This is one of your options at steel craft aside from pizza, and tacos. Set your diet to the side unless you plan on filling up on water because your gonna shoot 2k calories into your system here. The best thing about the burgers is that they are loaded. If it wasn't for the wooden skewer, I'd be playing burger jenga with the Cali. Definitely filling and greasy. The trufflin fries were really good initially, but after 4-8 fries your left arm goes numb and your chest starts hurting. Just make sure to share these with your whole table......or not. The rest of my party agreed so we all ordered here and were soooo happy with the decision :) The Food: - Biscuits & Gravy (2 buttermilk biscuits, beef gravy & 2 fried eggs) - Biscuit Sandwich (buttermilk biscuit, spiced honey sauce, scrambled eggs, american cheese & ham) - Chez Burger & Waffle Fries (1/3lb beef patty, green leaf, tomato, thousand island, american cheese & red onion on potato bun) Everyone loved their dish; I had the Biscuits & Gravy (because I always have Biscuits & Gravy when it's on a menu!) and it was one of the best ever! It was well made- the burger patty was juicy, the pickles and sauce well place and the pastrami was crispy and warm. One recommendation: it's very salty with the sauce, pickles, patty, and pastrami. If we were judging just the fries, this place would easily get 5 stars! This was my first time going to Steelcraft. Of all the eateries there I decided on Hangry Belly after seeing someone at the bench next to us with what appeared to be their standard cheeseburger. And of all the other entrees enjoyed by people at the surrounding tables this one called out my name the loudest. I went with the Fire Belly Burger for $11. From the menu description, "Arugula, Tomato, Pickled Serrano & Thai Chilies, 1/2LB Beef Patty, American, Spicy Aioli, Potato Bun." I accompanied that with a side of fries for $4. I can tell you that up until now I haven't truly appreciated the sheer delight that a perfectly cooked burger can bring. When cooking burgers - and especially something as thick as a half pound patty - it can be so easy to slip up and end up with either a blackened hockey puck or something overly pink and undercooked that can still be heard mooing from the inside. Hangry Belly hits that sweet spot in the middle - they get it JUST RIGHT! Thoroughly cooked beef that brings great burger flavor but with a subtle pinkness on the inside to make it tender & juicy. The chilis-infused sauce complements that with a strong spicy kick that brings the heat but doesn't go too far that would incinerate your taste buds. Safe to say I was pleasantly surprised. My brother-in-law got the Messy Meat Eater which contained bacon and a piece of brisket. I might consider that in my next visit if I feel like going into full-blown carnivore mode. Since this is Steelcraft it tends to get crowded, so be prepared to face challenges with finding parking and a table to dine at. It does take time for the burger to be prepared so allow a bit of a wait. This is a staple when we all walk over to Steelcraft as a family. He gets the jammin' burger, but I like the turkey burger. It has a bunch of fresh ingredients, it's delicious, and I don't feel gross afterwards. Also, there's plenty of room for some fries or loaded chips.
