    Pan Seared Halibut
    Cindy J.

Finally visited here for an intimate dinner, highly recommended!! I got the pan fried halibut over a white bean and kale broth/stew. Delicious! I couldn't eat the whole thing. Service was great, there was a large party so our server made sure to communicate with us about how long things would take, which was appreciated. Pricey but well worth it, great date night place.

Our realtor recommended and, yes, definitely recommend. They had a good menu, everything we tried was good. Our server was very helpful in helping us decide because... everything sounded delicious. I was intrigued with their spin on using Korean cuisine, but I ended up not ordering those dishes. However, I did find that some of the dishes on the menu were a bit overpriced. Otherwise, I'll be coming back to try more dishes on that menu! My burger was delicious, my husband liked his order. I wasn't super impressed by the apps, but the main dishes were good. :)

    (Blurry) blackened octopus

A cute little restaurant nestled away from the State Museum and State Capitol with plenty of food for those who like meat and seafood dishes. I found them while walking around the neighbourhood and thought I'd make a reservation for later in the evening so I could enjoy it. Here's what I got: - Blackened octopus: Roasted potatoes, red peppers, caramelised onion, capers, and blackened octopus. $16. This octopus was a tad overcooked for me but it was a hearty meal with plenty of octopus legs thrown in - three if I remember correctly. I'd like to try this again when I'm back as it was a good balance between the vegetables and the octopus, though I'd probably ask to forego the capers as they overpowered the dish and the bites they were in. - Deviled eggs: Three different types - pickled onion, truffle, and classic. $10. I love a good deviled egg and when I saw that they had three different options as an appetizer, I had to get it. There was so much filling and each one was delicious. My favourite was the truffle followed by the classic and then the pickled onion. It was served on top of a bed of rocket/arugula and that was a refreshing palate cleanser of sorts between bites or even a fresh inclusion with the bites. - Crusted goat cheese: Whipped goat cheese, asparagus spinach, truffle honey, and almonds. $13. You can't go wrong with goat cheese, and when you fry it? Simply divine! Get this. - Oxtail pierogies: With smoked tomato jam. $14. I was very intrigued by this dish because my Polish family has set a certain standard for pierogies, and the oxtail option was something I wanted to try out as I've never thought to have the two combined in any way before. The dish consists of traditional pierogies, with oxtail meat on top. To be honest, this wasn't my thing - I'd actually want this as two separate dishes - the oxtail didn't go with the pierogies at all; it would have been better served on top of a patty dough or even a paratha/buss-up/crispy cracker instead. Individually, the two were really good, wtih the pierogies being extremely light and fluffy inside, and just the right amount of crispy on the outside. The oxtail was braised (I think) and falling apart, so certainly very delicious every bite I had. - Grapefruit mocktail: Grapefruit with rosemary, agave, and seltzer. $6. My server who was also the bartender made this and although I would have appreciated much less ice, this was really good. I'd come back for this, but ask for light ask, and enjoy it with the goat cheese and deviled eggs - worth it! Service was fast, with food coming out as it was made - my server asked if I had a preference and I said as it was cooked, so if you want yours staggered, you can certainly ask for it. I sat inside, but they have limited outdoor seating in the front and more in the back, with bar seating available too. It's slightly dimly lit inside, but not so much that you're straining to see face or the food; and there was music playing, but nothing too loud where you couldn't carry a conversation if you wanted. Since it was just me, I was happy with everything. I can't speak for ease of parking since I walked here, but I did see a dedicated parking lot for them on the same block.

I was told this place had great food. The waiter told me the Pork Kan-Kan was a Porkchop. I've never seen a Porkchop shaped liked that. It was too fatty and flavorless. The Korean Ribs were good but it wasn't enough to share at all. The donuts were good but that's not enough for me to go back to this place.

Best espresso martini I've ever had! The food was great and fresh. The waitress helped me make a decision on what to get, she let me know a few popular dishes.

An amazing culinary experience!!!! We were in the area for a Hershey weekend and our 2 other picks did not have reservations and I am happy they didn't! This is a quaint little restaurant with amazing dishes. The decor was nice and the ambiance relaxing. Our server Kaitlyn 222 was sweet, attentive and really took great care of us. We ordered a few starters to sample and a couple of mains. There was another super nice server Lavon that made us aware their menu is seasonal so I will be back for sure!!! What we ordered: Lobster papa rellenas so full of lobster and a nice aioli to go with it. Wagyu meatballs with polenta was delicious. Grilled octopus with capers and veggies was divine. For mains we opted for the scallops on a bed of curry cauliflower purée that was scrumptious as well as the fresh made pasta. To complete the meal we did the home made trio of ice cream which was delicious. Oh and how can I forget their creative drinks we got the hot sweet little thing lol I know I screwed the name up but it was sooooooo good. Do yourself a pleasure and go! Enjoy! Oh yeah and the Brussels sprout Caesar salad is a must!!!

