I don't know why it surprised me so much when IKEA lunch disappointed me so. -_- IKEA is first and foremost a furniture company. Shit wasn't even dirt cheap like their breakfast is (which is so much better and cheaper imo). The line was long and I thought the price was grossly overpriced especially their salads so I picked out their Rosemary chicken combo which I thought was worth the $6.99 deal. FOOD: The chicken was dry as the god damn Sahara desert, the mashed potatoes were definitely powdered as I could tell from the texture when I poked at it and the boiled vegetables were essentially 'boiled vegetables' no salt or pepper, nada, it was bland. The meatballs were a little bit more okay than the others, but I didn't think it warranted a raving review about it because it simply wasn't that great. It tastes gross with the gravy in my opinion, I would opt for the lingonberry sauce instead. ATMOSPHERE: Might be the only redeeming quality about eating at IKEA, the walls are mostly glass that peers out towards the neighborhood and hills, the white modern furnitures I thought was fitting, but it does get relatively loud for lunch. read more

I love the West Covina Ikea location (so much better than the Burbank one). This is the branch my family always go to when we shop for IKEA furniture. Customer service is always up-to-par and and honestly, the quality of their furniture excels their price range (We bought a couch 8 years ago, moved to different houses, and this couch still stands strong haha). Their food is decent for the price you pay. You also get a nice, spacious, clean ambiance. Of course, like any other cafes, it's super busy and noisy during the weekends. But why I decided to give them a review is because I lost my iPhone just a couple of hours ago at their branch and their staff was tremendously helpful. From the cafeteria cashier to the stand-by reps, everyone was willing to help me without any complaints whatsoever. They directed me to the lost and found (the staff were very precise with directions), and even one of the customer service rep walked me to the department. The Lost and Found staff (Ryan) told me to drop my info down and when I got to my office, he had left a message on my machine saying someone had dropped my cel phone off. I'm writing this review to give credit to Ikea management. I had an issue where I took a specific part to the returns desk to order additional pieces. The last ordered the wrong part despite the face that I gave her exactly what piece I needed. When I realized what happened I called ikea (it's really hard getting directly to the store, the prompts puts you in loops and a lot of times the departments don't answer the phone. After several attempts I got Tim (manager for returns and exchanges) and he handled my situation from start to finish in a polite and expedited manner! He had to check the back room for parts but quickly took down my number, called me back within 5 minutes and handled this professionally the entire time! Kudos to Tim for fixing an issue! Hope the employee that originally placed the order gets coaching and much props to Tim. If you ever need spare parts for ikea furniture, they have every piece, screw, bolt u could imagine, just ask. read more

Ultra low cost because you're expected to bus your own tables. Pop music plays from ceiling speakers, with occasional IKEA announcements. Oddly, you can get an extremely healthy adult meal here as well as children's meals. Great view but noisy from the voices of lots of children. Nice play area for toddlers in the southwest corner. Less noise in the southeast corner. Nice little lounge area with soft seating and coffee tables near the north entrance. The (free) orange IKEA family card gets your coffee/tea free on every visit. Check the calendar... you can feed your entire family free with purchases exceeding $100 on certain random weekends (8 throughout the year). read more

I fell in love!! Swedish meatballs were amaze-balls!! With the perfect side of mashed potatoes, gravy and steamed but not soggy green beans and yellow green beans, got a couple green peas too in the pod. The meal was filling, light yet satisfying. We ordered garlic bread too. It was great, nice n toasty. I love that they have carts to take along to hold your trays for your food. It's very convenient especially for a disabled person like myself. The food is fresh and the kitchen is very clean. The food looks good and not a mess. The people working there serving the food are like little machines just trying to get through the rush. The staff isn't very talkative or friendly but guess they're busy working. It's fast paced and the line was long but only about a 10 min wait from start to finish at checkout. The checkout cashier was friendly and happy and very nice. The drinks are all sparkling sodas with their own brand of flavors. No Coke or Sprite here! The flavors are crisp and fresh. I really liked that they have a wide selection of healthy food options for kids too. My 1 year old and 10 year old were both happy little Ikea shoppers with a stuffed tummy. It's a great place to have lunch and walk it off. The restrooms are nice and roomy... We visited the family restroom and it was very clean and nicely stocked. The changing table had table covers stocked and Luvs diapers up to size 3 for guests to use. My baby is out of the size so we passed on that but what a nice gesture. Very family oriented. We will definitely be back. Parking was nice too, found my handicapped parking right by the elevator and the elevators are huge!! Full of Strollers, shopping carts and lots of people. First time there. Place is huge. Got lost 100x. Didn't like that I had to find my own furniture in the warehouse. Stood in line for 45 minutes to pay, just to get home and realize the desk I bought had missing pieces. The chair I bought has a loose roller that keeps falling off. Is it weird that I rather go to Ikea to eat instead of shop? I can never hate this place. Their half rack of ribs were sooo good. I tried keeping things clean by using a fork but it wasn't happening. The next time I came here, I had the meatball combo. The meatballs itself is $3.99 but for $2.99 more you can get a soup or salad and a beverage. I got their vegetable soup which was loaded with various veggies and in a tomato based soup. But my favorite thing about IKEA, is their lingonberry juice. I wish it was sold in other stores so I can buy a gallon of it. I love this place!! read more

I thought walmart has bad cashiers, I guess, I am wrong. My family used to like this ikea, but not any more, we rather to drive a bit farer to costa mesa location if we need to buy ikea's item, (but there are walmart target, costco......). Peoples are hate themself to be working at WC Ikea, specially the as-is dept. No matter what you ask them, they just give you a negative reaction, like go away. Honestly the restaurant has been going downhill for years I don't know why but it seems the food has been tasting like it was in the frozen for a month, they overprice the food for what it is. I mean seriously I got a salmon that was thin and small. The portions have been getting smaller and the prices have been getting higher. If you are a member of the Ikea family you get a free coffee, just remember to show them your card when you're paying for your order.
