Added a salad this time. Delicious!

I went here after packing up ashes and sending them to my friends kids. See below if interested for explanation. This is a local business, so if I have a choice between a chain restaurant close by Grumpy's.... or Grumpy's I will pick local always. This business has not raised prices much during this last year. Good quality food, lot's of regulars, and everyone is so nice. I love how busy they are with people who clearly come here often, and the ambiance, service , and food bring people back. Love me some Grumpy's. Please support local businesses!!

Omg! So so good Pastrami sandwich with Buffalo fries - both sandwich and chips are on the salty side, just a tad, but yummy. Chicken Fried Steak - yummy. Perfectly fried and paired with yummy white gravy. Meatloaf- portion is small but delicious. So moist and flavorful. Loved the steamed vegetables. Our favorite diner in Tucson.

Love this place!!!!! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner any time is a great time go! Tuesdays are burger night and can be busy. Definitely worth it & waiting.

Popular local spot serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have lunch specials and some daily specials. Lindsey our waitress was so attentive and helpful and was a mover . The Western Birger was a good choice, perfectly grilled seasoned burger smothered with cheese, bacon , grilled onions and bbq sauce served with a side of crispy beer battered onion rings made the lunch complete. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the area.

Good food man. It's breakfast but it's actually good! The atmosphere is old Chicago lighting has a bar!! They have cute little Xmas trees everywhere right now. The eggs Benedict was great! Hollandaise sauce was great and the egg was perfect! Service was good and fast! Only complaint was the kids happy face pancake didn't have a happy face? It was a Mickey style pancake ? But that's okay my son was just looking forward to a face reveal lol. We will be back!! I found that this is one of the better breakfast spots over Baja cafe or Jerry bobs!

Chili Burger. Delicious. Huge portion - can easily feed two people. Fried are great too.

I finally made it to Grumpy's Restaurant, and honestly--I wish I hadn't waited so long. Living on Tucson's East Side, it's a bit of a drive, but after hearing so many glowing recommendations, I had to see what the buzz was about. It turns out Grumpy's has been quietly building a stellar reputation through years of hard work and consistency--and it shows. The food and service were outstanding. I'd heard great things about their chili and burgers, so I went with the open-face chili burger--and wow. It was absolutely delicious: hearty, flavorful, and generously portioned. Honestly, it could have fed two people easily. But the real standout? The wings. Phenomenal doesn't even begin to describe them. These might just be the best wings in Tucson--perfectly sized, with crispy skin, zero greasiness, and just the right amount of heat. Spicy enough to satisfy, but not so hot that you lose the flavor of the chicken. They alone are worth the drive. What really sets Grumpy's apart is its authentic, local vibe--the exact opposite of a big chain restaurant. There's no glitz here. No tablecloths, no fancy BS. This is where you go for great food. It's a genuine kind of place where regulars fill the tables and the staff recognizes them. The menu is full of no-nonsense American comfort food choices. I'm already planning my next visit--breakfast is on my list. Highly recommended.

We made it to Grumpy's twice while vacationing in Tucson, AZ. The first time was for breakfast. It was on a Sunday morning and the place was super busy. Grumpy's is located in a strip mall and the outside looks as if it's a store, but then you walk in and it's a really nice restaurant. The staff couldn't be nicer. Even with a number of people waiting, it was well organized and moved well. Our second time there was for an early dinner and it was just as nice. The food was good both time (forgot to take pictures).

Grumpy's is one of our go to spots. Close by and they have great food, it's very consistent. We also feel it's very affordable on the pocketbook. Service is amazing and we feel like there's very little turn over with the staff, there's always familiar smiles welcoming us. The restaurant is very clean and looks just like what you'd expect with a diner, comfortable booths too

I also love that the menu strives to be locally sourced. The food is very fresh! The service from the counter is fairly fast, which was especially great for us, as we were short on time. This time ordered the Simply Eggy Breakfast. The marmalade was unique and the eggs were perfectly poached. The portions are standard, so there will likely be no leftovers. For the portions though, I would say the price is a little on the higher end. To finish my friend got a tahini brownie on the way out and we found it to be very pleasant and not overly sweet. This is…read moreone of their two Tucson locations--the Campbell Avenue spot, with the other on Grant Road. It's a very casual place staffed by kind and welcoming students, and the food is genuinely good. The Smoked Salmon Beni stood out in the reviews, and it did not disappoint when I finally got to try it. I'll be attaching a photo, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I also noticed the shaved steak sandwich on the menu and in several Yelp photos, so I'll definitely have to come back and try that next. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and overall character of the place.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

(well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager.