This restaurant is nothing short of incredible. Between the overly accommodating staff, that was willing and able to not only break down our bill into 5 separate checks for our group, but also offered to portion out appetizers into five servings AND unsolicitedly offered to divide the cost of the table's appetizers amongst the five checks, and the amazing food, this place gets five stars all around! Wish I could give six. We started with a few appetizers, specifically the lamb birria tacos, Korean boneless pork ribs, crab mac and cheese, and the blackened octopus. Paired them with an old fashioned for good measure, which was smoked and hit with a nice touch of amaretto. All of the apps were fantastic. Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd have to go with the crab mac and cheese. Most of the table ordered the smoked short rib as the main course, but one of our crew decided on the pork kan-kan, which he was gracious enough to offer me some of after it came out. It's a dish you'd be hard pressed to get anywhere else, so I'd highly recommend it on that point alone. If it's not your thing though, the short rib and its bed of grits were delightful. Ended the night with several different deserts, including the donuts, churro stacks with ice cream, mocha cheesecake, and crème brûlée. Couldn't go wrong with any of them. Well done!

Nice little spot in downtown Harrisburg. Ordered the deviled eggs and Brussel sprout Caesar. Deviled eggs were delicious, and came in three varieties: pickled, fried, traditional. Lots of filling, which itself was very light. Brussel sprout Caesar was possibly the best salad I've had. Brussel sprouts were a combination of shaved and sautéed. They were a great addition to a classic dish. Very very tasty. Service was friendly, but a bit slow and inattentive. This seemed to be isolated to my waiter however, as others who had my waiter had to get up to get his attention. Other waitstaff appeared to be very attentive to their guests and helpful on menu items. Overall, highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back. The food was perfect: grilled octopus and roasted vegetable board were very filling. We weren't too hungry so we got that and desserts. We loved loved loved the banana foster merengue but if you don't like merengue you may not like it bc there is a lot of merengue. The only reason why I gave the 4 is because there was a smell (almost like a barn odor). It didn't bother us enough to want to leave, but there definitely was an odor

Awesome experience. The vibe was very relaxing, and the staff seemed very genuine. The food here was probably some of the best food I've had around the area. They had a pasta with Béchamel and rabbit sausage... it was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the rabbit sausage caught me by surprise, it was incredibly flavorful. Can't wait to go back!

Naturally, I had already done my due diligence (read: stalked the menu for a full week) and had a game plan. At the top of my list? The deviled eggs and the Kale Caesar salad with salmon. The only problem...I absolutely did not need $40 worth of food for lunch. So I quietly spent the week putting "deviled egg energy" out into the Universe, hoping my lunch partner would suggest splitting them. Manifestation is real, people. I arrived around 12pm and found plenty of parking out back in Watershed's designated lot, which is clearly labeled--a good thing, because parking in that area looks like it could get competitive if you're not paying attention. We had made a 12:15pm reservation (Monday lunch felt safe, but why risk it?), and our table on the enclosed patio was ready when we arrived. It was the perfect setup--sunny and bright, but still warm enough to be comfortable on a chilly day. The vibe was great, and our server was even better--friendly, attentive, and consistently checking in without being overbearing. Then it was time to order. I let my lunch partner go first and waited... "Do you want to try the deviled eggs as an appetizer?" Are you kidding me?!. YES. Yes, I did! We ordered the deviled eggs ($11) to share, and I followed through with my Kale Caesar salad ($15) topped with seared salmon (+$13), officially completing my week-long menu-stalking mission. The deviled eggs came out FAST, and in my excitement, I completely forgot to take a picture--which tells you everything you need to know. Each egg was topped with a cube of candied bacon that absolutely stole the show. Sweet, savory, and just the right texture to complement the creamy filling. We made quick work of all four--excellent start to the meal! Not long after, our lunches arrived, and my salad? Gorgeous. Like, actually exciting to look at. I dug in immediately and it delivered. The mix of shaved brussels sprouts, kale, and romaine gave it great texture, the dressing was well-balanced, and the red onion didn't overpower the rest of the flavors. But my favorite part? The garlic parmesan crouton crumble. No chasing rogue croutons around the plate--just perfectly distributed crunch in every bite. Genius! The portion size was generous, too--I made it through about half before calling it and boxing the rest for dinner later. By the time we were wrapping up, the enclosed patio had filled up significantly, which tells me this is a popular lunch spot--and for good reason. The food is solid, the atmosphere is great, and the service was spot on. That said...$40 for deviled eggs, a salad and water is a bit steep for an everyday lunch. For me, this feels more like a "treat yourself," client meeting, or special occasion kind of place rather than a regular rotation spot. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I be casually popping in every week? Probably not. But those deviled eggs? Totally worth manifesting!

