The food was okay, The waiters take a long time and don't really check up on you. I had to walk around to find a person for my refill, I got a spoon that was DIRTY.

This IHOP is always so slow. Slow seating, slow serving, slow cooking. Quality of food is pretty standard compared to other IHOPs, just be prepared for a bit of a wait.

My family hadn't been to an IHOP in quite some time, and being that we had a gift card, we thought, what the heck?! It's Christmas Eve, it was cold out, and we could go for some flapjacks. The location itself is in a pretty sketchy part of Bakersfield next to some motels that were being rented out to a rough looking crowd. Besides that, the location is very convenient. As we walked in, the server already knew who we were, and escorted us to the table my aunt was already sitting at with my grandmother. It was in a part of the restaurant that seemed to be more of a covered/indoor patio. I had to keep my jacket on because it was drafty for sure. Lanie was our server and she was fantastic. Took all our orders with a good knowledge of the menu, and got us our drinks pretty quick. The food itself took about 25 min to get to our table, and when it did, about 50% of the food was room temp, some items were warm, and the only things that came out hot was the coffee. Lanie explained to us that where the food sits to wait to be picked up by the servers was not under a heat lamp. She took back the 50% of food to be warmed, and brought it all back and her apology on behalf of the restaurant. Overall, the food items were tasty, my kids loved the various syrups, and there enough to take home. The location of the restaurant gets -1 stars for its location. And -1 for the cold. Besides that, it was a good experience. If we ever go to IHOP, it'll likely be at their location on Rosedale.

I didn't think I would ever, but I have to honestly take back my previous review. I decided to return, I'm glad I did! Today was the best! Even on a busy day we were seated and welcomed with best customer service. Our waiter NIKKI was VERY attentive. She definitely has years of experience. We even met Brent the manager and he made sure our food was the way we ordered it. The New management is definitely starting to do improvements. Thank you very much for making our stay a great experience to definitely want to return again! Keep it up!

First time at this location and JACOB'S service was outstanding. Very attentive to his tables, the ambiance was very welcoming and friendly. Chefs did a great job with our meals, both presentable and tasteful. Will definitely be back!

Service is good but slow. Food was cold and so so. Next time I'll go to Denny's. Bathroom needs some TLC and the SMELL. Ugh.

If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're satisfied with your food/drinks.

We finally decided to try Huevo House, and with a name like that I was expecting both cuisines, but I wasn't expecting the Mexican flavors to be this good! The menu was a decent size--one side for breakfast and the back for lunch. I didn't look at the lunch side, but the breakfast options were great: plenty to choose from without feeling overwhelming. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. Our server was attentive and informative. She took great care of us and even made conversation, which added to the overall experience. Overall, such a good visit. We'll definitely be back!

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
