Our first visit here and we will definitely be back! The food all was great tasting and good size portions, great prices! We went during happy hour and it was really a great deal! All the servers were friendly and our food was brought out without too much of a wait. We even had left overs because the portions were so generous! The restaurant was a calm vibe and easy going, great for kids and families or just a date.

Over all ok experience, we arrived on a Thursday evening around 5:45 and there was no wait for a party of 6 plus a baby. Service could be better, we weren't offered a high chair and I actually went and got one myself. We had to ask for refills and the waitress didn't really check on us after our order was brought out. Sushi was also okay... the best thing I ordered was the salmon belly nigiri. My husband and I usually like to order a variety if AYCE isn't offered and honestly for the price I would have rather gone to one of our favorite AYCE spots. I suppose if you're in the area and are craving sushi you can come here, but I doubt we'll be back. Nothing in particular wrong with this spot, I just know better is out there for the price. And being that service wasn't spectacular, this place doesn't stand out among other casual sushi places.

Imma say, I NEVER review places, and I eat LOTS of sushi, and this is the BEST in terms of quality, taste, and service! They let us turn on a certain channel, gave us an extra roll on the house, and had the most amazing tasting salmon and cream cheese one called Pink Lady that I'm obsessed with. This will be me and my boyfriend's official sushi spot!

I went here with my boyfriend and this place was good! Customer service was great and the place is very roomy. The tuna roll was really big though and I personally didn't enjoy it as much, but the cooked salmon tasted good. Nothing crazy though, I would recommend to try it out though!

Amazing sushi and great service. The fish is very fresh, and the premium sushi options are excellent. Prices are very fair for the quality and the cuts of fish are very generous. Definitely has become one of my favorite sushi spots!

Came here for a quick bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was on point and the sushi tasted so fresh. The interior looked really cool and there was plenty of parking in front. Can't wait to come back!

Went in for a quick bite while my son was at Mathnasium. Wasn't packed at 3:30. Apparently we just missed the lunch special Wanted a simple Avo roll and Salmon roll. Both good sized pieces at 6 pieces each. We also got garlic butter edamame. Good amount for $8. The ambiance was quiet with 2 tv's

First timing dining here and it was decently packed for a Saturday late night! We got the 10pc + 1/2 udon combo and two item bento box. All the foods were good and the prices were pretty good! I paid $17 for my bento where most places charge a lot more. The sushi was good - some a bit fishy but they were thick. The seared salmon was the best. They also offered us free ice cream after our meal. Will be visiting again!

Great place for a late-ish night dinner, since they're open until 11pm! We really enjoyed the happy hour menu and $1 nigiri. The fish to rice ratio was perfect (a little rice and a thick piece of fish). We enjoyed trying the kitchen items like the udon and soft shell crab. The ambiance is fun and modern, although the bathrooms could use some cleaning. They gave us matcha ice cream at the end and it was a yummy treat. It's definitely going to be a usual late night option for us!

How is it 40% off?? I actually questioned it because it wasn't anywhere obvious on the menu but it is! The sushi itself is actually not bad either so it's such a huge value The fish is pretty good quality and enough that it doesn't feel cheap. And at that price, you can't really beat it anywhere else. On a weekday dinner it was really quiet and service was pleasant. This might be my new go to place for sushi Food: 7/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Service: 7/10 Value: 9/10

What a lovely spot! It's inexpensive, the quality is fairly good, and the restaurant is well-kept. Though, claiming your business is "happy hour all day" is.. a stretch. If certain items were labeled as a discount menu, I wouldn't be so bothered. It's a strange premise, but I can't be too upset after only paying around $30. The staff were a little quiet, but checked in on us frequently, and the fish was very fresh. Not my favorite, but I absolutely recommend Hoshi if you're in the area!

Best sushi I've had in a while! Staff was nice about us staying close to closing. King Kong Brain roll is good, lots of food. Gave us ice cream for birthday, thank you

I've been there twice and the food is great. The shrimp tempura appetizer came out perfectly crispy. We usually order around 4 different appetizers before ordering sushi rolls. I think the staff are friendly and try to attend to customers as quickly as possible. Restaurants looks clean and has a nice ambiance.

So we found this place and it was in the same vicinity and yay, they took reservations. Made reservations same day for a 18:30 seating. Service is impeccable. We were welcomed with hot towels, and this impressed me: when our server asked if we wanted cold or hot water. Love it! We opted for hot, better for digestion :) Our libation: Kubota sake - semi dry, rich, clean Our dishes: Assorted sashimi (16 pcs) - omakase. No soy sauce needed. Chef prepared with delicious flavors in mind. Tiger scallops - served in a what appears to resemble petrified wood, carved into a long boatlike dish. Hokkaido shrimp, cilantro oil, chilaquita (Peruvian onion relish), sweet potato crisp, smoke aji Amarillo (Peruvian yellow chili) Leche de tigre (rich emulsion of limes, Peruvian spices and chilis) - A complexity of flavors that comes together so completely. Eat with spoon. The delicate potato crisp finishes the bite with a little crunch. Udon picante - bell peppers, quinoa and 2 jumbo shrimp. Love the heat level. Comfort food at its best. Salmon parmesan - Nikkei sushi - seared salmon, parmesan bitter, eel sauce , arare, lime. Amazing. O toro sushi - the fattiest cut of tuna. Eat as is. Again chef prepared. No added seasoning required. Parri maki - fried shrimp, cream cheese, seared tuna topped with chimichurri, aji amarillo, chalaquita, ponzu. Food experience was enhanced by their impeccable taste in music. Super chill, soft beats stream the restaurant. With its perfect lighting too sets all the good moods for us. Don't wait for this fine dining experience of Japanese and Peruvian fusion. Note: when they ask if you want soy sauce, say No, thank you. It would be a shame to kill the taste of a beautiful dish with any added sauce. Kampai! Salud!

As for the sushi itself, some pieces were solid while others felt a bit average and not especially memorable. That said, for around a $100 omakase, I think the experience and quality were fair for the price point. You probably shouldn't expect ultra high-end, top-tier omakase quality at that range, but overall it was still enjoyable and worth trying at least once.

It turned what could have been a simple dinner into a memorable experience from the moment I sat down. I ordered the sashimi plate, and it was absolutely outstanding--fresh, beautifully prepared, and surprisingly well-priced for the quality. What impressed me most was the honesty of the staff. I was considering ordering a larger portion, but they actually talked me out of it because they knew I wouldn't finish it. They were right. That small gesture showed me they cared more about giving me a great experience than squeezing a few extra dollars out of my wallet. That kind of customer service is rare these days. What makes this experience even more memorable is that I had just come from X Fish Izakaya, where I spent nearly an hour waiting to be seated while watching people who arrived after me get seated first. I left feeling frustrated and completely overlooked. Walking into Chubby Sushi was the exact opposite experience. Here, I felt welcomed, appreciated, and genuinely taken care of from the moment I walked through the door.
