During our visit to IKEA we stopped for a light lunch at their restaurant area located upstairs. When you get there you just grab an IKEA cart as well as a food tray. Then proceed to the Cafeteria style line. Whatever catches your eye you tell the servers & they'll give it to you to sit on your tray. once you got everything you want you just proceed to check out. Right next to that is the very large dining area. It was very clean & extremely spacious. With huge windows to give you a nice view of the mountains & the rest of the surrounding area. Tried the chicken tenders, fries & macaroni which was all good. Seen some really nice pieces of salmon & veggies that I'll definitely try on my next visit. read more

I haven't been to the IKEA restaurant since the pandemic. Only one food line was open but they had all the food. Salads, desserts, meatballs, mashed potatoes, and a few more items plus they have breakfast all day. I ordered the cod with peas, gravy and rice, the cod was perfect, it had a lemon flavor, a light crust and it was juicy. I finally went to IKEA! I have been personally avoiding this place because I know me and shopping specially at a store like this I would go in debt. Now you don't go into IKEA expecting the highest quality food in their restaurant but it is honestly not bad. It is set up cafeteria style where you grab a tray and cart, pick what you like, check out at the end, and serve yourself drinks. Due to shortages, they don't have certain food items and drinks. Their pear soda is out of stock. I have been here several times over the years and slowly the individually packed drinks have disappeared. They were amazing so I missed those. Not sure if they choose certain salads, wraps, entrees, to be served only on certain days or not. Not 100% of what they offer is served each day. But I was very happy to see they had the smoked salmon salad on my most recent trip! It is, in my opinion, the best deal on their menu! Fresh greens, potato salad, smoked salmon, and their delicious mustard sauce. For only six dollars? Great deal! I always get this salad when I come! I wish they still sold the sauce bottled because I would stock up on it! Swedish meatballs are good and I enjoy the lingonberry jam that comes with it. Also comes with mashed potato, gravy, and veggies. Tried the side of fries and they are pretty decent. They taste good dipped in the gravy. In the past I have tried the salmon balls and vegan balls. Both were honestly not too bad but I would prefer eating the swedish ones. I have enjoyed the dessert here very much! In the past I've eaten a berry cheesecake which was yummy. This last visit they had a chocolate cake and one of my favorites is this chocolate nut nougat. It's full of nuts and covered in a small layer of chocolate. Yummy! This was probably the best Vegas find during the few months I was living there. Living just a few minutes away was one thing, but finding out about their cheap food options and the fact that once you join the Ikea family, you get a free cup of unlimited coffee/tea (where you can get lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) for anybody in your party - yeah, that sold it for me. Especially once I went back to the West Covina location and realized that the "free" hot drink is basically limited to hot tea, coffee, and water. If you want the specialized drinks, you have to pay for that - which was not the case in Vegas. (Edit: so I guess all Ikeas charge for specialty coffee now ... that wasn't the case a few months ago, which kind of sucks.) But anyway, this Ikea Café is pretty amazing. I love the open windows and how it overlooks a very nice view. There are comfy spots near the windows for patrons who want to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or meet up with friends. This is perfect for members of the family who want to have an affordable meal where they don't have to worry about kids crying or screaming. I was at this Ikea a lot. I did my studying during the weekends and even had fellowship group here. And the cheap food? Where you can just get some cornbread or go all out and get food and dessert - it's amazing. I've tried the pasta, the salmon, chicken strips and fries, their $1 breakfast, their $2 breakfast, the meatballs - everything is decent for what you get. It's not the best, but you definitely can leave feeling satisfied. I'm not a fan of their Swedish pancakes, but the cornbread, the meatballs, the potatoes, the salmon and waffles were all pretty good. I really appreciated the fact that I could sit a little farther away from the actual cafeteria and get several hours of studying done while nursing a cup of the specialty latte that would last me several hours. And the marzipan dessert - only $1.49 but you get the lightest and creamiest dessert that melts in your mouth. I thought that was the best $1.49 I've ever spent. Can't rave enough about Ikea and Ikea's café. Unfortunately there's only one location for all of the Vegas area, but I'm glad I lived close enough to it that I was able to visit frequently. My favorite part of going to IKEA is the cafeteria!! Super cheap and super good. The only problem I constantly have is that