    Beet salad

5 stars deliciousness! We enjoyed dinner with friends we are here visiting in Santa Fe. Excellent food, great and attentive service and conversation friendly ambience. We started with the focaccia bread, the olive tapenade was the star for me. We shared a delightful beet salad, so clean and fresh for summer. My tuna tartare was simple, citrusy, melt in your mouth. Hubby had the chicken thighs, that sauce was so flavorful! Highly recommend.

I would give this place 4.5 stars! We came here based on the reviews and the creative menu items. We had the focaccia, which was yummy!! It was a very generous portion. Probably enough for a party of 6 who want to have a little bread with some delicious toppings. We also had the hamachi, which was amazing! And the mixed greens salad was really fresh with a lovely dressing. For entrees we had the dumplings with shrimp added. The dumplings were ok but the rest of the dish was really delicious. I would have taken more bok choy and more chili oil! The burger was also really good (as were the fries). Also very, very big. We did not finish our entrees because they were so generously portioned. We could not (and glad we did not!) forgo dessert so we tried the chocolate tahini tarte. You must have this if you like chocolate!! Laurie, our server, was so wonderful! The ambience is very nice and I loved that the tables are not jam packed in. Try this place! It's worth it!

Highly recommend a reservation here if trying to dine on a Friday or Saturday. Although busy this place offers a pleasant seating atmosphere. Meal portions are decent and the food overall was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed how each item was plated. Definitely a place to check out!

Grilled snapper with delicate but oh so flavorful sauces (note plural) and toppings. This dish is nirvana.

The BEST restaurant anywhere. Truly. Freshest ingredients. Perfectly prepared. Amazing menu. Excellent staff. Lively but not deafening. Great wines. Bargain for this quality, incl wines. This chef has some great pairings - "everything from scratch" is real here- just get a res and go asap. You will be happy! happy! Happy!. House made fluffy focaccia with a cheesy crust. Watermelon salad with creamy goat cheese and arugula. The FISH!!! Crème brûlée comes with a warm cookie. Blueberry tart with lemon ice cream. Yes!! And very, very nice people work here.

We had a decent first experience at Horno. Sat at the bar. which was a bit of a mixed bag. The setup's a little awkward on the nearest end of the bar closest to the front door, with staff constantly moving in and out of the kitchen and picking up drinks right next to you, plus the angled cut of the bar makes it hard to sit straight on. That said, the bartender was fantastic she was super attentive, walked us through the menu, answered all our questions, and even made some great suggestions based on what we liked. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the vegetable dumplings, tuna tartare, and focaccia all full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambiance was lively and upbeat, so definitely good vibes overall. I think our slightly off experience was more about where we sat than anything else. Would absolutely give it another shot. next time, maybe at a table instead of the bar.

We had to wait for a table of 5 but not for long. The service was excellent with fast responses to any request. Noise level was ok but got loud when a group arrived and sat at the table behind us. The food was delicious with perfect sized servings. Definitely worth a visit.

We came to Horno upon recommendation from a friend of a friend. Wow! We are so glad we came. Everything from start to finish was incredible. Atmosphere, service, food, drinks and most importantly, Heather and Dave! Outstanding! The octopus was beyond delicious! I had the Grilled Black Angus Hanger Steak and loved it. My wife had the fish of the day and loved every bite! Didn't make it out of there without having the homemade pop-tart! It was to LIVE for! We will be back!

Came here with a group of 16 people and we got a private table in the main room. Good: - Overall the variety of food was really good and the meatball appetizer was super good it came with really grilled bread and a really tasty sauce. - The vegetable dumplings had a really savory and sweet sauce that I enjoyed greatly - The main dish was great but not my favorite compared to the appetizers and the other things that they offered since it was a lot of steak and some of it just was super dry. Bad: - The place was pretty simple, nothing too fancy even in the main living room - I found the cocktails to be a little too sweet - The creme brulee was too sweet for me I took two bites then gave up Overall this was a good experience I liked how much food we got and I was stuffed by the end of the meal.

Banana pudding something or another.... thick, rich and fresh!

What a wonderful gem we found at the last minute! We skipped an event due to the crowd being too loud and me wanting way better food. So on the fly, my husband finds the place and we waited forever for the uber driver but it was worthwhile. The food was on point, the service was excellent and the ambiance is perfect. It's a beautiful space without a bunch of unnecessary decor or noise. We enjoyed everything we tried. The special that night was grouper and we were just wowed with it. If you're in SF and up for fine dining without all the hassle....you have found an amazing place!

A visit to Santa Fe should probably include a delicious meal at Horno Restaurant on West Marcy St. I went there because of the amazing reviews and my dinner did not disappoint. I found myself dining alone since my travel companion took ill. I called up to make a reservation on a busy Friday night. The friendly owner found me a seat at the bar. It may have arguably been one of the best seats in the house. The bar and kitchen were bustling. They were fun to watch. The restaurant has a pretty, clean and modern decor. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. I ordered the Pollo Mattone. It's a half chicken prepared to perfection with polenta, mushrooms and broccolini. It was enormous, too, for a petite person like me. As I was resting to see if I could find room for a salad, the bar staff convinced me to try dessert. I had the Banana Parfait. It was awesome. I almost finished it. The drinks looked great. Since I walked over from the hotel and was traveling alone, I opted to go with a Hibiscus Spritzer mock tail which was wonderful and refreshing. No regrets. I texted photos of my meal to family. They want to join me on my next gastronomic adventure through Santa Fe. Thanks Horno for a most memorable dining experience.

