This restaurant was just opened on Sat 9/23. We went on Sunday around 9:15am and there are already 4 tables before us. When we are done there quite a few people waiting. May be good to come early or weekdays if you don't want to wait. We tried Bun Bo Hue #1 and Bun cha ca Da Nang. BBH tasted a little bland for our taste, however I loved the taste of the Bun cha ca much more. They didn't skimp on the fish paste. Will come back to try other the items on their menu. The Bun Bo Hue was not oily. The soup was flavorful and the noodles had a nice chewy texture. The thick crab and shrimp soup was good. The texture of the udon was too soft. Both soups had a lot of ingredients. The soups tasted very fresh and clean. The Tofu dessert was ok. It wasn't very sweet. FYI - they charge $1 per person for water. It's on the menu. My cousin and I haven't had Hue food for a long time so we chose this place because it was trending and the decor was cute. There's not much parking space in this plaza during peak hours shared amongst 5 businesses, but I suppose one can park on the residential street nearby if one is out of luck in the commercial space. We shared Banh Bot Loc, Banh Beo, Bun Bo Hue, and strawberry sugar cane drink. My cousin complained the Bot Loc was tiny and I complained the pork grinds on the Banh Beo were oily smelly reusing old cooking oil for the batch. Knock off a "*" star here. Other than that, everything was delicious down to the drink. BBH's soup broth was simple and clean. I'm glad to leave there with a light happy belly. This place is great! It's been remodeled somewhat recently so it's very clean inside and the service is great. During peak lunch times it'll be busy most of the times and it'll be hard to find parking since the location in general doesn't allow for too many people. I go here pretty often because it hits the spot if you're craving bun bo hue. I've tried many other places but this one is the most consistent one. Soup is always flavorful and they have condiments to alter to your tastes. They also give a tofu dessert at the end which is tasty :). Highly recommend, can't go wrong here! read more

My mom always find the most random restaurants but they're always so good. Vietnamese word of mouth is on a whole other level than Yelp, fr lol Anyway she took me here for lunch the other day and it did not disappointment! Small-ish restaurant, but with plenty of tables and fast service so we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a table. I ordered the BBH, my husband got the bun cha ca, and my mom got the bun cua. Honestly, I thought all the buns was very well made, great portions, with plenty of toppings. But my BBH was the best! I would get that again, hands down. I ordered a side of cha hue too! Very good. Banh Beo 10/10 This was the best banh beo I've had compared to all the ones I've tried in Westminster. The flour was soft but not chewy. The shrimp was sweet and had good flavor. Sauce was also perfect, not too powerful but just right. Bun Bo Fully Loaded 8/10 It had all the meats plus additional ones I have never had with the traditional dish. The broth had the perfect temperature and the meat was super tender. It shows they spent some time to prepare the dish. The broth was sweet and somewhat flavorful, but I have to say the soup at Quan Huy was superior. Overall, outstanding food and excellent service. The restaurant has about 10 tables and relatively small parking lot, so parking can be a challenge during peak hours. I would definitely recommend to try this restaurant at least once. read more

