Well, I must say the food was basic edible. Nothing to ride home about but consistent. The service is always wonderful. I'll find out the attendance here at this particular. IHOP are kind and courteous to everyone. The ambience well it's basic however their major issue is a homeless encampment outside of their front door and in the parking area. It has to be corrected. Came to breakfast on a Sunday and it was full so we waited a few extra minutes. Waitress was busy so it took a bit to get our drinks and our orders taken. Our food was good the only issue we had was getting burnt toast which they took back and gave us a new one but the fact that it passed by at least two employees? that toast was absolutely not edible. Treating my mother out to breakfast. While getting new tires installed from a local tire shop we needed to burn some time. Since my mother was joining me I thought it would be nice to go and have breakfast together. IHOP is conveniently located near Pep Boys and was in walking distance. It was an early weekday morning and they place was not crowded at all. As we were waiting to be seated the waitress gave us the option to sit where we please. I let my mother choose the best seat in the house. Since my mom does not go out much she sees there is a lot of different types of option for her. Although she sticks to her script it was nice for her to see something different. The food was great, service was superb and it was a pleasant experience to have. I have gone to many I Hops over the years different locations, in various cities. This is by far the worst of them of all! I had ordered 2 eggs 2 pancakes, and coffee $22.00. wow! All of the other franchises would price my order from the over 55 menu. All of the other locations I get a senior discount even if I order from the regular menu. At this location no discount!!! So the Keep It Real Guy one and done your out!!!! I think they are aware of Wendy's, Jack In the Box, Denny's, all have closed hundreds of stores, Franchises 10 times the size of I Hop forced to close, large chains filing for BK protection. I would always go to the IHOP in West Hollywood, now closed!! This location in Panorama City is poorly run, with poor management, and a poor franchise owner!!! On February 20th order the breakfast family face with pancakes because the app does not allow for any substitutions or requests. I called the store to request that half of the egg portion be substituted with egg whites because I have an allergy to an egg yolk protein. I have made this request before with no issues. The manager stated that there was a IHOP corporate policy that forbade the substitution. So, I offered to pay for an order of egg whites separately. To which she informed me that she was unable to accept payment over the phone and all options are available on the app, which they are not. At no place in the app is one able to order a side of eggs or egg whites. Substitutions can occur on the entrée level, but nowhere else. . But an additional entree purchase would increase the cost nearly 50% and result in more food than was needed. The manager then informed me that since I was not paying for the sausage, hash browns, bacon or eggs of the family feast, only the cost of the pancakes, no substitutions would be made under any circumstances. To which I became exceedingly frustrated, so she hung up on me. We called back to cancel the order but were informed that the order was being prepared and as a curtesy, the manager would sub out half of the whole-eggs for egg whites. The manager stated that there are eggs in the pancakes but since we were unable or unwilling to accept the additional cost of plain egg whites, she would not be including cheese on the egg whites. A price comparison using the app shows that there is absolutely no price difference between the purchase of four meals with egg whites ($56.36 before tax) versus four meals with whole eggs (also $56.36 before tax) but, there is most definitely a price difference between the purchase of four separate meals versus the family feast. The family feast being $29.99 before tax. The manager's statement was assumptive and ill-informed of how some allergens and food sensitivities work. Moreover, the practice and policy are predatory and discriminatory. It makes no logical sense to force people in this economically diverse area to incur an additional 47 - 87% of cost in the purchase of an additional entrée or four separate entrees if there is a minimal cost difference being absorbed. Eggs are more expensive than egg whites at the moment. And since when did food allergies become a concern only for the affluent? read more

I am giving them 1 star just because I can't leave this empty. I order three items that made a total of over 50$... ridiculous!! The food quality is poor. The preparation time was over 40 minutes. The "French toast" were literally dry bread that has been dipped in eggs form only one side. No cinnamon, no milk, no sugar. Plain egg mixture. Strawberries and bananas were old and it barely came with any. I also ordered a Chili Green Omelette that came with beef which had a terrible taste. I didn't eat it. The burger my boyfriend ordered was small for the price, cold and the side of fries were undercooked. Never in my life will ever let anyone I know to get food from IHOP. This is a franchise location,with that said.I'm sure that other locations in other area's are probably a little better.There was only 1 server and a bus boy and 1 cook during my visit. The server had about 7 tables.So are we really going to get good service. She did the best job that she could do. You could see it in her face,she was tired. I was also surprised that this location closes at 9 pm and there was 2 couples that came in and the server told them they where closed. It seems to me that a lot of companies try to save and cut labor by sending employees have early, rather than focus on providing customer service. The bus boy was focused on cleaning, rather than helping the sever with her tables. Know one wants to smell the soap and hear the vacuum while your eating. Not a good visit. I don't know if she was having a worse day or what but there was absolutely zero pleasantries and she was kinda rude. approach the table with what do you work and didn't ask about sides or anything on top of that we had to wait forever for a check and she never checked in on our table. the restaurant itself was decent they still have partition wood between tables which is nice but they look so gross and filled with peoples dirty fingerprints but we always clean our own tables anyways so we rectify that issue. read more

December 1st, worst service ever! First, the girl taking our name put Andy instead of Patty. Even after I repeated it 3 times. Andy name was called and 5 other families. I got up after seeing other families being seated, and it turns out at least 7 families had gone before us. The guy finally seats us just to sit for another 30 minutes, later our service comes. Now we are sitting another 20 min, and our food is still not here. Other servers just looking and apparently no know helps each other here.
