The place looked nice and spacious inside. I went during lunch. I was immediately seated but the staff just kept staring at my friend and I. We order our meals and it smelled and looked nice. I wish the restaurant had specified the spiciness in their dishes. Too spicy to eat. Food presentation was weak, and this was our first visit. Ordered dessert and that was not good at all. The Gulab Jamun was extremely hot and it was messy. We will definitely go back and try the main course meal instead of appetizers and dessert. read more

My second time here. Excellent service! And excellent Nepalese food! I finally got to try their chicken tikka masala and the naan. Both were soooo good. The chicken was tender, the sauce was perfectly spiced, and the naan is light, fluffy, chewy and crispy all at the same time. Amazing! LOVE THIS PLACE! We order the Chicken Momos, Palak Paneer, and Chicken Biryini, and Garlic Naan. Every single time the food is amazing and packed with flavor! The momos are their speciality, so be sure to order those when you go. All the dishes have a bit a heat, but so much flavor and spices. The naan is also memorable. It's got a bit of a toasted crust which makes it so much easier to pick up the food. We've been here about 5 times and there is a new manager, Pawal, who was so kind an attentive! The service in the past has been lacking, but we'll start going more often with Pawal in charge. This is a great Nepalese restaurant with a pleasant, cosy ambience in the Westgate Saratoga mall. The manager, Pavan is friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. The Momos we ordered were hot off the steamer and tasty, with two delicious sauces to go with them. The dal makhani and bhindi masala were also done to perfection. I tried Magic Masala for the first time yesterday and I really enjoyed my first Nepalese dining experience. The restaurant is clean and ordering food was really easy. Our choices of fried fish, samosa, and chicken khaja were promptly prepared and delivered to our table by the friendly restaurant manager Pawan. All the dishes were delicious with generous portions for me and my wife. Pawan gave us a brief explanation of Nepalese spices and sauces that gave our chicken and fish a uniquely delicious flavor. Overall, super delicious food, I recommend you get the 8 piece red chicken with rice and a salad. You won't regret it! I do wish there were more drink options though. The pani puri was tasty and a delight of flavors, but I was very disappointed in the chicken momos. The momo's weren't fully warm (that was bad), and the dumpling skin was too thick and hard to chew. We went to this restaurant for lunch today and we really loved it and we would definitely come here again!! The ambience is quite wonderful- elegantly decorated and quite cozy and welcoming. The knowledgeable waiter , Pavan, very clearly answered our questions regarding some of the dishes on the menu and also gave excellent recommendations!! We had the veg Momos and the Nepalese veg thali. The Naan in the Thali was perfect and the curries were also quite well balanced with all the spices!! They were not overly spicy or oily. Looks like there are a lot of great reviews, either paid or friends of the owner, so this one might stand out, but I don't care... just being honest. The service sucks... we had to go get my own menus after waiting for a while and realizing no one was going to bring them. Also, I had to go pay at the counter because the check wasn't coming. The food ranges from mediocre to bad. The vegetarian chowmein was over-boiled, didn't look stir-fried, veggies also tasted boiled, and it didn't have any flavor. They gave us some hot sauces on the side that partially salvaged the flavor. Chole bhature was meh... only one bhatura for ~$13 and just average flavored chole. The fried fish was too oily and also had no masala flavor. Also, the food is severely over-priced! The black napkins had white lint all over so we didn't use them, and the forks and spoons didn't look quite clean. In brief: this place definitely doesn't live up to its name: no masala and no magic, just over- priced servings of mediocre food. read more

Hidden Gem in Westgate Mall. I got the Tandoori Momo's which AFAIK is a very unique take on the Nepalese momos - delicious chicken dumplings. They put it in the Tandoor and crisp it up but it remains juicy on the inside. It was unique and fantastic. My wife ordered the Samosa Chaat: they squish the samosa and add some Chaat ingredients on top: Delicious! They've got Nepalese music videos going on the big screen which added substantially to our entertainment - it was a real trip seeing Nepalese women dancing like Indian women.
