Decor/actual restaurant: This particular location is very small and tight with limited in-store seating. The interior is cute, I like the blue color theme they have here. For a restaurant designed for to-go orders, I believe that there could be more waiting room and a couple less chairs. Service: Like many "fast food adjacent" restaurants, the people who work there have good customer service but I imagine deal with the worst. I know they're doing great with the situation they're in. Kudos to them. Food: this is probably my harshest critique. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich, and it was fine. I don't believe it was worth the $16 I spent though. The chicken was kind of bland, tasted similarly to frozen grilled chicken pieces you buy from a grocery store. I do wish there was more sauce. The pesto tasted good but overall there was too much bread. I fear you would be better off making something like this at home for a comparable price. The bread was good, just too much. I don't want to base the menu on this sandwich alone, a lot of the menu options sounded delicious, but this was just the experience I had!

I waited patiently... until the guy at the register handling the bills and coins turned around and started handling the food. I heard the woman behind me utter "gross". At that point, I turned around and left to drive to Wonder Bagels on Bergen or Sip, both of which I have been to which are much cleaner. This place would get a perfect rating for their sandwiches, options, cleanliness, popularity, taste, and prices, however the service is horrible. I almost never want to return just because I feel like and am spoken to like cattle and as if they can do without my money or service. I've experienced it first hand. The place seemed busy one lunch afternoon so instead of forgetting what I wanted on my sandwich, I figured I fill out one of the restaraunt provided checklists for making your own wrap. The attendant taking orders had a fit, snapping at me, "Why don't you just tell me what you want on your sandwhich," instead of reading from the restaraunt provided checklist. Efficiency. I was trying to make it easier for her in a place so packed that me, 5'2" barely had space to stand without a stranger elbowing me in the face. Then, when you go to pay for your food, it's another horrible ball game trying to get some respect from the attendants on the cash register. They know the place is popular so I wasn't treated as if they valued my service. I felt the treatment was totally undeserved. For those that believe that we aren't owed anything, I think you're kidding yourself. Just because I'm hungry doesn't make me desperate. On another occasion, one of my coworkers called in to ordered a sandwhich. He didn't check his bag when he left and realized they had given him a salad instead. They then called him back on the phone and told him to return it as if it were his fault. If you can get past all this, then you'll enjoy the freshness of their food. I ordered 2 chicken salad sandwiches with white bread. They arrive with brown bread that has seeds in it (rye?). I have no idea, what type it was, I only know that it was brown NOT white. I called seamless to see if they wanted to come exchange the sandwiches, although my lunch break was ending and time was an issue. Seamless spoke to the manager, who claimed he packed the order himself and it wasn't true. I challenged him to come get the order so I could show him/his staff that it was clearly brown bread with seeds; mostly I was offended that after patronizing this business for the 7 years I have lived here, that he would accuse me of stealing food. When I spoke to the manager directly about the order, he told me that they had "written down my name", to protect them from future scams I would commit. I told him he wouldn't have to worry, because I would never do business there again. 7 years, bridge burned. We've come for a week day date night to the Hudson's Grill we both walk past every day and been meaning to try out for so long. From walking in the menu is right in front of you and simple and easy to select a pizza which you can add to with a selection of toppings. We were greeted and served by the lovely and friendly waitress. Service was bubbly, friendly and helpful. Place was full of a variety of customers groups of friends to couples and families. The decor is trendy and vibrant. We're ready quite quickly and tasted amazing, great value for money. Would definitely recommend to locals in Jersey City and anyone passing by! read more

Got some lunch sandwich and omelet from this, I was surprised with quality they have and everything was so fresh and well kept, sandwich were really yummy... I tried couple of time everything bagel they have toasted with cream cheese, they have best begal in the world, crunchy and soft with fresh cream cheese. Recently this place become everyday'a place. Excellent food and same excellent service! My friend invited me to this place for lunch one day and we were supposed to eat sandwiches but that day I tried a soup and this was something unbelievable. Fantastic and brilliant! We ordered the quinoa bowl and I LOVE NY sandwich. Everything is made right after you order so it's quick and fresh. The sandwich had a great sauce and plenty of vegetables in it. As there was no free seating we walked down the road and sat down at a square and enjoyed the food as we people watched. The staffs were accommodating and made ordering easy once it's your turn on the queue. They also ensure that you get all that you requested! This is the best place for sandwiches and with a very pleasant atmosphere. Sometimes, it may seem a bit messy but frankly speaking, I enjoy it. Unfortunately, I cannot come here for lunch every day since my office is far from this place. But nothing can stop me from visiting this place on weekend. I had been looking for a nice lunch spot around Exchange Place for a few months and am so relieved to have finally found Hudson's Grill. None of the other restaurants nearby strike me as exceptional but Hudson's Grill definitely stands in a class of its own. The service was phenomenal, and the food was great!! We were promptly seated, had our drinks, then had some Crispy Asian Chicken Wrap (delicious, 5/5) and C6 Monte Cristo (godlike, 10/5). I'm so glad my husband spotted this place because it was amazing! I like how the menu had a lot to choose from and it's wasn't all your traditional sandwiches! Our sandwiches were so good! I had lunch here last week Tuesday. From the time I walked into Hudson Grill till I stepped out, I was pleased with the quality of the Sandwich and friendliness of the waiters. Props! I just starting working in the area and one of mine Co-workers recommend it this place. I came in during rush hour and the place was packed, I ordered one of their hot specialty sandwiches (highly recommend) and was in and out of there in minutes. Super fresh! Great bread choices.