Like others, I read through the good & bad reviews before coming because I don't want to waste time/money. I gave this place a try over the weekend and it was super worth it. I stepped in during lunch rush and got a seat pretty quickly. My first impression with the staff here was excellent. Staff worked efficiently, organized & very welcoming. The place was very clean and aesthetically pleasing with all the greenery around. Now to the food. I ordered the popular dishes like banh beo & bun bo + tai (rare steak). Gosh everything was so delicious! The bun bo tasted just right to me. Broth: not oily & flavorful. You can add the sate on the table since the bun bo is not spicy. This is great so people can adjust the level of spice on their own. Meats: tender. Veggies: fresh Banh beo was the best I've had so far. The shredded shrimp was so fresh and juicy unlike places that dyed the shrimps/used dried shrimps. The crunch of the pork rinds+freshly shredded shrimp+onions+fish sauce= perfection Without a doubt, I will bring my family back here for them to try this place. I'm very happy that this place has opened again after a year(?) I don't know how long but I missed it. I have been coming here since 15-16 yrs old and now I'm 24 :) My mom and I ordered the mi quảng and bún bò húe and a side order of the chả. Unfortunately they forgot about my side order of the chả but I'm not gonna complain. I was so into eating my BBH that I forgot about it as well. My mom who is a very picky eater really loves the mì quảng. Practically ate the whole thing. The service was really great and they were being very nice. TWO STARS LESS FOR NO FREE WATER. I don't want free dessert. All American restaurants have free water, if you do business in America you should know this practice. Even the Korean, Hong Kong, and Taiwanese understand the free water customer courtesy. Bun bo hue and bun cha ca are the best here. It's tasted just like my home town Da Nang. Mi quang is okay, too much pork and only 1 pc of shrimp paste. It cost more than bun bo hue, why? I have no complaints regarding the foods. I thinks your business will be much better if you provide free water. There are a lot of OC Vietnamese restaurants getting over their heads charging people left and right for water. The broth is clear, not have fishy smell, however, it does have a smell that I don't know what it is, & the size is generous. I definitely recommend this place for bún bò. Flavor of the soup is flavorful. We would definitely come back. If you speak English , they won't really understand you. So make sure you speak Vietnamese. We told the waitress to have the bean sprouts cooked but they came back with a coke. We addressed it to another waiter that kinda understood us and he apologized. When it was time to pay, my husband went to the counter to pay as everyone is doing. The same guy that we addressed the coke to, charged us for the coke. My husband didn't look at the receipt until he noticed the amount when we left. We decided to just give it as tip bc it's not worth going back to address the issue again. read more

I love this place. My girlfriend and I get it every time we're craving soup or BBH. We always get the Banh Beo as an appetizer; it always comes out warm and I love that they add the fried pork skin and all of the fried onions and fresh green onion. The Cha Tom Hue appetizer was recommended to us by our waitress and it's a good pairing to the Banh Beo. The Bun Bo Hue Tai is our go-to; it's hard to find many places in the Westminster area that offer the rare steak for some reason, but I did notice that's a more common option in the San Jose Viet area. It's always great; flavorful yet light broth as some other reviewers mentioned, while providing a good amount of meat, noodles and fresh veggies. They also use lime which is a plus; some places end up using lemons since limes are higher in price. As for drinks, we've only tried the strawberry sugarcane drink but it was surprisingly really good. We normally get Cococane in the area, but we've never tried a sugarcane drink with strawberry; it wasn't too sweet and I'd definitely recommend it if you enjoy strawberry and sugarcane. The owner is a nice guy, always recognizes us and knows what we like to order when we come in. He has great service and we've only had good experiences with the other waitresses as well. They even give you a complimentary tofu pudding for each person typically. Can't say enough good things about this place and hopefully this review encourages anyone seeing this to try it out; I'd like them to stay open for a long time! read more

I've been craving bun Bo hue, and why not try this new place that just opened on Euclid. We got banh beo, bun bo hue and mi quang. My favorite out of the three dishes was the banh beo! The bun bo had a lot of meat, but it wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping. It had a lot of meat to make up for it, but it's not amazing when it comes to the soup base. Husband got the mi quang, and FYI, the noodles are not your typical mi quang noodles. It's not as yellow, and husband was disappointed as it was too soft. It doesn't go well with the dish. I'd give this place a 3.5 out of 5. We placed a togo order as this location recently had its grand opening so it was pretty crowded as well as it's located in small plaza with other shops so there is not a lot of parking. Expect 40 min for your togo order as they are currently backed up due to high amount volume of orders. This wasn't a problem for us as the employee notified us before we ordered. Now to the food review. We ordered the bun bo hue and the banh nam. I liked the bun bo hue broth as it wasn't too oily, however they seem to skimp a bit on the meat, not a lot of meat and they only give you a piece of pork blood instead of two or more compared to other restaurants we have been too. They use pork belly or some other part of the pork instead of pork hock so that was a bit unfortunate. I did enjoy that they give you ample amount of vegetable condiments. You have the option of ordering your bun bo Hue as spicy or non spicy so it's nice for people who don't really like spicy food. The other food we got was the banh nam. Although the banh nam had a lot of meat filling on it, the flour batter part of the appetizer was a bit thick compared to my liking.