the vegetarian/vegan meat options are always low in stock. The last few times the Veggie Balls were out and I had to just eat some fries, because every other side dish was out too lol. But when they ARE in stock, the Veggie Balls are my absolute favorite. Came here with friends and family this morning to try the breakfast. Breakfast ends at 11:00am on Saturday and Sundays so we got there at about 10:30am and got in line. The menu was short and too the point with many delicious looking options. My girlfriend and I both had he Swedish Breakfast which includes scrambled eggs, potatoes, two pieces of sausage and a crepe with raspberry jam, all for $2.00. My mother in-law had the small breakfast which was everything we had, minus the crepe and for only $1.00. I added a cinnamon roll to my meal and my girlfriend added a side of potatoes. All three of us got coffee, which is free is you are an IKEA member, also free. For all three meals, I paid just under $8.00. Side note: the specialty coffee promotion ended so only regular tea and coffee is available free to members. Still delicious but you must purchase tokens now in order to get a cappuccino. The restaurant was packed so I am sure the staff was busy, plus they were gearing up for lunch staring at 11:00. They ran out of coffee, ketchup and the tables were dirty. We had to clean ours before sitting down because people left their cups, trash, napkins. That's rude people! Any-who, the food did not disappoint, it's just the keeping up with the dinning area and drinks/condiments that needs a little bit of help. I highly recommend! read more

I liked this so much more than I thought I would and especially for the price, it's like 1/3 of what normal vegan food costs. The meatball is small so a one biter and isn't dense. There is a chew to it. I like the combination of savory and then a bit of that sweet lingonberry sauce. The mash potatoes was surprisingly good as well. It's smooth, thick, and just a little creamy. For a budget food court I have to say they did really well. Veggie dog - this is just a plain "Noooooooope" from me. I didn't like it at all because it was nothing resembling a dog. Can you really beat $1.00 breakfast? It's called a small breakfast but it includes eggs, sausage and the yummiest potatoes. The waffles cost a little more but they're so cute and heart shaped and come with whipped cream and jelly. Coffee is free if you're a member but you have to pay for specialty coffees and are given a token to put in the coffee machine and then pick the drink of choice. Breakfast starts at 930am even though the store doesn't open until 10. We went on a Friday and it wasn't overly crowded. I've been for lunch and I love the vegetarian meatballs, so tasty. They always have great dessert options too. I got a chocolate cake this last time but all that I have tried have been good. The line moves quickly and you can seat yourself. The little tray carts are always fun for the kids, being able to push your food around and ram it into things or people...oops! IKEA changed the chicken finger meal dramatically. My daughter has been eating the chicken fingers meal for going on 2 years now and noticed today that the fingers are not as tender and breaded differently. Sure enough, they are drier and more dense and the breading is more corn meal like compared to previously. Definitely not as tasty as before. This was only my second visit to IKEA but my first visit to the IKEA cafe'. I had heard the price point for the food was super reasonable and we decided to check it out. The cafe is located on the second floor and is easy to find. The ordering is cafeteria style so just follow the line. In addition, they provide these really useful carts that you use to carry your food to your table. So efficient! When you are done, you bus your own table and they are very environmentally friendly which is a plus in my book. The cafe is spacious and large making it easy to find a table to sit at. We got lucky and landed a table in front of the big picture windows. It was roomy and really relaxing and oh that view of the mountains! For $22.00, here is what we received - Swedish Meatballs with gravy, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies Chef Salad with chicken, tomato's, cranberries, pecans and dressing Vegetarian Meatballs, bismati rice and mixed veggies A piece of rich, decadent chocolate cake - Yes, please! Everything was tasty, but I really enjoyed the vegetarian meatballs. They had so much flavor and I was really surprised that they were so good. I even bought some on the way out to take home. The mixed veggies were tasty as well. The chocolate cake was moist and rich. I could only enjoy a couple bites but that's ok as we all shared this hearty piece of cake! Honestly for just a snack fast and cheap this little cafe market place is not bad at all The cheese pizza is good, the crust is thin and crispy. I finally tried for the first time the veggie dog and was surprised. It tasted like veggies and spices. That was a nice surprise compared to the new fashion of impossible burgers that tastes like meat and they are no meat. This one was not tasting like meat definitely! That