The Review: Men in the Kitchen…read more My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone. I am here to do a review!! It was a rainy Sunday, and I was working up a hunger while driving Uber for content. I went to three different spots before I finally found the place I should've gone to first. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are so good that I want to find another establishment just like it, but so far--at least on this day--nothing in the area can beat it. I don't know why I treat this restaurant like a good wife that a man might constantly cheat on but always returns to. I'm not saying that I actually cheat; I'm just using that for context! So, I found myself once again at Two Men in the Kitchen. Since it was Easter Sunday, they offered a buffet or a special limited menu. There was fish and chicken wings available, and I chose the wings. Since I don't eat meat often, I asked for their "House Sauce," and it is by far amazing. I paired the wings with the 3-cheese baked mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. I went for the sides first because I wanted to save the best for last--I already knew that house sauce was going to be incredible, especially on the chicken and greens eggrolls they have. The mac & cheese was great; it had a crunchy outside yet remained soft in the middle, and the cheese pull was amazing. The sweet potatoes were definitely homemade; I could tell because every slice was a different cut, which I appreciate because it proves they didn't come out of a can. Now for the best part: the chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly--neither overdone nor underdone, with no pink on the inside. Everything was pure. I did happen to taste a little bit of Old Bay on the wings, so I asked the chef if that was part of the secret seasoning. He said no, so maybe someone slipped some in by accident, but it didn't stop me from indulging. I also ordered one of their house special drinks--a Hennessy and rum cocktail. It was a very pretty drink, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of Hennessy. Personally, I think it tastes like house keys or licking a brass knob when you're a kid. On my scale, the drink was a 2 out of 5; I just don't think rum and cognac should mix, but that's just my opinion. The atmosphere was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I will definitely visit this place again and again, although sometimes it is hard to tell if they are open because of the heavily tinted windows. For those who know the area, this is the old firehouse in Harrisburg. I was told that on the weekends, they clear some tables to create a dance floor, which is a nice touch. There is plenty of bar seating and booths, making it a kid-friendly environment. The only thing I don't like--which applies to every restaurant on 2nd Street--is that it's very hard to find parking. You have to do it online, via text, and it won't allow you to purchase any time less than an hour. Kinda sucks for those carrying out. Totally not the restaurant's fault though. I got the jerk quesadilla without the jerk ranch sauce. They don't serve this or their regular quesadilla with salsa or pica de gallo so it does taste a little bland. The jerk flavor isn't coming thru for me. It's a little disappointing but it's also just a quesadilla so I don't expect much. I'm not deterred though. I'd be interested in trying more on the menu. It seemed like a cozy place to sit and eat. I'd also like to eat there on my next visit. I'll update my review when I do.

Second, I've known that all their beers are top notch, which is why I wanted to come here. I'm not an IPA guy, but the black IPA is some top notch stuff that anyone can appreciate. Not super hoppy, really well balanced. Blonde stout is another superb creation, Lancaster gets some depth into it that many other breweries can't manage. Third, if you want food, they learned from the Food Network and limited their menu to just a few choices, all excellently prepared. I ordered the Angry Mac with gator meat. It had excellent flavor, they made it spicier like I asked, and unlike most places they provided plenty of meat. Great quantity and great taste that I wasn't expecting. My waitress (Danyell) immediately took my order of shrimp cocktail and the prime rib special. The food is where the experience soured. The shrimp cocktail (6 pieces) was cooked well and arrived chilled. The issue I had was with the garlic aeoli, cocktail sauce, and old bay seasoning dust that was generously sprinkled on top of the shrimp. Both sauces were under seasoned and the dry old bay seasoning added an odd texture and taste that detracted from th flavor of the shrimp cocktail. The prime rib was extremely tough, had no flavor, and was missing the cap. This was a big disappointment as I expected more from award winning chef Dougie Krick. The meal included mashed potatoes, however, as they do not offer a baked potato, I substituted for steak fries which arrived greasy. Total with tip was $85. Given the quality of the meal served, not a value. The server was very attentive and frequently refilled my drink without asking.
