I had never done anything like this and it was a super cool experience they set out a plastic table cloths and give you gloves to wear and even a bib. It's a whole process. You can order Combos and choose or swap items from the menu to fit your liking. King Crab legs were super delicious and so was the lobster tail. We ordered 2 different combos to try more seafood. You then can chose a seasoning to put on top. Lowering my review by .5 bc one of the seasonings was a bit salty. Each combo also comes w some corn and potatoes and egg. Literally some of the best food I've ever had. The Cajun boil with the shrimp crab and crawfish with potatoes and the corn on the cob. Literally the best food ever. Unfortunately this is how I found out I was allergic to boil I'm not sure what ingredient made my lips tingly and my mouth swell. Let me say that this is the BEST place in the DFW area to go to for it. We got 6 pounds of crawfish for $48. They came with complimentary potatoes and corn which is rare to find at any restaurants. Most will not give these along with the meal, it's always extra (not cheap). The size of these crawfish were ENORMOUS!! The whole batch were mini lobsters. I wish I wasn't leaving a 1 star review so badly, but this concerns safety so I feel I need to. I ordered a friend basket combo with shrimp, oysters, and catfish. While the shrimp was delicious, and one filet of catfish was mostly ok the other items were not. The fried oysters tasted fishy and I actually almost hurled before I swallowed. One of the pieces of catfish was mostly mushy with tougher sections in it. I honestly have no idea how that happened. Like I said, I wish I didn't have to leave a 1 star review, I honestly feel my life might have been in danger, or at least in danger of going to the hospital if I had actually eaten most of the basket. Then cause we were still hungry (we could have stopped but we loved it!) we got the most expensive one (combo f) with king crab! I really did enjoy the food and recommend it. Boiling crab and tasty tails, there's a new competition in the city of Dallas now which is Hot Crab. So I'm pretty picky about eating seafood, it needs to be fresh and it can't be too salty or too spicy. So I hear there's a new place in Richardson is called Hot Crab so I give it a and try it. Well, first the outside doesn't look that nice. But all change when I step inside, the decoration is new and everything looks like what a seafood restaurant suppose to be. They make it look like a dock near the sea. So now let start with the food. So the family and I ordered two special combinations that cost 49.99, two lbs of shrimp, two cajun fried rice, a fried basket, and a few more items I forget. All of them turn out super good. The king crab taste as fresh as it could get and the shrimp(Heads on) tasted super fresh just like it's fresh from the sea. In addition, even in a seafood restaurant somehow their cajun fried rice taste better than the one Chinese restaurant made. In addition, it only cost us a total of $160 for a table of 9. Which is less than $20 per person for seafood. Much cheaper than boiling crab and tasty tail. So I would definitely return when I'm craving seafood. The food is trash and so was the service. I ordered online at 7:45pm got there at 8:00pm and didn't receive the food until 8:40p. Our friends who ordered after us got there food before us. After tasting the catfish it was not good at all and not catfish. I told the man at the register I did not like my order and if I could trade it for the shrimp instead (I tried my boyfriends shrimp, didn't have much flavor but it was doable). The man tells me "this is what you ordered and we already made it, we don't want to waste food". I explained to him I understand that but I don't like. He then said "you shouldn't have ordered it if you wouldn't like it." How the hell am I suppose to know the food would be TRASH! Who tells their customers "you shouldn't have ordered it". Took husband there for his birthday and he is very picky about his crab legs, they MUST be King crabs. He ordered the King crab combo with shrimp, sausage and crawfish. Let's just say he never lifted his head from the bag until done. When asked how was the food, he said Awesome and that's from a man who speaks few words. His favorite part of the meal, the boiled egg in the bag. I got a history lesson on how that egg was only done overseas and now this is his new birthday wish restaurant. I had snow crabs for dinner...ordered there to take home. The seasoning was watery and kind of salty. The crab was overcooked and took a lot of effort getting the meat out of the shell. We ordered boiled crawfish, crab, and shrimp. The crawfish ...live prices, $13 per pound, and every single one was frozen. Not even frozen mixed in with live but straight Frozen. What a fraud! Disgusting and disappointing. The snow crab was old and bleachy at $37 per pound! The worst was the fried catfish. Heavy, dense breading. Gross. How dare you charge these prices? What a joke.
