to snatch a meter street parking spot but might be tricky to find street parking.

Cappuccino - 8 oz

Excellent service, friendly staff, good Latinx music, and delicious cappuccino with homemade cashew milk. The biggest challenge was that the groundworks wifi stopped working while I was taking a call! I tried to log on afterwards and unable to so had to take rest of the call by phone.

Hot matcha latte

Stopped by for a quick morning beverage. I got the hot matcha latte with almond milk, it was solid but nothing super exceptional. Very friendly staff and nice cozy interior that I'd come back for! The pastries and breakfast burrito caught my eye for next time.

Had to try the Horchata Cold Brew! Bf got an iced latte with agave & hemp milk

I love horchata so when I saw Horchata Cold Brew on the menu, I had to try it! It's premixed with almond milk, great for non-dairy consumers. It's pretty good but could be a little sweeter. The iced latte with agave & hemp milk was ok.

Fried egg sandwich

Got an iced americano and the fried egg sandwich - the bread was delicious and both items came out fast! Seating was also easy and it wasn't loud inside, even when there was a rush.

This is my go-to whenever I'm at my LA office or in the Hollywood area. I love Groundwork because: 1) they have a great loose leaf tea selection - and I do mean great! I like black tea, so usually go with Earl Grey or English Breakfast (I prefer the Earl Grey), but they have about a dozen available. 2) ample indoor seating 3) fresh squeezed orange juice! 4) they open at 7am!!! The staff are also very friendly. I have worked from here for short while, too, while waiting for my office to open -- the brick walls do look nice on Zoom meetings :) Great spot! 2022: 116/100

Vanilla Latte - 16 oz

Good spot to grab a cup of coffee in the heart of LA. Right across from the CNN building and steps away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it's in a great spot. Decent-sized menu with options. There are also pastries and hot foods like breakfast burritos.

Waiting for our drinks and burrito

Great drinks and service! We ordered the breakfast burrito which was great but man the salsas they give you to go with it are 10/10. Located on a corner and easy to find.

I ordered a matcha einspanner with oat milk (free, yay), but what I received was an incredibly grainy drink with low quality matcha. I have had this drink multiple times over the years (over delivery too, so I totally expected quality to be better when ordering in person), and I did notice the quality dropping with each order, but I would chalk it up to delivery taking a while. After today's visit, however, I've come to the conclusion that the quality has just dropped significantly, and it's not worth coming here to try their matcha. If you're just looking for a nice space to chill or get some work done, however, this might be the place for you - it seems like a cool place with a bit of seating, plus a photobooth in the back. Service is also fine. Since I only see myself coming for the matcha, I won't be coming back. There are countless better options in K-Town, many of which are just down the street. Adios Memorylook

Archives of Us has quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots lately…read more Tried the banana tiramisu cream latte and it really stood out , strong coffee flavor with a slight bitterness at the end, so it's not overly sweet. I asked for the cream to be cut in half, which made it feel more balanced. Definitely one of the better tiramisu style drinks I've had. Also got the banana cream matcha, which leans a bit sweeter because of the banana cream, but surprisingly works well. The matcha itself is smooth and consistent, and you can adjust the sweetness, which I always appreciate. The space is clean and spacious, great for hanging out or getting some work done. Parking is easy with a garage downstairs (they offer validation, about 30 minutes free), which is a plus for DTLA. Overall, a solid spot with well executed drinks , I'd come back.

Parking can be validated if you park in their parking garage on the opposite end of their building, not the one across the street (we didn't know which one until the worker told us) You take an elevator upstairs and the first thing that stood out to me was the aroma and the interior. It was really high end and looked very sleek. It looked really sleep and it was nice and cool inside as well. Their decor was minimalistic which I liked and it made the space look bigger. Multiple seating indoor and outdoor! My friend and I ordered 2 matcha einspanner's and their spicy miso carbonara. We got our drinks pretty quick but had to go up to ask about our food which was sitting at the counter but we could of easily missed hearing our name being called. The matcha was the perfect sweetness to me so I give it a high rating and the Carbonara was nice and creamy and included bacon bits but I didn't really taste any spice. The workers were really nice and sweet and helpful as well! This was one of the closer coffee spot with good reviews that I found near the kbbq place (Seogwan by Yellow Cow Kbbq) my family and I ate at for lunch. It was about 0.5miles (3 mins drive). The coffee shop is super large, bright, and has nice background music. There are plenty of seats for people to hang out or study. There are also street parking but can be difficult to cross the street due to cars driving by so quickly without a pedestrian crosswalk on one side. I ordered their signature drink which was the orange espresso tonic with one extra shot for my husband, and the double mango matcha for myself. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, especially the orange espresso tonic. It was refreshing, clean, and easy to drink. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted like premium, ceremonial matcha since it was stronger and authentic in taste. Overall, both drinks were enjoyable but if I had to choose one, I would go with the orange espresso tonic even though I love mango matcha!
