Most people I know, that have tried this place, like it a lot. I did too, until I saw what the workers do. This place is unsanitary. As my little family and I were sitting eating our food, I noticed multiple waiters and waitresses, wearing vinyl gloves, cleaning the tables with chemical spray, and then wiping the tables down with dirty rags. They then proceeded to serve and refill drinks to other customers wearing those same gloves used to clean tables and touch dirty rags. And I could see all of this from my table because where I was seated I could see into the back area where they worked. I've never gone back after this and probably never will. The food is decent for the price, I'll give them that, but who knows how sanitary it really is. I'm just glad we didn't get sick from eating it. read more

I was very excited to try this place, I took my daughter on a mommy and daughter date. Place was very clean, everything looked delicious. However, the food was very bland, and when it did have seasoning in the crab legs it was salty. They did t have a lot of kid options so that was a waste, the oysters were warm which made me worry if they have been out too long. The baked oysters were delicious as well as crawfish but everything else was not what I was expecting especially paying that much for a meal. For under $25pp on a weekend, it was a solid meal near Sacramento. Dishes are rotated frequently and a whole choose-your-own hibachi station. I skipped the sushi. Arrived around in an evening on a Friday night. I would have to say I was coming with family since the place that was here before called Chinese Buffet was one of our favorites. Hibachi Buffet was not that really good. Tbe service was fine. Although the environment was lively. However, the food was not convincing me. All the fried food was good. Although the fried rice and chow mein was not hot.. I tried out the seafood soup and it was super oily. I could only taste sesame oil from the broth. It was just not good. Also the oysters are not fully cooked. I have never spit out my food ever but this is a first. It's probably better when the time turns into dinner when the food is hot. But I reccommend not coming like 2-3 hours after it's dinner. The food isn't warm enough that when I grab my food and head back to my seat the food is already cold. read more

The discussions would centre on ageing parents and some relationship complexities, so I knew a venue with good food would somehow curtail the seriousness of the conversation. The Hibachi Buffet is a standout for anyone who loves genuinely tasty oriental fare. However, this restaurant takes it into another orbit. Picture an enormous set of buffets, with one for sushi alone, another for Chinese, and still another for Mongolian beef. The quality of this sushi may perhaps even rival that of the Kings Court Buffet aboard Queen Mary 2, which I also recall fondly. Having been here with the same friend and his parents a year before on another well-times visit, I was hooked. One can never leave hungry or unsatisfied from this buffet, whose full expanse I still have yet to enjoy. I came here a few weeks ago with friends with a recommendation from a friend lol. I arrive on a Sunday morning right before they open and my friend told me it was about $20 bucks on the weekend. I'm thinking ain't no way with the seafood options alone. I was leaning toward the price of $35-$40 but, Nope! My friend was right about the price $20 which is fantastic! Drinks are price additionally to the buffet price. The inside to me is like any other kind of buffet. It was clean and it is spacious inside and they have outdoor seating as well. I immediately go straight for the seafood. I'm not filling of on the nonsense lol. I got oysters, crawfish, shrimp, crab legs and shishimi. I also end to the fresh bar that had salads, jello and a huge variety of fresh fruit. I ended up getting the mango jello, honeydew, cantaloupe, kiwi and grapes. I went to the hibachi grill and got vermicelli noodles, shrimp, beef with onions, bell pepper, daikon, green onions, garlic, and cabbage with soy and teriyaki sauce. Dessert they have a variety of ice cream and sherbets. Everything I ate was delicious and I had no complaint about anything. I will definitely be back. My friend ended up having stomach issues, but I didn't so I will be back. It's so worth it. read more

