Took my father here who is really picky with his fries and will be particular about his burger, and I could not agree more that this is the best burger fry combo we have ever had. The 6% fee is annoying sure but just see it and know that its slightly pricier than what the menu is. You pay for quality and the quality is given. Pastrami Heat is to kill for. I just had a double cheese "Wagyu" burgers. It was one of best burgers I've had. Perfectly cooked nice bun and not too much condiments. I didn't go in but this burger was fire. You will find HiHo as a casual stand on Pasadena's main street of Colorado, where it's sharing a space with the soon to be Matu cheesesteaks. I tried it for the first time last weekend and enjoyed their wagyu burgers tremendously. The proportion of the ingredients in the burger were just right and the flavors were on point! Their Matty sauce had a nice kick to it and you can tell their ranch is made fresh. Two points of feedback though - the burgers were slightly smaller than expected & they were already out of chicken options by 6 pm that evening :/ nonetheless, will come again when I'm in the mood for a fast casual burger! read more

I had the Big Matty burger just melts in your mouth and everything goes well together, also tried the Willie Mae fried chicken sandwich and by far my favorite chicken sandwich and if Willie Mae's fried chicken is that good. Loved everything about this place. Small menu done exceptionally well. My wife and I had a fussy baby and weren't able to pick up our order fresh. Shoutout to Rudy and the team, as they noticed this and actually refired the food so we could enjoy the meal fresh. My son and I came to try this place because he read that they had wagyu beef. When I looked into the restaurant more, I realized that all their meat is grass fed and finished anfrom New Zealand! I've been waiting for a grass fed burger place to come to Pasadena and am so excited that one is finally available. The burger was fantastic and juicy! The ambiance is super cute with open seating near the street so it feels like you're eating street side. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we got our burger very quickly! This place is massively overhyped. Calling it "one of the best burgers in California" is laughable. I'm a longtime homeowner in the South Lake District of Pasadena, and this spot opening near Old Town on Colorado is a disappointment. The burger and fries are mediocre at best and absolutely not worth the price. On top of that, they tack on an extra fee instead of just being honest and pricing the food accordingly. For the same money, you can go to Houston's Restaurant and get a far superior burger and fries--better quality, better flavor, better experience. Not even close. Locals will figure this place out quickly if they haven't already. The only people they'll keep pulling in are those who don't live here and are just following hype that isn't true. I hate to leave bad reviews but i want people to save their money because this $18 grease bomb was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. I ordered the Hiho Double and had to hold it with a napkin so all the grease wouldn't run down my arm while trying to eat it. I honestly feel disgusted with myself for putting that in my body. Somehow I thought it would start to taste better? There was so much hype on instagram, I truly expected something better... This place was just OK, nothing special and a bit overrated for the price being à la carte. I asked to sub the ketchup for their mattys sauce on the burger which they charged me 2$ with no mention and then gave me on the side after they forgot it. The fries are fresh but super greasy and half of my order was all little crispy oily bits that I had to return for another order. They also discretely charge you a fee on your order that they don't mention or advertise anywhere which is pretty shady. me and a friend of mine came in today to try this place out one of the things it's very noticeable about this restaurant is that it's not noticeable at all. You can easily walk by and not even know it existed there. Their signage isn't good enough to let you know there's a restaurant there windows are tinted. You can't even see inside the restaurant. I had to ask somebody to show me the way I walked right past it. I didn't even know it was actually there one came in the restaurant. It was a little bit. Dirty tables have not been wiped down. Customer Service was pretty good. We go to the chicken sandwiches. They're putting in a beer batter. They're pretty good fries are really good but for $45 for two burgers and two fries and two drinks I think that's a little extra price should be a lot less. I know it's studio city but I don't know man people have an idea of what a burger should be worth and then as a chicken sandwich chicken sandwiches shouldn't be more than eight bucks. It's not fine. That's for sure. They don't deliver the food to the table for you. You have to go pick it up and he's basically like the habit so if you're not gonna deliver food to my table, you're not gonna cater to me. Why should you be charging me a premium and if you're not gonna clean the tables down and then ranch is a dollar for like 2 ounces of ranch that's incredible.