Great spot!! I definitely recommend checking it out--one of the best restaurants in the plaza for sure. It has a solid simple ambiance. We sat in the room with the open wine cellar which was cool. The service was also pretty good. The lavender lemonade was refreshing, and the sugar rim was a nice touch. The burrata itself in the burrata bruschetta dish was underwhelming. Not much inner filling, so it mostly felt like a mozzarella. The surrounding arugula salad, however, was actually so delicious lol. I got the hangar steak as my entree, and it was fantastic. Cooked perfectly, and the sauce was super rich&savory. I would definitely order this again. The only thing was that these fruit flies kept flying around the steak and getting stuck in the sauce. Gross, but I don't really know what the restaurant can do about that. Overall, this was a great meal. My stomach was satisfied and I would go back.

The starters,…read moresoups, and salads appealed to me (and my girlfriend was minimally hungry), so we shared off that portion of the menu. The lamb tartare was expertly prepared, and perfectly complimented with housemade potato chips (seasoned, very crispy, and the right amount of vinegar). The ratatouille was phenomenal; very flavorful (both the veggies & sauce), perfectly cooked veggies, and some crispy kale. The steak tenderloin stew was excellent, and I appreciated that the Christmas chile sauce was on the side so you could add it to taste. The meat was tender, the stew had a good flavor to it, and the chile sauce brought it to another level. My girlfriend loved the green chile pineapple sorbet. It had a lite chile flavor, and wasn't too sweet. The orange blossom tres leche cake was outstanding, with the cake and meringue cooked to perfection (both with great consistency), and the lowkey orange blossom flavor complimenting things very nicely. We ate at the bar, Ben the bartender was a great server. His notes on the dishes were informative and accurate, and he also recommended some places in and around Santa Fe for us to checkout... I've been hearing about Joseph's for some time, and on my most recent visit to Santa Fe finally visited for dinner. It was the meal of the trip. The restaurant itself has a charming neighborhoody feel with several rooms, wood beams, local art, and adequate spacing between tables (one of my pet peeves is the lack of privacy caused by tables too close together.) The food. Oh my. Food should not bring me this much pleasure... It's an award winner, so call ahead.

The chicken bacon club cheese was mostly on one half and a very minimal amount of mustard/sauce. The bread was great, I did enjoy it but it was a bit inconsistent throughout. The rosemary waffle fries are great, I just did not taste a lot of rosemary and it did not have much of any parm. Truffle Mac n cheese I ordered to go. Thankfully I checked when I got to the car. There was no truffle at all on it. I came back in and the bartender was sweet and gave me a small portion cup of some. She is the one who talked me into it, even if I'm lactose intolerant, and it was worth it! I however did not get to try it with any of the herbs that were mentioned on the menu. That would have been a great enhancement. This place is cute, good food and I will keep coming back. Some things weren't great but were also corrected. The bar staff is typically very friendly, wait times for drinks are a little slow but I understand. Probably some of the best wings and Mac n cheese I have ever had.

Our son who loves cheeseburgers said his tasted funny, our daughters chicken nuggets tasted like the fish my wife ordered, and my Rueben was dry and chewy because the meat was reheated on a flattop instead of steamed like it should be. No one in the kitchen seems to have a clue how things should be done in a restaurant. I could go on, but what's the point. The only thing I'll remember about this place was bad food and the $100 we threw in the garbage. If I had the chance to have a redo, I'd go down the street and eat at Sonic, and Sonic sucks.

We ordered a burrito, fries and drinks - a Manhattan for my wife and a chocolate martini with Kettle One and crème de cacao for me. My wife's drink was to her liking, but the chocolate martini tasted like there was coffee liqueur in it. Since I didn't know when our waitress would appear again, I told the first person we saw - a young man - that I couldn't drink anything with coffee because of the caffeine, and that I needed it remade. He took it back to redo. While we were waiting, one of the pool players dropped a very loud f-bomb when he missed a shot. Then a young child began crying very loudly. The young man came back with the remade drink, and the coffee taste was gone. After it had been over 45 minutes I had to ask what looked like the manager what had happened to our burrito and fries. She went back to check, and our food finally appeared. The burritos were long on rice and short on carne asada, something we couldn't know until we started eating. At some point our original waitress came back, and my wife told her we had to send back my first drink because of the coffee ingredient. She denied any coffee-containing spirit was used, and walked away. We never saw her again. I had to ask the manager for an itemized ticket, since the ones we had were sign for a total amount only, with no itemized detail. Since the original waitress had closed out our ticket right after we ordered and had given us our check, we paid and left. No tip was left. If you want a properly-mixed drink, be prepared to explicitly request every ingredient. Better still, don't expect great drinks or food at this place - stay away. There are lots of other choices in Las Vegas NM.
