I recently went here on Tuesday night around 6pm we were craving pancakes. There was 1 server only which is understandable because it was dead. There was 2 of us and a child and then another couple walked in not long after we got seated. The other 2 tables were leaving. It to a half hour for us to just get waters we were dying of thirst. Then when we got our food mine came with fries but there were like none on the plate. My friend ordered just pancakes they were so small and dry def not worth the 17$ for the pancakes nor $15 for my burger. My daughter had the kids gru meal which was alright. Hmmm where to start??? Well I've been coming to ihops for years now and I've noticed a little change in their quality!!! Pancakes ain't as IHOP originality anymore and that's not just this location its others too! Scrambled eggs are over cooked and don't have that fresh good taste! The pancakes seem rough and the butter just different. Maybe it's all their open 24hrs or I don't know paying employees more per hour!!! Food was cold and bland, no one made mention of the specials didn't even know they had any until we left. The server didn't listen nor pay attention to anything we asked for. Didn't check on us dropped the food off I asked for butter and never got it. Food wasn't good I ate a piece of sausage couldn't eat the pancakes due to there was no butter and he never came back. Waste of time and money will never ever return to this location. The restaurant wasn't busy, clean but not busy enough to forget the butter or ask if we wanted a beverage with our meal. First time eating at Ihop and I had such a pleasant visit. We were greeted upon arrival. Sat within 5mins. We came on a friday during lunch rush so I was expecting a longer wait. Bathrooms were clean and had a pleasant vanilla smell to it. Our server Miriam was all smiles and took our drink order and after delivering our drinks she took our food order. She was very fast and attentive. We got our food and loved everything thing. Hot, seasoned well and my chicken fried steak was crunchy yet moist and gravy was delicious. I especially love that they bring you a little hot carafe of coffee with when you order a cup of coffee. The bill was around $65 for 4 plates of food plus 4 drinks. Service was good and fast. Ridiculous! I will not come here again. Today my husband and I decided to place an order to go for my daughter's birthday. My husband picked up the food and when he got home we realize they did not give us our ny cheesecake pancakes or our side order of hash browns. He called and let them know the issue and the lady over the phone stated he is able to go pick the rest of the order that was not packed. When my husband got there the lady decided to then tell him that the pancakes were packed and not missing from the order. First of all why would you tell him to go pick up the rest of the order that YOU or the staff did not pack if you're just going to tell him no and state that you can give "complementary" pancakes instead. Excuse yourselves but we PAID for the food nothing about that is "complementary" especially when YOU decided to give buttermilk pancakes instead of what we paid for especially since the pancakes we paid for cost more then regular pancakes. The picture in the menu looked good. $15.99. Not the best of prices but I ordered it. When I received my plate I was shocked . These breasts were what I buy in a bag at COSTCO. I truly cannot get enough of this IHOP location, and trust me when I say I've been to numerous ones.. probably visited every single IHOP in SGV and more! The first two times I've visited was to pick up togo orders so yesterday was the first time I got to actually dine in.. and one word I can describe my experience is PERFECTION. My bf and I called around 8:30PM just to confirm business hours and the gentleman picked up the phone almost immediately and was incredibly polite over the phone. When we arrived by 9PM, it was sort of late so we pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves. As we walked in, we see the employees sitting down at booths prepping for the next day's work. As soon as they saw us from the windows they all jumped up immediately and greeted us as we walked through the door. I honestly don't know what it is about this location, but every single time I stop by, everyone is SUPER NICE, SUPER APPROACHABLE and SUPER ATTENTIVE. We were seated and Marlene took our order. She was extremely polite and didn't rush us while we looked through the menus. She even suggested what we should order! We ordered: -Sausage & Eggs Combo: scrambled eggs, hash browns, and 4 sausage links that comes with your choice of french toast & crepes OR strawberry & orange cream cheese crepe (this was what I ordered... YUMMY). -Country Fried Steak: two eggs, hash browns and two buttermilk pancakes (you can choose which pancakes you'd like, we ordered the chocolate chip buttermilk pancake). -IHOP SPLASHERS (OMG!): Splashberry (strawberries, lemon-lime soda and orange juice), Tropical Island Twist (MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE) lemonade, lemon-lime soda and tropical mango syrup. I visited IHOP on 12585 centra Ave, chino, ca 91710. the service is horrible my wife and I took my grandkids for lunch at this place on September 11,2024 at 11:45 A.M, but the service there is horrible for a place that it is open 24 hours a day. the employees there don't want to work I believe that a supervisor needs to be there not in the office in front of the computer, there is one lady at the front door she took us to a table but then after that we sat down, we wait for 12 minutes for a server to come and asked us what we would like to drink, then we wait another ten minutes to take our order. then another 12 minutes to get the food to arrive. the restaurant was almost empty there were only four tables occupy so there is no reason for long waiting. I am not going back to this restaurant employees forget that customers pay their salaries the restaurant. no customers no business no jobs no checks. read more

Our waitress wasn't around except to take our order and give us our checks. She never came around for any refills and we had to get up and ask if we needed utensils or napkins. I can't believe we had a bad experience at a place that should be more welcoming. We went in on Friday night about 9:45pm and the place was relevantly empty. It was us party of 2 another table with a party of 2 and a large party of 8 that's all . The party of 2 next to us had half their order given to them and by the time we left the second half of the order came up , which was an order of waffles and an order of pancakes. We waited close to 45 minutes and our order was not even on the hot lights waiting to go so we decided to leave. When we told the waitress we couldn't wait any longer she called out to the supervisor who was sitting at a booth looking at YouTube videos she told him she was not going to charge us for coffee we had while waiting , he just looked up from his phone and waved it off like he didn't care . Fernando you better care about your job because this is what is driving this location down. Yes , Fernando was the name of the supervisor more interested on what was going on with YouTube than the customers at his location. Stay clear of this IHOP location if this is the way management wants to run it and I'm sure his upper management is condoning this because nothing has changed.
