Okay, so I've eaten at the one across the street from Oklahoma State, and the location at Plano I've eaten at several times. However, other than pizza and a few of the apps I've never eaten anything else off the menu. I've been several times to this location. In addition to the pizza, mushrooms, fried ravioli I've also tried the italian sandwich, the lasagna, and the wedge salad and probably a couple other things I can't remember. I can honestly say that everything I've had off the menu has been pretty much great stuff. This is my favorite pizza place for the last year or so. I've had no problems and would get any of the menu items I've tried again. So, there's that. But, and the Plano location has some issues with this as well, the service has gone down since the trainers have left. In Plano I'm usually there with others, and we sit in the dining area. Here, I usually go in by myself and sit at the bar...the bar mind you, where you have a bartender there mostly all the time. Every time I've sat at the bar, the bartenders usually aren't very, engaging? I've had them greet me, then just turn their back and ignore me for several minutes, until at some point they finally ask if I'd like something to drink, which of course I did when I sat down initially. First couple times I went in after they opened, there was a bartender who had transferred down from a location in Norman. This guy was on the ball, great service. But that's been about it. I've been there with several other different bartenders, and honestly, they seem like they have better things to do then wait on you, even if it means just standing there doing nothing. Couple of times I had them on my "five more minutes and I'm outta here" timer, but they've always beaten the clock. Usually once they finally wait on me the service gets better, but more than a few times I've had to flag them down verbally to get another drink, or a plate, or silverware, or napkins or whatever. So, four stars for the food, service is lacking, but damn the pizza is good. Worth the time dump...for now. read more

We recently tried this place for lunch. We sat at the large downstairs bar and shared a pizza, which was delicious. They have some really different choices than most pizza places. We branched out and tried the garlic sauce in place of red sauce and loved it. It's a neat place with neat decorations and two stories. Our first stop, we were already tired that day so we didn't go upstairs to check it out, but I bet it's neat too and we'll go back to see it and try more food. Seating a group of 23 was no issue on their upstairs area. Arrived at 6pm as reserved. We had to ask for someone to take our drink orders, now 7pm. At 7:30 we once again had to ask for someone to take our orders. The food arrived very separately by 8:30. I was finished with my pizza but others were still waiting. They knew well in advance we were coming. They never asked if anyone wanted refills. We had to walk up to the bar and ask for them. If it wasn't for the great pizza they would have received a 1. My first time ordering from Hideaway Pizza, I ordered a beginner salad which pretty decent side salad. I had the pepperoni pizza with the 3 types of pepperoni on it. The cupped pepperoni is hard to find in this area but Hideaway has. There was a lot of pepperoni on it. Plenty of cheese and sauce. Probably one of the top pizzas around. The upstairs patio is huge, we're very excited to check that out in the fall. We went upstairs to sit at the patio bar not having been there before, but the upstairs bar is in a small room not outside. Very cute & quaint though. We ended up sitting at the downstairs bar. We ordered the fried cheese ravioli as our appetizer and shared a custom pizza as our meal. The pizza was Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, feta, bacon, chicken & red onion. So this is like my fourth or fifth time eating here so I feel comfortable leaving a review now. One of the best restaurants in this area period, not just pizza. Every pizza I have received here has been high quality. The crust, cheese, toppings you can literally taste the higher quality as opposed to other pizzerias in the area. My wife and I have a thing where we do pizza every Friday. Since the first time we came here it's been spot on every time. But the thing that really blows me away is the service. I haven't dined in yet but as far as their curb side service it's great. Their staff is always busy but they are always cordial and polite and wanting to serve you. One night there was a little wait, which was completely understandable because it was packed, but a manager came out and offered me a drink and let me know my food should be out soon. So when I received my pizza I noticed it wasn't extra cheese like I ordered, it was very loud because it was so busy when I ordered the young lady didn't hear me. It was no problem pizza still looked great, the manager asked if I could wait he would cook me another like I wanted it, and he told me to keep the other pizza as well. I was trying to give it back but he wouldn't let me. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but I was just floored. This truly is an amazing place. I hope they keep it up and don't change anything they are doing. It's an amazing pizza place, and I'm lucky it's so close to my home. It's GOOD! We love it! We used to go to the Hideaway Pizza in McKinney all the time, so we're beyond excited they opened one out this way. The menu is loaded with pizza options and toppings--we did a make-your-own and one from the menu, and both were delicious. We also ordered a salad that came out a little late (it showed up with the pizza), but honestly, no big deal. It was opening weekend, the place was packed, and the servers were clearly hustling. We get it! Service was a little stretched, but that's to be expected when everyone's still finding their rhythm. We got invited to the VIP soft opening tonight at Hideaway Pizza. Our servers were Ryan and Tabitha, they were both very knowledgeable and super sweet. We started with the mozzarella sticks, which were hands down the best I have ever had!! We decided on pizza for dinner obviously. We got half the Sicilian and half Pepperonipalooza. It was fantastic! I have been twice during the soft open and this place is great. If you go from 4-7 it's half price drinks, all drinks, so i pitcher of beer is like $8 and a patron Margarita is $6. I have tried the xtreme pizza, the AtW and margarita. All were great but i would definitely go with the thin crust. Whole the drink prices are amazing and the food is great the staff is the stand out part. They are over staffed now but both time the waiter/waitress hilarious. They just opened so customer service is good since employees haven't gotten to comfortable. It's part of a mom and pop franchise that started in Oklahoma. The ambiance is a little eclectic and they know it doesn't make a lot of sense so they explain it on a little menu. The bar looked good but I was on my best behavior. The pizza... the one thing everyone and their momma think they know best. Im not any better, I do think I grade fairly. The thin crust isn't too thin, it's a solid thickness and filling. The marinera makes the pizza. Which says a lot. We got a build your own (cheaper and better than dominos) and the Sicilian. Simple recipes for the most part, there are always some where they throw too much on it like they're satisfying the potheads. Ours was right on the line. It was good dough and sauce and the topping simply only was a topping and not carrying the flavor of the dish. Which is ideal. Will be back. This is our second time doing a curbside order here. The first time everything was perfect. This time we didn't get any sauce, the wings were small and some missing meat, the wings had hardly any sauce on them, the pizza was good, but asked and paid for extra cheese and there wasn't extra. The food was not hot when we got it and when we got home it was hardly warm. I understand they were busy, but with all of this I am disappointed.