The food is not bad, but the value is really really good. It was only $85 for my 3 kids and me and my wife for dinner. The only problem i have was how crowded it was. There was so many people you can barely make it to the restrooms. The line from the door to the front desk had , i am not joking maybe 70 people like sardines in there. It was hectic and felt more of an eat and hurry up and get out. They served crawfish boil which was interesting and not bad, i liked the clams and the crabs. Also the new york steak was not too chewy and seasoned okay. Our waiter was also very good and nice. The decoration of the restaurant was like an LA china town theme. My kids liked the dessert also. I've been here once before and now I for sure know I don't want to come back. I'd say about 80% of the items I tried I didn't like. I was sort of wincing the whole time. Lots of fried food is soft and not crunchy like it would be fresh such as calamari, gyoza, and toast which was soggy. The sushi is alright. Some are good, some are just so so. The veggies are good. This place was truly going to be a 5 star review. Service was awesome throughout our whole meal. Our server always checked up on us for drink refills and to clear tables. She was polite and always had a smile. We also never felt rushed to leave or finish up, in order to free up our table for all the waiting customers. Lots of choices for seafood and the "hibachi" part is basically Mongolian BBQ. The restaurant was clean and the buffet stayed stocked and fairly clean (less so when they got busy though). For a buffet, it wasn't as chaotic as some places (I'm looking at you, Fuji Sushi in Elk Grove!), but once it fills up, it stays busy and crowded. I had to downgrade to 1 star because I had stomach issues, while we were still there (and then some after we left)! There was a long line for the women's bathroom, so I know it wasn't just me! Based on the reviews I almost didn't go in but I knew I had to find things out for myself , we went on a busy Sunday a little after 1pm , our wait was no longer than 10 minutes , whenever the food was getting low employees weren't too far away to replenish the areas , it was clean and everyone was working very hard , they have lots of options but if you're allergic to anything I would not come down a lot of people mix the serving utensils with other dishes no matter how many times the employees exchange them . Came here for dinner last night. I was surprised when I saw how full their parking lot was and expected a wait. To my surprise, they still have quite a few tables available after we paid but that did not last too long after we were seated. I tried to sample a little bit of everything however I did not have any room left for their sushi. Most of their hot food were delicious and fresh. This is the best Chinese Buffet in the area. On weekends it can get packed. Line flowing out the door packed. Usually on weekdays though we get seated fairly quick. It offers all your classic buffet dishes along with a great selection of sushi and sashimi. The Mongolian station also has more items to choose from than other buffets. First time trying Hibachi due to strong Yelp reviews. Placed was packed for dinner on a Saturday so be prepared for 45 minute wait after lining up for 10 minutes to pay upfront. It's a good system as it likely minimizes issues with flagging down the hard working staff and allows the restaurant an extra turn or two on a busy day. Also minimizes dine and dash as it was a bit chaotic so hard to tell who is just getting more food vs. left the restaurant. The good. Most of the food that I tried was good and fresh. The kitchen was really churning it out for the hungry diners. Sushi was fine but the rolls a bit one note. Staff was quick to pick up dishes. Only misses to me were the two crab dishes. Looked good but the crab was mealy inside. Definitely not fresh. Also as others have noted, they added folding tables to the dining room to pack more people in. Don't expect fine dining but table next to us somehow kicked one of the legs out while leaving and the whole thing collapsed with plates and cups still on it. Yikes! 3-1/2 stars for the food but rounding down due to the cramp setting and general chaos. Expect a wait since it is a decent price for its quality of food! I came here on a friday night and there were a lot of people already waiting. We were told about 20 minutes and we were seated in about 30 minutes. It is a very clean large space so it can accommodate a lot of people. I did not like the fact that you have to pay first/decide what drinks you want ahead of time and they do give you a beeper as soon as you pay. It was about $22 per person. The buffet itself had a lot of food options such as sushi and hibachi grill that allows you to customize a dish. I did not get a chance for sashimi/nigiri as it was empty everytime I went to the sushi section. I like the seafood boil dish which had crawfish, corn and shrimp and got a few rounds. I did like the fact I saw that staff wiped everything down when a table was done, table and chairs included. Overall, I think it is a decent taste for the price and would be open to come back again in the future. read more

My biggest issue is that the food is lukewarm (as it usually was with the last owners). Some of the selections were good, but the high price doesn't reflect the quality. The chicken wings were large and very tasty, and the fried rice was very good. The chow mein was average as was the orange and kung pow chicken. The sushi section seemed to have a decent assortment, however I am not a fan of sushi other than shrimp nigiri, which had very little vinegar taste, if at all.
