My favorites, aside from the soup dumpling, were the pork chop fried rice & the dry pot cauliflower. The wait though was long and no where really to wait. We joined the waitlist at 5:30pm thinking that was early enough and ended up waiting an hour. It's not the worst but watching the servers bus the tables and set up was a little painful. They are very slow. Since they just opened, hopefully it'll improve!

Ordered the potstickers, the spicy wontons, the beef noodle soup, and then jiajiang noodles. In order of preference, it is the spicy wontons, the jiajiang noodles, the potstickers, and then the beef noodle soup. What they got right with the spicy wontons was the sauce - spiced, kinda spicy, sour, and also sweet. I could use that sauce on everything. The jiajiang noodles was just a good combo of cool from the cucumbers and the noodles and minced meat were good. The beef noodle soup was fine but I think the soup could've packed a bigger punch. It felt almost watered down but I say the piece of beef were great. Overall, the meal came out to around $65 and it is pretty standard now but $13 for 8 wontons or 8 potstickers just feels a bit nuts still. Overall though, it was a solid meal and I'd recommend coming

Been here only a few times and yes if we went with others we have to send each other the right…read moreaddress as there's two mama Lu's on the same street! Just East vs West. We were able to find parking in the back and it was full so there's more parking underground. This place was pretty full, but given the capacity, the place had more ceiling space than seating place. We met family and friends while they already were in the middle of dinner and we came pretty late. Mama Lu's is known for their dumplings but they also serve Chinese dishes such as beef chow fun, roasted duck, fried fish fillet, and more. Staff were friendly, they were helpful and a wasn't hard to flag them down if we needed something. Overall, good place, would come again to try dumplings.

The fried fish was very good, crunchy a little bland but the seasons on the side worked out. The beef noodle is just classic, I feel like I eat this all the time at Chinese restaurants. The service was good, My grandma's friend apparently scoped out the place before hand and put her card down for the table. Sneaky sneaky, she put down one of the trickiest plays. The place has a very high ceiling, Spacious doesn't seem like it had a lot of tables, but it wasn't packed.

We come here for the low price wonton noodles, steamed spareribs on steamed rice, and the beef rice…read morenoodle rolls. We also order their HK style lemon iced tea. It's pretty good here and they have complimentary refills! They're known for their rice noodle rolls here and you can order them, along with their small dim sum menu, all day long. The wonton noodles here were just $13.98! They come with 5 large wontons and vegetables over wonton noodles. I always recommend adding chili oil. The steamed spareribs on steamed rice have some bones, just like the ones you find at dim sum. But there's a lot of meat in the steamed rice bowl for a single person. Free parking in rear parking lot. Entrance at the front on Garvey Ave. They have 2 entrances in front now. Left door for to-go orders and right door for dine-in.

The staff are great, communication wise, it was a good service. They don't hover around your table. They let you eat in peace then check back every now and then. We ordered several dishes and each and every one of them were tasty. We came before lunch hour so not sure how busy this place gets. Are we going back? Absolutely! This is on my list to go especially for a weekend out.

Came here for the Peking duck and left very satisfied with everything else we ordered too…read more Definitely call ahead about an hour before if you want to reserve your duck. The Peking duck lived up to the hype. I liked that they use pancakes instead of the buns, and building each bite with hoisin, green onion, cucumber, duck meat, and crispy skin gave a great mix of textures and flavors. The other dishes were solid too. The pea sprouts were fresh and loaded with garlicky flavor without being overpowering. The shrimp fried rice was probably one of the best value dishes we ordered at around $13 -- lots of shrimp mixed throughout and a great filler for the table. The honey walnut shrimp was unique because it came with melon, which added a refreshing touch. The shrimp itself was super crispy and I appreciated that it wasn't drowning in sauce or overly sweet. The French style beef was another standout -- packed with fresh peppers and the meat was incredibly tender. Overall, you really can't go wrong ordering here. Great spot if you're craving Peking duck and Chinese family-style dishes.

The Peking duck was excellent. The skin was thin and crispy, the meat was juicy, and I loved that…read morethey deboned the duck. The pancakes were thin and perfectly chewy. The sweet and sour pork was unfortunately a disaster. The pork was sliced paper-thin--so thin that it felt like I was mostly eating batter with barely any meat. I was also disappointed they took the sweet and sour fish off the menu because that dish was amazing a few months ago. The five-color noodles were light, clean, and refreshing. The pork elbow was delicious with a fun, tender texture. The fish maw soup was very good and comforting, though it could have used a little more seasoning. Other than that, it was delicious. The steamed sea bass with soy sauce was incredibly soft and fragrant--a definite must-order. The scallops with vermicelli noodles were another hit: fresh, clean flavors and perfectly cooked scallops. My only suggestion would be to cut the noodles, as they came in one big clump and were difficult to serve. We ordered the beef fried rice but were given lamb instead. It was a bit gamier than expected, but still tasty. The black fungus with tofu was also excellent--well seasoned and full of flavor. Overall, there were a few misses, but the Peking duck, sea bass, scallops, pork elbow, and black fungus with tofu made the meal worth coming back for.
