Then I noticed the workers were not Chinese or friendly. Then, the most important thing - the food! The food looked OK. Once I started eating the food, it tasted like thrown together and yucky crap. This stuff shouldn't even be served to animals. That's how bad this food is. And, they have the nerve to serve a lunch special for $5.99 w/a eggroll and drink. Their rating is basically what you can expect. Staff is nice and friendly. Restaurant is nice and clean. The food is not labeled. And prices are a little steep. But they really give you a big ass plate. Lid almost didn't close. I picked half and half. Their fried rice is typical. And the same goes for the chow mein. I picked jalapeño chicken which was bland. And the jalapeños had no spice. And I picked the king pao chicken which had good flavor but the meat was very fatty and chewy. There was a few good big white meat pieces that were good. I did enjoy the cucumber and onion pieces as well. Not sure if I will be back. It was worth a shot. The orange chicken looks good but I'm not sure. read more

Hong Kong Express offers the typical Chinese fast-food fare *except* for their chicken curry dish, which tastes great. I took a picture. A one-tem combo is $4, two item is $5.2 I think. They come with fried rice and chow mein (or steamed rice). The staff is fast and friendly and HK Express opens on Sundays, too. Inside there are booths and a 26"LCD TV. Not too bad. The $4.99 lunch special (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) will give you fried rice/chow mein, one entree, an egg roll, and 12 oz drink. You really can't beat a deal like that! I rolled through around 2 and had read the lunch special while driving by before so I thought I had missed it. I was extremely pleased to see that I was able to cure my "authentic" Chinese fast food craving for cheaps. I've gotten the curry chicken lots of times before (chicken thighs and legs, potatoes, carrots) and it's pretty damn good. I got the orange chicken today and it was deliciously super fatty and caloric so dipped it in some hot sauce to balance it out. Hot sauce balances everything out. Or at least makes everything taste better. The staff is super friendly and super fast. Recommend! read more

This place has been around for quite a while. Brings back childhood memories when mom will bring Chinese food... good Chinese food without the restaurant. Much much tastier than Panda Express. Don't usually do Chinese but this is the place I go to when I am craving some. Usually busy every time I go in. But it's worth it when you craving Chinese. You will leave satisfied. read more

What a great deal. If you're in the mood for greasy Chinese food on the cheap, this place is great. The serving sizes are very generous and the cost is very low. Service is always great, they are very friendly. Orange chicken is on the more sugary side. Hong Kong Express has got a secret I'm going to let you in on. Even though it's got all these warming trays filled with dishes that you may or may not be able to identify at first glance which look good, you don't have to limit your choices to the pre-prepared food that's been out for "you don't know how long". Look at the menu on the light board up on the wall behind the drink station and they will make your order custom and have it ready to go in about 10 minutes even on a busy day. My favorite is the shrimp and broccoli and their portion is big enough for a meal for two. They also will happily substitute your low mein for fried rice, no problem, if you want a combo. I'm not a big fan of oily spaghetti which is what I equate low mein to be. You can get a huge icey soda, bottled water or Snapple and you're set! Parking is not an issue here as they have two driveways with slots in the front and all the way around the building as well as street parking. read more

I can't really complain about this place. They're fast, there's a huge selection, and above all, the price is right. For lunch, you pay $4.99 and you get an entree, rice/noodles, an eggroll, and a drink. It's enough food to last two meals, which is even better. It's definitely not healthy, and the place could use some major upgrades. The Asian lady was very friendly went we came in , I tried combo #A rice , chow main , orange chicken which was good not complaints on this yummy!! But also I ordered wonton soup which smelled H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E like a rotten chicken not joke I try this kind a soup in different places and never had this experience, I told this lady about it and her answer was " that how it is and their restaurant "really ???!! Wow my recommendation DONT TRY IT DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Best non buffalo style wings ever! Jalapeno deep fried wings are a hit at any party. Get a tray and your guests will be thankful. No sauce needed, just make sure to eat in day one. A tray of 40 for about $30...best value, best tasting wings I've ever had....and I've had them all across the country. read more

I got the orange chicken combo. 5.45 plus tax equals about 5.90. The rice was normal just typical fried rice. Nothing special about it. I really liked the chow mein it was nice. On the other hand the orange chicken was horrible and thats why its getting 3 stars. The chicken is covered in breading and it's covered entirely in really thick gooey suace. When I don't want to cook I call Helen and ask her to fry me some fish and make beef chow fun. Tonight was even better. I asked her to make me some garlic shrimp and vegetables and it was delightful! Chinese food not the best here orange chicken heavy breaded and not crispy and the orange sauce not really orange tasting very gummy and sweet. All the entrees have a glazed gummy taste I'm not going to visit this place anymore I think they changed cooks. It used to be really good! Oh the fortune cookie stale and old tasting. read more

Originally, i wanted to give it more stars but two is really what it deserves. First off, you have to pay $.30 to use credit card - is this legal? The food looked fresh, the service was fast and friendly. They have $4.99 one item combo which is large enough for two meals. The chow mein is very basic and lacked flavor. The orange chicken is all batter. I should have driven the extra distance for Panda Express or Pick Up Stix. This is a cheap Chinese fast food place. read more