being said, it's cool to have a dining option before, during, or after a shopping excursion at IKEA because that can take half the day (been there, done that). The cafeteria style setup has a huge opening dining room and several dining options from salads and fresh seafood to desserts for just a snack, as well as kid friendly options and healthy choices. And those meatballs. Everything is affordably priced and a full meal here, with drink, is unlikely to set you back more than $10. I tend to gravitate towards their salmon options, which have been consistently fresh so far. I do enjoy their lunch items more. There's their famous meatball plate that's $5.99 and a salmon plate for the same price as well. It's a lot of food too so you are really getting your moneys worth. They also have desserts with my favorite being their cinnamon rolls. Best part is that if you have their Ikea family club card (free to join btw), you get a free coffee or hot tea with every visit. The facility is wide and spacious with lots of tables and an awesome view outside with their glass walls. There is always an employee walking around and wiping up tables, so I appreciate the cleanliness. Employees are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. The prices are in the cafe is affordable, and my family really love the value. The chocolate cake dessert is unbelievable! After walking around the store, I got ideas on how to rearrange my home and I ended up buying some lighting fixtures, which is a great value for the design! The cafe has other food items such as Schokoladballen, almond cake, salads, soups, garlic bread, lingonberry, mashed potatoes, veggies, chicken meatballs, stuffed chicken, veggie meatballs, etc. Their fountain drinks include raspberry water, lemon drink, lingonberry water, cola and diet cola. You grab a tray. Scoot to the left where the hot meals are served. Tell them what you want. Hop on over behind you if you want Soup or garlic bread. Back to the cooler for Salad or dessert. Grab a drinking glass. Head over to the cashier. Fill your glass with your drink. Find a table. Nosh. There's plenty of seating. My favorite items are Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes, beans, and lingonberry + a slice or two of their almond cake (oh so good. It's like eating Ritter Sport with crunchy stuff) to be washed down with lingonberry water. I believe it's ~$10 for everything. That's cheap! They offer a small selection of entrees with little room for modification. I tried the vegetarian meatballs and was particularly unimpressed. The food they offer is no better than what I can make at home (and I'm by no means a good cook!) so would rather make my own (I think mine would taste better) and save the money. All their food tastes quite bland. The cafe is great for employees and those who spend hours in the store so need to catch a quick meal. Not sure what it is, but the Swedish Meatballs with mashed potatoes and gravy are sooo good! I'm not a fan of the lingonberries and they really need to do a better job with thier veggies. A lot of times, I'll get like one broccoli and all carrots. The least they could do is take a few extra minutes to mix them together. I have tried a few other things here: Chicken Tenders and Fries - I have had better frozen ones from the grocery store. The fries were kind of soggy. Blueberry and Raspberry Cheesecake - nothing special, tasted like a cheesecake. Chocolate Cake - also nothing special. The icing on the cake was good, but the cake could have been more moist. Never tried any breakfast plates here, but the husband said it was average. Just a few complaints. One, I really wish that they had straws because I hate drinking from thier glass cups without it. Two, they really should have employees wiping down the tables more often. Not bad overall - the two of us can eat here for less than $15 and this restaurant has nice views! read more

For being an Italian I sure Do love Swedish Meatballs YUM!!!!!! Finally got out to Ikea to eat lunch!!! I love this place! I got their specialty "Swedish Meatballs, Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, Soda and Salad". It was Delicious at many levels. Bite By Bite! :) I did not want the Swedish meatballs to disappear "down my belly" so I took my time and enjoyed every bite. The price was very reasonable, the sitting area was very nice n clean and the staff was very professional! I totally recommend for all the family! IKEA Food Court? or do you mean CAFETERIA? Because that's what the food looks and tastes like. Yeah, they got great views of the Vegas landscape and nice dining facilities, but the food is seriously lacking in taste. I guess you get what you pay for??? Both our meatball entrees (Swedish and Chicken) looked and tasted similar to food you would get in grade school-mashed potatoes, flavorless steamed veggies, meatballs and gravy all separated on your plastic tray, but here, its just all slopped together on your plate as if your were in prison or something!? One bite of the Butterscotch tart and that was it. tasted very artificial... The only meatballs I'd ever pay for again are the ones from Pizza Rock and Cugino's Meatball Parm.
